《The Class Of Dan ThunderField》33-Silvian Brook

At a mansion,
“What?! Izumi Roka is going to be the one who will be the team leader for Dan’s team?” Tarand questions one of the servants of the mansion.
The servant has blonde hair. He wears a black vest coat over a long white shirt with a tie that goes with black formal pants. He also has white gloves and black colored shoes. There is a charming yet scary look in the servant’s eyes.
“Yes indeed.” The servant says.
“That’s that Eastern Princess, right?” Tarand asks.
The servant nods, “That is true, my liege.”
“Is Dan ThunderField really fooling around? I mean why would he choose her as a leader instead of himself? There has to be a deeper meaning to it...” Tarand seems to be excited with a smirk.

In the bus,
Gracie has a griffon so she is going to make her way back on that. I am sitting in the back seat because I felt like it but...I just have one question...Why the hell is Izumi sleeping on one of my shoulders and Carly on my other?! This situation...It’s not good for me...
Horrell is looking at me and so is Elena from the front seat.
“Teach, you better take care of my sister.” Jack who is sitting near the window next to us says.
I smile, “I will.” I look at Jack and say.
“She’s a little annoying though...Just like that old man tsch!” Jack says.
“Hmm?” I look at Jack, “By old man you mean Old man Jake, right?” I ask.
“Huh?! I never said, my old man. My old man is someone I can never forgive. I am talking about that other old man who I met when I was in the City.” Jack says.
“Who would this old man be?” I ask.
“I don’t know his name or any kinda major detail like that but...I remember he had a photo of a woman that I returned to him. That woman had silver hair just like you.” Jack says.
She had silver hair like me?! Isn’t silver hair a rare color?! Even my brother doesn’t have the same color as mine.
For whatever reason, I feel like I wanna see this woman with my own eyes...
“Sir Dan...”
Izumi is tightening her grip over me. Is she dreaming about me? I smile.
“Dan...”
Boobs! I didn’t realize both their breasts are touching my shoulder...Just act naturally and have a poker face.
“I am surprised that you can act normally even though two girls are poking their breasts to you.” Luke says.
Thank you for pointing out the obvious genius!
“It’s not a big deal. They are sleeping and tired...”
Plus even if we have rested a lot, both Carly and I are still injured...
“I see...” Luke thank you for believing in my point genius!

We finally are back in the city after a long 6-hour ride. It’s already night time.
“Everyone get back to your houses. The day after is going to be an important day.” I say.
Everyone nods.
“Alright Sir!” Luke says with a smile.
“I will be taking Izumi back to the court.” I say.
“Bye Sir!” Everyone says their goodbye.
I stretch out my body.
*Smooch*
“See you later, Dan.” Carly says to me as she kisses me on the cheek then walks away.
I look at Izumi who seems to be pouting and making an angry face.

“What’s wrong?” I ask with a nervous smile.
“Nothing!” Izumi angrily says as she looks away.
I don’t understand what’s with her...

“Idiot...I understand that she is his girlfriend but it’s frustrating to watch them...She makes me jealous, too jealous, way too jealous!”

Izumi is whispering something but I don’t understand what she is trying to say...

I am walking with Izumi to the King’s court. Izumi seems to be sleepy. Just how much does this girl sleep?!
I stand in front of her.
“Huh?” Izumi seems to be confused as I bend in front of her on one knee.
“Come on leader, get on my back.” I say with a smile.
“That’s too embarrassing, Sir Dan!” Izumi screams in embarrassment.
“No one’s watching though.” I say with a smile.
“But...”
“Come on now! Even I need to get back home, you know.” I say.
“Fine...” Izumi looks to be getting red.
Izumi climbs on my back. So now I am giving her a piggyback to the King’s court.
I begin walking with her on my back.
“Sir Dan...Why did you make me the leader of this team?” Izumi asks me.
“That’s because I believe in you.” I say.
“That’s a thing to say but...I couldn’t even move when that guy showed up and started beating Miss Gracie and Mister Evan. I just couldn’t do anything...” Izumi looks to be sad.
I smile, “I never planned to be a teacher for royal bloods like you.” I say.
“Huh?”
“I even considered throwing away my job after that Little Princess almost stabbed me to death.” I say as I give a sad smile, “But...There were people, people like you, Horrell, Luke, Jack, Elena...You guys made me stay here. You guys make me feel like I am special when I am not. Even I am just a normal human like you guys. I am no god and yet...Luke looks up to me like I am one. He has high expectations of me. Horrell wants to be treated normally for once. She feels like she has found a friend in me. Elena was frustrated dealing with her inner demons and she couldn’t trust herself so she trusted me. She wants me to protect her. Jack doesn’t like being open but he wants to make friends...I mean that guy is always so lonely whenever I see him. As for you, you wanted me to train you...Train you until you are able to protect those who are precious to you. You all maybe my students but because you admire me so much...I really feel special when I am around you guys...I-“
Izumi is asleep. I think I was blabbering on for too long.
Something’s wrong...When I look at her face closely, she’s very cute...
I shake my head. What am I thinking?! I already have Carly...Calm down, you pervy little guy.
I sigh...
“Seriously, thank you for making me feel special and thank you for sticking around with me.”
I didn’t even realize that as I was speaking I had already reached the King’s court.
“Guards, would you let the King know that Dan ThunderField is here.” I say to the guards.
“Understood!” One of the guards says.
A few minutes later,
The door to the King’s castle opens, “The King calls for you.” A guy well dressed in a golden armor says.
The guy has brownish red hair color with a pretty handsome face to go with it. Plus even with that armor, I can see that his body is well built. There is a sword next to his waist and a helmet that he can put on is right behind his head. That’s the armor technology my brother designed. A person can hit a certain button near the armor’s neck and the helmet will be automatically cover the certain person’s head.

I walk with the guy in the golden armor with Izumi on my back.
“You are that Dan ThunderField who everyone was talking about.” The guy says.
“What do you mean?” I ask.
“Well, I heard that you made quite a ruckus in the court and the King was away for almost a month because of you.” The guy says.
“Is that so?” I guess I know what they mean.
“I also heard you killed Umba.” The man looks sad. He then sighs in disappointment, “I never expected him to go down that path. That guy was always the heart of the army and he used to enjoy every moment he spent here. Yeah, he was a little on the rude side but he still had a good heart.” The man continues to speak with a sad smile.
He became a villain to protect something that was precious to him...I think I would also do something similar if someone I found special in my life was in danger. Looking back at it...
“Please protect my daughter...”
That was his final wish. For a stranger he is, he really is putting a lot of faith in me.
“Please protect his daughter, Sir Dan.” I look at the man with widened eyes.
“This is Princess Izumi’s room, please lay her down there. Even the King is in there so you two can talk.” The man says to me as he begins to leave.
“Hey!” I stop the man.
“Hmm?” The man looks confused.
“What’s your name?” I ask.
The man smiles, “I am The Commander of Warfare, Salvian Brook, nice to meet you, Sir Dan.” The man bows.
I smile, “Same here, Commander.” I say.
Commander nods and begins to walk away.
Salvian Brook huh? You are an interesting person.
XXXXXX
Dan ThunderField, the man who created that entire ruckus huh? It seems that you are definitely a worthy ally of my lord.

I open the door to Izumi room. Her room is quite clean and tidy. Everything on the bed is arranged properly as well as the study table seems to be well managed. There is also her wardrobe but I don’t know how things inside there are.
The room is quite bright with two bulbs in the room.
“Hello there, Dan.” Fracia says as he looks at me.
“This room is quite good.” I say as I lay down Izumi on her bed.
“I know right? It’s quite a surprise that the Princess of the East is the one who tidies her room every day.” Fracia says.
Fracia moves to take a look at the study table, “I mean it feels like she is quite an ordinary person and not a royalty.” Fracia says.
“True...I mean it’s only been a month we were away and yet the only thing I see is dust in the room. If not for that, this room would be quite a clean one.” I say.
“I didn’t ask the maids or butlers to clean the room since Princess Izumi doesn’t like it.” Fracia says as he sits on a chair.
“Why don’t you take a seat too?” Fracia asks me to.
There is one problem...There is no chair...
I guess I will sit on Izumi’s bed.
“Thank you, Dan.” Fracia says.
“Hmm? For what?” I ask.
“That’s because you helped that little girl. She has friends and all but it’s all because she is the Princess of the East everyone wants to be close to her. No one genuinely wanted to be her friend. That made her quite unhappy.” Fracia says with a sad smile.
“Even if she is not my daughter, I have always taken care of her like my daughter since she arrived here. Maybe I have been partial and pampered her more than my other two daughters.” Fracia laughs it off.
“She has been quite happy since that day she was kidnapped and you saved her and when I saw you with her in Carliva. I saw that she had actually made friends, friends who wanted to stay with her not for her status but for who she is.” Fracia says with a sad smile.
“Your daughter...I mean the Little Princess Kaileen, will you really sacrifice her?” I ask in an upset tone.
Fracia looks at me and then looks sad again, “Kaileen, I do want to save her...But as per the church-“
“Are you seriously going to give up the life of your daughter for what a church says?! Isn’t she your daughter?! Isn’t she your flesh and blood?! Are you seriously after power?! Or are you just scared to say your words out loud? I don’t hate you or anything Fracia but...What I hate are your actions. Have you ever spoken to your little daughter?! Have you ever asked her how she feels? Have you ever tried to know what she is going through?! Tsch! You know, one moment, you look like a cool King to me and the other you look like a disgraceful King. Every time I think highly of you I am reminded of something that makes me have a pretty low opinion of you.”
I get back up, “I will take my leave.” I say.
Fracia nods.
I walk away from the room.

Fracia clenches onto his robe while looking to be quite angry, “I am a coward! I seriously am a coward!”

I walk down the corridor leading to the exit, that’s where I see Shirogane.
“Papa!”
Shirogane runs towards me, “Hey little girl.” I say with a smile as I look at her approach me.
I sit on my knees to talk to her.
The balls are still floating around her.
I touch the balls, “How’s everything here?” I ask.
“Not cool! The two Princesses’ are really rude, you know? They really spout nonsense things at each other. I don’t like it here, not even a bit!” Shirogane pouts angrily.
I chuckle.
“What are you laughing for Papa Dan?!” Shirogane ruffles my hair as I laugh.
“Sorry! Hahaha!” I say as I laugh.
I don’t know why but I feel at joy with this kid around me. It’s like she has positive energy to make anyone smile.
*Pat*
“Shirogane, say what wanna come to Papa Dan’s house?” I ask.
Shirogane’s eyes sparkle, “ABSOLUTELY!”
“Go let the King know you will be leaving with me. He’s in the room behind me.” I say as I point at Izumi’s room.
“YES! YES!” Shirogane quickly runs towards Izumi’s room.
“What are you doing here...?!”
That’s a familiar voice. I look behind me and find Flesty standing there.

A Virtual Invasion
An invasion from another dimension is shut down by an Empire's traitor and the world has a scant few decades to build the strength to resist a multidimensional Empire. How will the world fair when no one even knows its doom is one barred gate away? Fortunately, the traitor has a plan. Maybe with a bit of luck and planning, he can build a force to defend the world without anyone realizing it. Author's Thoughts: What is litRPG (From wikipedia) - LitRPG, short for Literary Role Playing Game, is a literary genre combining the conventions of MMORPGs with science-fiction fantasy novels.[1] LitRPG is a literary genre where games or game-like challenges form an essential part of the story. A LitRPG work simultaneously narrates the story of characters inside and outside of the game-world. At least some of the characters in a LitRPG novel therefore understand that they are playing a game: they are 'meta-aware'. So, while Tolkien's Lord of the Rings is a fantasy novel, a book about people creating avatars and interacting in a Lord of the Rings MMORPG would be a LitRPG novel. Why do I read them? You know, I am not too sure. I love MMOs. I played them, quit them, joined up and repeated the cycle. They are fun! They are a massive waste of time but so are most games. Do I want to read about someone else playing them? Sort of?The advent of VR and the possibility of VR someday becoming so immersive that you can't tell them from reality sets the imagination on fire. What if this could be life? But most stories fall short. At the end of the day the protagonist hangs up his VR helmet and goes to have dinner with his mom and dad or other family and it becomes meaningless. It's like the story that ends because the main character woke up and nothing you read matters. There have been some books that explore the concept of the intersection of reality and total immersion VR. Enders Game is a classic. There were a few others that escape me but they exist, however, the cross between the game and reality is weak.So what if the game was real? The technology needed for total immersion VR is so advanced that by the time we reach that goal technology should have naturally evolved to include several items. You must have direct neural input. You simply can't have a total immersion (all senses and perfect presence) experience without this basic prerequisite. If you have direct neural access, you can probably do neat things like feed knowledge and skills directly to that person. You can undoubtedly do many horrible things as well. Muscles are controlled by the brain. If you control the brain why would you let the body just sit there and rot? A person that sits unmoving for 24 hours a day will have their body whither away just like a coma patient. However, if you control the brain you could control the muscles. On a basic level, this would be isometric impulses, working muscle group against muscle group to avoid atrophy. Taken to its logical conclusion you would be able to gain muscle mass and program muscle memory. The flip side is that you could remote control their body... but let's not go there. So what would people do if it were real? Well, they would probably limit and regulate it since the drawbacks are very obvious. Even if you look at the basic aspects of this you can see some negative possibilities. Look at the Sword Art Online anime. Personally, I think they missed the boat by putting a bomb in the VR helmet. Do you really need a bomb when you have direct access to the brain? So what kind of events would you need to have a situation where the obvious drawbacks haven't been explored? Maybe a society where the advancement of technology has so far outstripped the explorations of its applications that ignorance was truly bliss? Okay, so I had to put in an alien invasion to kickstart the premise, but that was just one of the possibilities.
