《The Class Of Dan ThunderField》61-Little Meeting

I am looking at the news and I don’t like it a bit...The King’s Academy’s three freshmen were immediately bought to our infirmary. Doc James had to treat them but that isn’t the worst part, the worst part is that the three participants had long term injuries.
I realized late that our match is starting up. I need to run to attend that match. I believe that I wasted a lot of time staring at the television and also those three students arriving in the infirmary all injured.
Tsch! They really were in a bad shape. I can’t believe that they could have done that.
What happened in the past month? Why has everyone turned out like that? I mean intimidating each other to a point is alright but injuring people? Seriously? What is this Tarand guy teaching my students?! I won’t go easy on Tarand, no matter what but first...I need to make it to this round.
“Sir Dan?” It looks like Sven to me.
I stop next to him near the coffee machine. He seems to be drinking some coffee. He removes his glasses and keeps it to the side.
“Yo, how have you been Sven?” I ask.
“I thought you had around to attend to. Why are you waiting here?” Sven asks me.
I sigh, “I have nothing to worry about. Whoever fights in the next round, they will win it no problem.” I say.
“What makes you say that? Didn’t Luke get trashed?” Sven looks at me doubting my words and also having that sharp look which says, “It’s useless.”
“Luke is a technical mage, against a brute like Rook, he had very little chance yet he kept up with it and that only surprised me buy when it comes to our other mages, they aren’t technical like brute they are totally crazed fighters depending on pure strength and nothing else.” I say with a smirk.

“Hmm?”
“I gotta go because I will be seeing you as well as Tarand in the final. You better keep your bow and arrow ready because I won’t be holding back just because you are my students.” I say as I run past Sven.

Sven scratches the top of his nose, “What an annoying teacher...” Sven smiles, “I guess that’s why I missed that idiot when he wasn’t here...Hope you win this tournament, Sir Dan because I liked it when I was taught by you.” Sven says with a disappointed face.

“Alright time to make it there in time.” I say as I look towards the wide-open tournament ring. I see that Flesty has entered the ring.
I jump from the top of the stadium row and pop in the middle of the ring.
“Sir Dan?!”
Everyone seems to be confused.
“So who won the previous round?” I ask.
“Me! Me!” Elena raises her hand with a smile.
“I guess I will do the same then.” I smirk.

I will post a chapter and edit later so apologies for small errors. Gets the chapter up quicker. This novel is a futuristic VMMORP with a twist, set in a dystopian Australian future in 3040. The main character is Braizo Nakamura, a 17 year old Japanese / Aboriginal Australian teenager who is confined in solitary confinement for life years in one Australia's toughest adult prisons. The worlds first murderer for 100 years, Braizo is crippled by an abnormality in his brain which prevents him using any neural implants or tech. Locked away since he was 14 for a revenge killing, without contact with another human being, Braizo has no idea of the change that swept the world only months after his incarceration. It was in 2077 that the great spaceship of the Warden appeared over the skies of earth and revealed a shocking truth, not only were human beings not alone in the universe, but their countless humans spread across millions of galaxies. The branch of humanity on earth was merely part of an old, thought to be extinct bloodline. The Warden had sought to use this bloodline for his own purposes as part of the Great Game, a fully immersive virtual reality world that was created by an unknown entity billions of years in the past. The Great Game was now populated by players from millions of different civilisations across countless galaxies. Braizo is forced into the Great Game by an old enemy in an attempt to kill him, but instead of dying Braizo receives a special ability that is both a curse and a blessing. So begins his adventures in the Great Game.

The Black Lord's Promise
It is said that the path to hell is paved with good intentions. Perhaps this does not matter if the world itself is corrupt. Change, then, is to be feared only by those who are themselves corrupt. The first chapter is an extended prologue that sets the scene of a riparian frontier of an alternate world, somewhere between medieval and the pre-industrial age, during an era of turmoil and possibility. A mysterious man is summoned to bring forth a new kingdom, but does he bring hope or calamity?
