'looks like these creatures adventure alone in the wild, even thou they live in gropes , it seems that they might not like hunting for resources and food in packs, since all the lizards that came out or returned to the caves so far where always alone'

this time since dan was aware that the lizard will sense an attack from a few meters next to them, dan had another plan to reduce the time spent on fighting.

the shadow lizard without any idea that it was someones target , proceeded to clime up the hill towards the exit of the ravine without a clue, but still vigilance could be seen in its eyes, only to meet its death before exiting the ravine

dan picked a twenty kilogram rock with one hand ,the size of his own torso, than he jumped from high up towards his target , he aimed the rock with his free hand and trough it to the left side of the lizard, alerting it to dodge sideways, but by the time it noticed dan's presence it was too late to dodge, and was stabbed right in the brain from the top of its head, the spear-head appearing from the other side under its throat, splitting blood everywhere

'damn , hope the smell of their kin's blood wont reach the other shadow lizards, i mean its pretty far from the caves'

after the kill, dan proceeded with acquiring the shadow lizard mid stage monster core , after he dragged the four meter long shadow lizard away from the ravine entrance so it wont attract other wildlife.

'haa, this is great , although the speed isn't fast , these shadow lizard mid-stage monster cores are better to acquire than the ones form the emerald leaf snakes or emerald antler elk.'

'to increase the speed of acquiring monster cores will require of me to go and hunt pack animals that are in the hundreds per small group, significantly increasing the amount of mid-stage monster cores acquired'

the [five horned bison] or [Green furred wolves] are just two of the of the few mid stage monsters that dan could follow them from the waterfall back to their packs.

'but obviously , acquiring a skill or two now is better for the long run, and my hunting speed will increase even more'

waiting atop the cliff for the nth time for his next target, dan precedes with the same strategy of, misdirecting and confusing his opponent so that he can get a fast and clean kill.

by now two hour's and forty minutes have passed, dan has managed to hunt a total of 29 shadow lizards.

while dan was in thought after checking his stats, another target has appeared in his sights.

following the same attack pattern with the spear pointed at the same spot for the nth time, after distracting the shadow lizard with the rock he ends up surprised.

the shadow lizard, instantly has its speed increase to about three times after dodging the rock and sensing the attacker , and dan could see some dark like tendrils under the limbs of the shadow lizard.

'wow , does this guy have shadow movement skill , that is something nice , but looks like it will be annoying. '

all this took dan one second to process , and since he was still mid air, he used the spear to stop his foll to the ground. helping him to land on his feet, where he is met by the retaliation of the shadow lizard, which swipes with its tail towards its dan.

jumping over the tail, dan takes advantage of the blind-spot from the back and attacks the nervous system that controls the tail, making it dysfunctional and unusable as a weapon.

the shadow lizard, releasing a pained filled cry sprints forward, to get away from dan, and than turns around, looking strait at dan's brown colored sharp and filled with killing intent sending a chill down the shadow lizard's spine.

with a cry the shadow lizard releases its shadow movement skill for a second time and sprints full force towards the enemy that has angered it beyond reason, after all who would get angry when they got attacked on a stroll , and lost the function of their tail.

seeing the reckless charge of the shadow lizards, dan reveals a grin on his face, and stood in the same position, seeing the razor sharp teeth of the lizard get close enough to tear him apart, dan unleashes his swift movement technique, moving like a boneless and flexible vine with the airflow to the side of the shadow lizard, dodging the sharp and terrifying bite of the shadow lizard, leading to stabbing his emerald antler spear in the lizards throat leaving it stuck there.

with a roar filled with pain , the lizard loses its focus from dan and proceeds to trash around trying to remove the spear

'well , isn't this guy stupid, giving its back to me and trying to remove the spear,'

jumping on a branch dan proceeds to push himself of that branch with full force towards the head of the lizard from the back, and stabs it in the brain with his other spare spear.

'well that was a good warm-up'

'the shadow movement skill it used seemed to give it quite a boost in speed, i wonder how good it will be when i use it, hehe, felling goosebumps already.'

after three more hours of hunting and killing a total of 31 shadow lizards, dan was still left with the last skill to acquire, but he still had not manage to acquire the last two fragment.

continuing to observe the ravine for his next target , dan is left speechless after a few minutes, from about three caves, about sixteen shadow lizards exit, looking around the place and some of the sniffing the the area .

looking at their behavior , dan figured that hey might have come looking for the shadow lizards that came out to hunt and haven't returned.

it has already been more than four hours since a few lizards cam out and none have returned in a long time, the shadow lizards that where in the cave became worry so they are out looking for them

'looks like i might have hunted too many already, since these are monsters that drop skill fragments than they shouldn't be many in numbers, better to leave and let them proliferate , ill come to farm here a few times before i go to explore their nest.'

with that thought in mind , dan makes a turn and heads towards the water-fall to search for his next target.
