《The Legend Of The Insanely Overpowered Mage》Chapter 30: Neospell

"Hey, are you going to change your underwear and pants?" Denka asked when Tenur reached for the door knob. His hand stopped moving, hesitating a little, before finishing what it started.
"A little expelled matter is nothing," Tenur said casually as he walked towards the bathroom. His entire family shared a single bathroom, thus explaining why there was only one in his home. "And I'm going to take a bathe first before changing." He proceeded to bathe.
After bathing, he suddenly remembered he forgot to bring in a towel and a set of new clothes as well, eliciting a lazy groan. He then shrugged and walked back to his bedroom, before coming face to face with Laura naked.
"Holy sh-" Laura wasn't able to finish when Tenur rushed back into his room and slammed the door shut, rocking the wooden beams supporting his home.
"Whoa, calm down. You trying to collapse your own home?" Denka said. "And you're... naked? Why're you naked? Where's your clothes? And was that my daughter?"
"Shut up," Tenur quickly went to search for a pair of clothing that wasn't dirtied or stained. He couldn't find any even though there was literally stainless and spotless clothes lying around everywhere.
"Oh~ I see now," Denka whispered confidently, causing Tenur to stop his hunt for clean clothes and look at the book. "You've gotta take responsibility for dirtying her mind, 'ya know?"
"No!" Tenur replied loudly, almost immediately. He resumed his search for clean clothing once more.
"Ok ok, you're just shy~" Denka teased him, earning himself a glare. "Anyway, why not just grab the clothes lying around and be done with?"
For a moment, Tenur looked dumbfounded and his hands stopped what they were doing as he asked himself why didn't he think of it sooner. A split second after that, the reason came back to him as his hands began clawing through his clothes cabinet. "That's because..." He hesitated, not sure whether the reason was valid at all, or if it was even plausible.
"Because?"
"These clothes ... Sarah ... good..." he muttered reluctantly under his breath, his face flushing a little.

"What!?" Denka yelled at him, jolting Tenur out of his cowardly act.
"These clothes have Sarah's good scent on them!" He yelled back at Denka, stunning the latter. There was silence as what Tenur just yelled out was processed.
"What...?" Denka sounded confused.
"Nothing, forget 'bout what I said and just know I can't wear these," He used his left foot to point at one of the clothes as his eyes began searching his drawers.
"No no, clearly you have some psychologically detrimental issues."
"Psy-what what issues?"
"Psychologically detrimental issues," when there was no reply other than a confused grunt from Tenur, Denka sighed. "Basically, what you do is weird."
"Ah, I'm not weird, ok?" Tenur stopped what he was doing and pointed at Denka.
"Sure sure, tell me you didn't sniff someone's, presumably a girl's, leftover scent through your clothing after giving me such a reason," Denka said as he ignored Tenur's complex expression. "Through my deduction, the girl's definitely a close friend of yours, isn't she?" a devious grin sprouted within one of Denka's pages, slowly twisting and turning into runic characters and words.
"Well, I'm not a weirdo," Tenur thought about it for a moment before asking. "Hey, is sniffing your crush's scent as you masturbate considered a weird thing?"
"That's basically what a weirdo would do," The newly formed runic characters began curving more prominently, forming more complex looking characters. It gave off a glow, though soft enough to be obscured by the sunlight shining into the room.
"Ah, I definitely didn't do that then," Tenur raised both his hands with his palms facing outwards. If Denka had eyes, he would've been squinting at Tenur for telling such an obvious lie. "I swear!" Tenur yelled.
"Disgusting," Denka snorted as he noticed the newly written rune formula in one of his pages. "Hey Ten, look at this. I've got something new created," Denka opened himself and flipped to the page containing the currently-still-forming formula.
"Wait, you're not still disgusted over me fapping to the scent of the-girl-who-I-like-whose-name-is-Sarah?"

"No, I'm already over that. You think I'm someone who hangs on to something like that?" Denka asked rhetorically. "Besides, there's something more interesting, like what's written inside of me."
"It's weird and disgusting when you say it like that, unless you're a book, which in our case, you are," Tenur walked over to Denka, taking a closer look on the almost completed formula. "Now that I'm looking at it, they're actually glowing."
"Of course they are, you think words suddenly appear on a book with a 'poof'? No! It has to be created by mana in the case of a grimoire," hints of annoyance coloured his tone. "We'll leave that for another time. For now, what kind of spell is it? It feels kinda weird."
"I'm not sure, maybe we should wait for the formula to finish morphing before trying to make sense of it?"
"Good idea," the two of them waited for around five minutes. The glow disappeared after that, leaving behind some runes and readable characters.
"Huh, just like the last spells," Tenur started reading it aloud, "Name of spell is Charisma Enhancer. The source of creation is surprisingly the Goddess of Fertility, and theres a piece of note written too. It says 'something to help considering you're so bad at communicating'... Hey, how am I bad at interacting?"
"No idea, but focus."
"Alright alright. It says here that, 'To cast the spell, any understandable speech can be spoken to another of the opposite sex as long as it contains the meaning of "let's bang"...?" Tenur furrowed his eyebrows whilte Denka gave off a confused sound.
"You know what? This shit's basically useless and weird," Tenur crossed his arms after musing it for a while.
"True, but it's a gift from the goddess. It must at least have some value, right?" Denka tried to rationalise the whole thing. "What's the effect? Though I can already guess from the name..."
"'Increases the desire of the target to reproduce with the caster'... Shit, the goddess' clearly going bananas."
"Clearly that's something the name can hold as well... Is there actually any reason for this spell to be casted?" To Denka, the spell didn't make sense at all. Increasing the desire to reproduce with the caster? He thought. That's basically what a perverted mage would want!
"I feel like there's more I need to verify with the goddess..." Tenur said finally.
"Yeah, me too," Denka voiced his agreement as he thought of the various questions he would ask the goddess. "We'll have to find the Oracle of Sperm if we want to speak with her."
"You know any?"
"Nope, but I do have a clue of who will."
Tenur's eyes lit up as he caught onto who Denka was refering to. "Ah, I bet you're refering to merchants, aren't you? They do travel around cities and villages a lot, so they must have a lot of information that we can buy," Being unable to find clean clothes, Tenur reluctantly wore the clothes he had wore a few months ago, where he had come into contact with Sarah and allowed her scent to soak in.
"Looks like that brain of yours isn't as useless and strange as I thought," Denka chuckled.
"Shut your trap or I'll force you," Tenur wore a smirk when his threat worked. Yet his joy didn't last very long.
"That doesn't work on me. After all, I have no mouth!" Denka laughed haughtily before stopping suddenly. "But do you have the money to afford the position of the oracle? I know the harder someone or something is to be found, the higher the price for its info..."
"Don't worry, I've got a plan after all," Tenur said as he brought Denka with him, walking out of his bedroom and towards the master bedroom. Laura was gone already.
"Suit yourself," Denka made a shrugging sound and decided to see Tenur's plan in action.

Aside from my own personal problems with depression, there were many, many things I came to dislike about the way it was progressing. With the low quality of the earlier chapters, it was in dire need of at least an editing run. Instead of just editing the subpar chapters, I decided to just do it over again and change what I did not like. Please also note that I am not a native English speaker and thus might make mistakes. I have tried hard to find and correct most, but I am certainly not perfect. If you notice anything that is wrong just leave a comment below the chapter and I will try to get to it.
