In a charming room,
Someone is listening to the broadcast, “Class 1-A Team 2 qualified without getting hit even once huh? That’s quite an unexpected development.” Tarand says with a smirk.
“That is indeed quite surprising, my lord.” The blonde butler who works for Tarand says.
“It seems we will have to be keeping a close eye on the second round.” Tarand says.
The blonde butler nods with a smile.

In the locker room,
“So, was he happy?” Elena asks Izumi.
“What?” Izumi seems to be confused.
“I am talking about Mister Handsome, was he happy?” Elena asks.
“W-why would you ask me that?!” Izumi seems to be flustered by Elena’s question.
Elena takes a huge sigh, “That’s because you went to check on Sir Dan, didn’t you?” Elena asks.
*Creak*
The door opens as Jack, Luke and Horrell enter, “The second round will start in about 5 minutes.” Horrell says.
Elena leaves an exhausted sigh, “Don’t they know that we need some rest too.” Elena says with an annoyed look.
“Well, it’s just one more round then we are done for today. The top 16 rounds start tomorrow. 8 matches will be held simultaneously.” Izumi says.
“I know, I know, I will rest after this round but first...” Elena smirks, “Let’s win the top spot in this round.” Elena says.
Izumi smiles, “If we can. After all, we need to be careful and not get ourselves hurt, you know.” Izumi says.
“I understand.” Elena is disappointed.
“Anyways, the round will start soon, shouldn’t we be gathering in front of our gate?” Horrell asks.
Everyone nods.

“It’s time for the second round everyone!”
“What is it you ask?! It’s Golem Hunt, it’s a game where you try to hunt 100 golems within 30 minutes. There will 100 golems that will pop out one by one and for each golem you defeat your team gets a point. The 9 teams with the lowest points will be disqualified and the 16 teams who will get the highest points will qualify for the next round.” The announcer says.

“Now the rules are explained let us dive straight into the game of GOLEM HUNT!!!!” The announcer announces as the crowd cheers on.
*Creeeeakkkk*
The door slowly opens as our five students of Dan enter the room.
A golem pops out of the ground.
“Getting straight away into it huh?” Jack says with a smirk.
“Is this Golem seriously the same level as that scissor guy?” Luke asks.
“Not a doubt.” Izumi says.
“I don’t feel that we are on the same level.” Elena says.
“That’s because we are already too strong for that thing.” Horrell says.
*Swing*
The Golem decides to swing onto Jack.
*Bang*
“Seriously dude, you are really weak.” Jack says as he holds the Golem’s fist with his right palm.
Jack picks up the golem and...
*Smash*
Swings it to his other side breaking it into pieces.
*Crack* *Crick*
Another Golem is about to rise.
“We have to defeat hundreds of these things right?” Jack asks.
Everyone nods.
“Leave it to me then.” Jack says.
24 MINUTES LATER,
“That does a hundred golems.” Jack says as he wipes the sweat off of his face.
A door opens up for the five students of Dan.
“Let’s go.” Izumi says.
Everyone walks out unscathed.
“That’s the third team to make it out of the Golem’s Hunt Game without any scratches on them.” The announcer says.
“The third?” Izumi seems to be confused.
She looks to her side and finds that her fellow students have already made it out before they did. All 15 of them are not hurt by even a bit.
“Izumi...” Elena holds Izumi by the sleeves of the academies dress that she is wearing.
“I know...They all are emitting quite an aura. All of them...They seems to be something wrong with them.” Izumi says.

Luke is looking towards the other team, “Hmm? What’s the matter, Luke?” Jack asks Luke.
“I am looking at my brother’s team...Class of 3-B from our academy, the seniors.” Luke says.
“I see...Aren’t those, Miss Flesty’s class students?” Jack asks.
Luke nods.
Suddenly, another door opens with another class coming out unscathed, “That’s one more class on the board we have who have defeated the 100 Golems and made their way out. They are from the famous Glowing Academy, Class 2-A of the Glowing Academy.” The announcer says.
*Tap* *Tap* *Tap*
Kaileen slowly walks towards Izumi and stands in front of her.
“Princess Kaileen...” Horrell stands beside Izumi as she speaks up. Elena hides behind Izumi.
“You know, you should hide that killing intent of yours. Some people don’t like it over here.” Izumi says.
“Why did you join, Dan ThunderField’s side Izumi?” Kaileen asks Izumi.
“I think we both know why I joined him.” Izumi says.
Luke and Jack join in.
“What’s with you girls out here? You up for a fight or something?” Jack asks.
“Yeah...Plus Princess is actually leaving out a lot of bad aura. I really don’t feel comfortable with that...” Luke says.
“Let me speak to her both of you. Plus, I don’t intend to fight her until our versus tournament” Izumi says.
“You know he’s really upset with all of you.” Kaileen says.
“What?” Izumi asks.
“He’s really upset with all of you! He’s really upset with all of you!”
Kaileen begins to continuously to utter it, “He’s really upset with all of you! He’s really upset with all of you! He’s really upset with all of you! HE’S REALLY UPSET WITH ALL OF YOU!”
“KAILEEN!”
Tarand calls for Kaileen.
Kaileen looks back at the students and Tarand, “I am sorry...Sir Tarand.” Kaileen says.
“Come back here.” Tarand says with a smile.
Tarand smirks, “It seems that you kids have had a look into what you will be facing off against.” Tarand says to the five standing and sweating in front of Kaileen.
The kids of Dan stand speechless from the fear of The Little Princess's menacing aura.

STEM: The Topical Dungeon
Inspired by CORE: The Volcanic Dungeon by Ace Arriande and a spiritual successor to my writing prompt series Evolution Barricade, STEM is a series following the reincarnation of Kaden into the fantasy world of Brogdar. Reborn as a "DM" and a plant, Kaden tackles the challenges of being the agent of the chaotic god: trying to be his very own dungeon master. However, unlike other stories, Kaden is often making fun of and dealing with disadvantages that the normal reincarnated hero would never have to worry about. A parody of the normal tropes of isekai, STEM is a periodic series that is intended to release a minimum of once per week. There may be times where there is more than one drop, but those would be special occasions. Additionally, the content tags are simply to try and ensure my readers know these stories can encompass a large variety of things. They may not immediately be in focus, but they will all end up appearing!

The Designated: Out of Control
It happened quicker than anyone would have imagined. Multiple hurricanes were one thing. People had dealt with that in the past. But, like kids playing dominoes, one thing crashed into another. Areas affected by hurricanes needed resources all along the Gulf and East Coasts drew rescuers and resources away from other parts of the country. When wildfires lit up the Pacific coast and mid-west, those areas were already understaffed. Driven by hurricanes in the Pacific basin, uncontrolled wildfires burned through towns, destroying everything in their paths. Across the Pacific, Asia didn't escape. From the Philippines, across China, into Indochina, and Bangladesh and India. Typhoons and cyclones pounded the coasts and far inland. Widespread flooding forced millions from their homes and across international borders. Mexico was hit hard and thousands died in mudslides as Katia slammed into their East Coast. The refugees fled north and west. Rumours started that hundreds of thousands were headed for the US border. Instead of running out of steam in the southern US, several hurricanes tore up the eastern seaboard, devastating cities and renewing their strength before veering east across the Atlantic. Maria and Ophelia veered east and slammed into Europe, reaching as far as the Netherlands and Russia before finally dissipating. After that, too many weather stations were offline to provide any form of co-ordinated information or warnings. Wildfires in Portugal burned ahead of the storms, fanned by hurricane winds. They sparked wildfires leapfrogging across Europe, beyond any one country's ability to cope. Already uneasy from multiple terrorist attacks over the summer, anti-refugee groups seized the opportunity to stage protests across Europe. Some turned violent as they clashed with police forces. Several governments declared martial law to quell the rioting and enforce evacuations along the path of the storms. Rumour and speculation overwhelmed facts. Unrest spilled over into widespread violence. Then sickness broke out in the displaced populations. Within a matter of a dozen weeks, tens of millions died. In the coming winter months hundreds more would follow. The Designated Project was activated.
