《The Death Simulation》Wedding Preparations

The next day had come, it’s been a day since I’ve proposed to Hailey. Yesterday when I proposed to her, I didn’t even have the faintest idea of what I was planning for a wedding. This morning when I woke up, Hailey was already up to cook breakfast. I walked into the kitchen, and patted Hailey on her back. She looked at me, and I asked: “Hey so… What kind of wedding do you want? I don’t really watch a lot of those romance shows.” She replied while laughing: “Aw, Jason you’re so oblivious.” I sighed: “I know…” She saw that I was quite stressed out for it so she said calmly: “Don’t worry, I’ll make a list of what we need… At least of what I think we need.” I laughed and she said: “It’s not like I’ve been married before!” She lightly blushed after saying that. I smiled, today was definite to be a good day for us.
The time we spent cooking breakfast for everyone else was over fast, as the rest of the crew began pouring into our room waiting for breakfast. Breakfast was served, a normal breakfast. While we were eating our english breakfast, Jingxi spoke up: “So uh Jason, what were you two doing last night?” I replied: “What do you mean?” Jingxi laughed sarcastically and said: “What noises was I hearing from your room?” At that moment both me and Hailey knew what he was talking about and I quickly said: “It’s not like that…” Luke spoke up against me: “Yeah right, we all know you two had sex last night.” We both blushed as Peaches said in a friendly voice: “So how was it like? From the words you said last night, it seems like you both had a good time…” Hailey spoke up while stuttering: “It… Was… fun…” Leo dived into the conversation as he said in a loud voice: “So when are you doing it again?” Hailey and I blushed like a tomato while saying in the same time: “It’s not like that… We’re not like that…” Everyone laughed as me and Hailey was being backed into a corner. For once in a life time, Terry spoke up in this conversation: “Just leave them alone, anyway… Are you guys going for your Honeymoon? Have fun!” Hailey nodded as she said: “Jeez, finally someone who’s nice.” We all laughed as she continued on: “Yeah, we’re heading on to the 5th island. That first town there, with crystal blue waters and golden sand beaches. We’re buying a cabin there today after we finish our wedding preparations.” Luke changed tones from a teasing tone to a friendly one: “You two have fun alright, put your trust in me. I’ll make sure we all get the 10th dungeon without dying. Have your fun in your honeymoon.” Peaches nodded as she added in: “Have fun there, also could I be your bridesmaid? And could Luke be Jason’s best man? We’d be both happy to be there for you two!” Luke nodded, laughed and said: “Yeah, and don’t worry I won’t steal Hailey.” Jingxi went into the conversation as he said: “Me, Terry and Leo’s gonna be groomsmen. Right Jason?” I replied: “Yeah, yeah I’ll make sure you guys get a spotlight in the wedding.” Luke said: “Well then thanks buddy, anyway we gotta go now and see the new island which we just unlocked.” Jingxi said: “You gotta go see it and I gotta carry you, cause’ I’m max level.” Luke snorted and replied: “That’s only because you got lucky, if not you wouldn’t be max level, anyway we’re off. See ya.” After that they left the inn.

After we cleaned up our room, me and Hailey went out to the teleporter to teleport to the first town. In the first town, we went up to the billboard nearby the teleporter. It was universally known as the “notice board”. You had to pay 30,000 coins to get a slot there. For many normal players, that would be an expensive fee. But for higher levelled players like me and Hailey who held millions of coins in our savings. I bought a slot and put on the announcement: “Everyones invited! Jason and Hailey’s marriage. In Clearer’s square. Free food, free everything. Takes place tomorrow!” After we put our notice on, we went into the teleporter as I looked in the list for the 1st town in the 5th island. The name of that town was “QingShuiShi”. After finding the town’s name, I spoke up and said: “Hailey, the towns name is QingShuiShi.” She replied: “Ok, let’s go then.” I nodded, as we went up into the teleporter and shouted: “Teleport! QingShuiShi” After we arrived Hailey looked around as she smiled and said: “Wow! It’s so beautiful around here! I can’t wait to buy a house here and spend my time with you here.” I nodded as I said: “Yeah, we’re going to have a great time here. Just you and me.”
As we travelled around the safe zone in the golden beach, I saw several people there fishing. They were no NPCs, I could tell by their height and age that they were players like us. Players were living normal lives here, leaving their hopes of ever escaping alive to us clearers. Both me and Hailey didn’t make noises, as we didn’t want to attract attention. We were only here to buy our house after all. In the forest behind the golden beach, which was the edge of the safe zone, expensive, but unowned two story log cabin, with all the furniture you’ll ever need inside already. I asked Hailey: “Those seem nice, should we buy them for our new home?” Hailey smiled as she said: “It looks pretty nice and comfy don’t you think Jason? It’s like one of those wooden cabins from the fairy tales.” I smiled and replied: “Yeah, I agree. It’s perfect for us both. Hailey I went over to the log cabin and looked at it. The here was two palm trees next to the cabin, in both left and right. I went over to the cabin, and went to the “For Sale” sign. I put my palm on it and it said: “Cost price: 2,000,000 Coins. Are you sure you want to buy this?” I looked at Hailey as she put her hand on mine and nodded. The cabin was automatically transferred to my ownership, as it said: Successful purchase! New owner: Jason” Hailey hugged me as she said: “Yay!” I put my arms around her as I said: “After tomorrow when we’re married, we can be together in our own little log cabin. At least until we fight the final boss. And once we get out, I promise we will be together.” She smiled as she replied: “Make sure you keep your promise!” I nodded.

After purchasing the cabin, we teleported back to the first town, Shinpong. Hailey took my hand as she began running towards every single clothing shop and asking me to try on different suits. I tried on different suits, but I myself never really had a good fashion sense… So I let her do the picking. After about 15 NPC shops, and more than a hundred suits, Hailey finally found the right one for me. I tried the black suit on, with a white shirt underneath and a white bowtie. I whined: “Every suit and bowtie is just about the same anyway.” Hailey replied: “Jeez, have a little patience. You said you wouldn’t mind.” I replied as I was changing in the changing room, while sighing: “Fine…” I came out dressed in black trousers, with a black suit, white shirt and a black bowtie. Hailey looked around my outfit as she said: “Perfect! This is the one perfect for you.”
After I changed out of it and bought it for the wedding, Hailey checked the time. It was 3pm, as she said: “Hurry, we still have lots of things to do before the day ends!” As we were running towards the shop for hiring NPCs, I asked her: “What about your bridal gown? Did you buy one yet?” She nodded as she said: “I’ve bought the Bridal gown, at the 8th shop while you were changing. Well… My mother always told me that it was bad luck for the bride to wear the bridal gown…” I sighed as I replied: “I’m sure you’ll look good in it anyway. You’ll look good in any clothing.” She lightly blushed as she said: “You don’t have to tease me like that…” I made a cross x shape with my hands as I replied: “But it’s true…” She sighed as she said: “I guess you won’t change anyway, but it’s kinda what I like about you so it’s ok…”
We went all across Shinpong to different NPCs as we hired chefs to cook which cooked okay food and NPC musicians which played any music track you wanted it to play as long as it wasn’t banned on the Chinese data base. After doing all of that we set the settings so that they would be automatically in the Clearer’s square by 11am when the wedding started. We also had to go around renting tables, kitchen ware and tables for the wedding. Not only that but, we also had to hire venue NPCs which helped us collect gifts that would transfer into our storage automatically after the hiring time was expired, or if we manually asked them to.
After the the whole wedding preparations, we returned to our room in the inn by 9pm. We ate an light dinner, and after that we went to bed. On the bed, I reviewed my storage of coins. Out of the 16.3 million coins I originally had, I now only had 12.2 million left. Hailey looked at my coin count tab too, as I saw that she was about to give me coins because of all that I spent for the wedding I said to her: “It’s alright, all of my coins are your coins. I will gladly give them up to you if you ask me to do so, I’m fine with spending the money I earned with the guild when we levelled up. It doesn’t matter, as long as you’re happy. I’m happy to give my life to you as long as you’re happy.” Hailey gave me a small kiss, and after the kiss she said: “You know I’d never do that to you… Because I love you.” I nodded as I said: “I know, and I do too.” Hailey replied: “Well, prove it tomorrow, when you put that ring on my hand.” I said: “You know I will. Anyway, let’s sleep. Tomorrow’s a big day for us both. And a happy one for sure.” She replied to me while smiling and lightly blushing: “After tomorrow we’ll be together forever, I’m looking forward to that…” I said: “Yeah, we’ll have all the time in the world to ourselves.” After that brief conversation, the natural force of [sleep] closed my eyes as I began to drift off to the darkness into my dreams.
