‘Apocalypse.’

The game that came with a bang in the gaming industry that left many shocked with its realistic graphics, smooth experience and its setting was said to be one of the easiest and friendliest for anyone.

The game starts with tutorial, as it always is with any game. But the thing that differs from other games is the way it teaches about the game mechanics as well as the many opportunities it provides.

But the thing that makes the tutorial zone special was the secret it contains.

At one time, because of the continuous criticism against the game’s name, the game developers one day held a press conference and revealed that the tutorial zone of the game holds a secret, a secret that can be compared to the most powerful cheat but even they do not know its location.

Many searched for this ‘cheat’, but everyone failed and so marked the end of the conquest of this cheat. Many said that the game developers bluffed, wanting to distract the new player from playing. And so time passed.

And one day, a man found that secret.

A level 50 lancer, who came to tutorial zone in his free time for his research.

“Well… let’s go to the library.”

In Apocalypse, there are a countless number of books, storing information about the real world as well as the game world, but most of them are not accessible.

It depends on the ownership and the permission or some other requirements to access them.

But there is only one library that any player can access freely.

A library located in the tutorial zone, on the corner side of the town. Many new players never knew about it, or they simply ignore it. But some took interest, most being book nerds or researchers.

But this lancer found something so powerful in a book, one which could have earned him millions if he could have sold what he found.

But he refrained from doing so as what he found seems simple, but for a veteran like him, he understood the difficulties and the loss this secret holds.

“Who would have thought that the first book recommended by an NPC would contain something this big?”

The librarian often recommends the same book to everyone, but only some read it. But eventually leave it not reading it completely.

As for the reason why they never complete, it was the book itself.

The book titled ‘Grandia’ was based on the history, the legends, the countries, species and various other things about the world ‘Grandia’.

Many were not interested in the history, and many found about the information regarding anything about the game on the internet.

But this lancer took the book seriously, as he sought to know everything early about the game.

And one day, he found the secret in the 3rd volume of the book.

“Grandia, in future, will face a crisis, a calamity, a force so overwhelming that no king, hero, demon, dragon or the god could stand tall against.”

“Born with the darkest truths of the world, the calamity will bring destruction to the world, where even the Supremes would fall.”

“But when everything will seem useless, Grandia itself will come forward to protect itself and his children.”

These lines are what inspired this lancer to further investigate, and after a countless number of researches, he came to one conclusion.

“There is a weapon, the most powerful in the game to ever exist. The only one who might know about it should be the Supreme Goddess.”

He left the library with good mood and looked towards the sunset. It took him a whole day in the game to complete his research, but he somehow successfully found a hidden piece.

“Well, I guess this information will be valuable.”

And so the man left.

Knowing a secret that was never meant to be discovered.

“Do it. NOW!!”

The spear master yelled at the Supreme Goddess.

The Supreme Goddess, witnessing the confidence and bravery of the Spear Master, gave up on her plan and agreed with his request.

After that, the goddess appeared behind the spear master, pressing her hands behind his back and chanted something.

Soon after, a ray of light engulfed both of them.

As the Spear Master was engulfed in the light, he then heard the Goddess.

“Oh, mighty hero!! You, who sacrificed yourself for this world, shall witness the end.”

“…!!”

The Spear Master, who heard the goddess whisper, tried to look back to her, but was stopped by the voice of the NPC.

“Do you think that I will just stand here? You have a nerve trying to talk in my presence.”

The unknown NPC then move towards the goddess and spear master, but was stopped by the remaining players and the Supreme Beings.

“We will not allow you to interfere!!”

“Stop! You still have a chance. Surrender yourself!!”

The Supremes and the Rankers stood bravely, side by side, protecting the Spear Master and the Goddess.

If one were to see this scene, they would be thrilled as, for the first time, the Supremes and the players have worked together, but

“SHUT UP!”

“Mhhm…”

But their bravery lasted for mere moments, as the sheer force and terrific power forced their legs in the same spot, trembling terrifically.

The NPC then roamed around them, while also looking towards the Spear Master and the Goddess.

“Worry not. I will not interfere as I also want to see what kind of thing that bitch pulls from her ass.”

These casual words sent a shiver down to spine of everyone. The way he said signifies the strength and force of this monster, as he single-handedly destroyed the allied army, killed the Gods and pulled the Supreme Beings from their domain.

As they heard the words of the NPC, they slowly realized.

A calamity never seen in the game before, standing high above the law of the game, is now waiting for a match, an equal rivalry of his sheer raw power.

‘Maybe now I can test this ridiculous power.’

And so he proceeds to march forward, but stopped and again looked towards the remaining ones.

“Before that, shall we remove the pests!!?”
