Chapter 4
"Help!"... I gaze over.. Jack crashes to the floor. A menacing figure towers over him…"Are you alright!?" someone cries… "I am quite alright Fang"… Fang looks relieved… "Phew that was a close one Jack… If you should have fallen off the stretcher like that again you could have received a very serious concussion. Not the most pleasant thing let me tell you" Fang seems to reminisce to himself…
Jack nods eagerly… "I appreciate your advice Fang" Jack then proceeds to scribble in a notebook he got from who knows where. I don't recall ever seeing Jack carrying that around before. The notebook is extremely thick, and looking at it some more I decide it would make a superb shield… however the book looks quite ominous.. the occasional eerie echo of laughter seems to be heard… "…" I decide its best to have another one of those you-know-talks with Jack…
As Jack continues to scribble, "Stop Master from falling out of his stretcher in the near future…" you hear Jack mutter to himself… I look on wordlessly… then something peculiar catches my attention.. then like a bolt of lightning I come to a realization.. "Has Jack finally stopped stuttering?"… I ponder for awhile… but then recalling I have more pressing issues at hand.
I gaze back at the bowl in my hand. Porridge… gluggy… and watery... I slowly swirl my spoon around…" my stomach grumbles… carefully taking a scoop I slowly raise it to my mouth… someone nudges me… "…..!!", I gaze at the porridge now on my pants…a gloomy aura can be felt… as I am about to erupt in rage.. calmness washes over me… "sigh" +1 Willpower. "Mast..er, I a..m veryy.. Sor..ry.." Jack stutters… "…" +2 Willpower.
To be Continued.
