《Magic Online》Chapter 2 - Body Building

'Bored.'
'I'm bored.'
'Soooo bored.'
'Why the heck can't dungeons sleep?'
I can't tell if no one entered me because of the commotion, because it's night, or if there was some sort of guard posted outside of me. Either way, I spent my first 3 hours of alone time looking over my dungeon before having nothing to do and no way to pass the time. If I had more mana I could've done some modifications to myself, maybe even one that allowed artificial sleep. But having just woken up, I was very low on mana and wanted to save it for my dungeon lord body.
'Ugh, how much longer?'
'...hmm? What's this? A visitor?'
No idea why, but she's wearing a hooded cloak. Hmm?
'Hey! No fair.'
The hooded figure walked through my dungeon while freezing my skeletons where they stood. Not even bothering to look up.
'Well, at least that cured my boredom.'
Watching the visitor closely, she continues to stroll through my first floor until she reaches my last room. When she reaches the middle of my first floor's last room, she stops and kneels.
[cloaked female] Removes hood. "Oh noble dungeon, I ask that you hear my plea." Short pause. "I have with me a mana stone that has over a million mana stored within. If you are listening and are willing to negotiate, it could be your's. Please show me an indication that you're listening and we can start the negotiations."
'Did she say over a million? That's enough for me to get a dungeon lord body. Heck yeah we're going to negotiate.'
'...But why does she look familiar?'
She's wearing a black cloak that hides all of her body but does nothing to hide her figure. That means the familiarity is because of her face. Hmm, she looks beautiful but why does she have...

'Oh! Well... if I'm meeting the queen better to act formal.'
Grabbing control of one of my skeletons behind the bars, I have him jump the bar and head towards the queen. Once in front of the queen I have him kneel like her then bow from the waist. To my enjoyment, this action seems to startle the queen.
[queen] "Ahem, I had heard that there was unusual behavior occurring in this dungeon and assumed that you had just awoken. So why do you bow to me?"
I have my skeleton gently grab some of her hair. She flinches away at first then calms down after gathering her courage.
[queen] "Hmm? Ah." She seems to get it so my skeleton let's go. "I was informed that my son was the one to encounter the abnormalities. But surly our hair color isn't unusual enough to form a connection."
Well, I guess after a couple centuries blue hair became a normal color for people to have. Both the queen and her son have the same navy blue hair. The prince's was buzzed cut, military style. The queen's on the other hand flows down just below her shoulder.
'Don't blame me for missing the connection right away. I'm still groggy from waking up and being bored. Also, I've never been good at placing faces.'
[queen] "Allow me to formally introduce myself. My name is Sara and I am the queen of Gatewood. I have come to you in hope that you may contain forgotten knowledge that may aid me." Takes a deep breath before continuing. "Three weeks ago, I was confirmed to have an illness that none of our healers can cure. Should you choose to help me, I am willing to give you this." Places the promised mana stone on the ground.

"You may think it stupid of me to offer this without any assurance that you have a cure. But I'm short on time and believe you to be my best... No. My only option for a cure."
'Crud. Now I'll feel bad if I take it but don't have a cure.'
Using a little of the mana I've been able to gather, I use paper magic to create a small slip of paper in the skeleton's hand and ink magic to write a reply. The skeleton then hands it over to the queen I mean Sara.
[] Before I decide to agree, can you tell me anything about this illness?
[Sara] "The healers have called my sickness cancer. Normally, the healers would simply cut out the infected area and cast a healing on the removed area. But my illness is located at my heart. Our healers don't know any method of healing that can guarantee my life."
'Cancer? Did she say cancer? Hahahaha!'
Because of my laughter, it seems that my dungeon has started to shake a bit.
[Sara] "I-I ap-apologize if I have said anything to anger you." Bows head to the ground.
Ignoring her apology, I have my skeleton hold out his hand.
With tears in her eyes and a trembling hand, she picks up and hands over the mana stone.
'Seems she thinks I don't know how to cure her and has given up on her last hope. Better fix that.'
Absorbing the mana in the stone, I immediately create my dungeon lord body.
'What's that? How can I create one so fast? Well of course it's because I had already designed my body. With all the time I spent being bored, I had plenty of time to design one. I just didn't have the mana to create it. UNTIL NOW! BWAHAHA. *cough cough* Sorry, I'm just really excited. I didn't expect to get a body again this soon.'
Using the mana, I create my body behind the skeleton I have kneeling.
'I'll talk about why I created my body this way later. For now just know that I created a hummingbird beastman with orange and black feathers. With my current form being more human, the only feathers that appeared were the ones that replaced my hair.'
[] Appearing in a flash of light. "Hello world! It's great to be back." Taps skeleton on the head skull. "You can go back now."
My skeleton gets up and heads back to his position behind the bar.
[] Sits down where the skeleton was. "Ahhh. Thanks for the body. Now to your problem, please give me your hand."
[Sara] "Wa? But wasn't that- I mean- You aren't angry?"
[] "Nonsense. I just found it amusing that you were fretting over such a small problem."
[Sara] Eyes widen. "Small probl-"
I cut her off by reaching over and taping her shoulder and applying my magic.
[] "Aaaand cured."
[Sara] "..." Doesn't say anything and can only stare at me dumbfounded with her mouth hanging open.
[] "If you don't believe me have your healer check it out. Afterwards I'd like to meet again to discuss what's happened in the world while I slept."
[Sara] Nods with her mouth still open. Gets up and walks out without saying a word.
Some of my skeletons have unfrozen, but I make sure they don't attack her.
[] "...Welp! Time to wake the others up."

The Calculator - Supervillainess Time Loop
What makes a terrifying villain? Is it ruthlessness? Is it how powerful they are and how many buildings they can down in one blow? Is it how hard they are to kill, contain, or get rid of in any manner? Is it their knowledge of a hero’s true identity in a world where secrets must be kept? Or is it perhaps how they seem to be perfect in all their actions, defeating the hero at every step of the way throughout to the last one, only to humiliate them one last time before declaring themselves the winner in the grand scheme of things? Isabella Blair is perfect. She knows all your moves before you even make them. All your ambushes are faced with traps and she dodges all your blows like it’s child’s play. Catching her is impossible because she’s always ten steps ahead of you. She says she calculated everything, but she messes up in every fight. She loses far more than she wins, sometimes a hundred times for just one small victory. Yet, she is perfect. How is that possible, you may ask. That’s because she has the uncanny ability to return to the past whenever she makes a mistake. All that’s left in the end can only be what’s perfect if all the realities in which you’ve lost are gone, after all. And that makes for one hell of a terrifying profile. Crossposting on ScribbleHub, SpaceBattles, and Wattpad. Don't mind the "Pre-Rewrite" Volume. It is there for reference until the story catches up to the chapter count via the Rewrite (and to justify the current reviews as there would be no context to them otherwise).
