*Kelly's room*

*Kelly's pov

Kelly opened her eyes slowly, she thought she was hallucinating as she saw familiar person with a concerned look on his face.

"Jack! Why are you here?" Kelly suddenly sat up banging against the Jack's face. They both cringed from the sudden pain with one rubbing his chin and one rubbing her forehead. Kelly remembered that the day started of on a bad note with her father being fired and being the sole breadwinner of the family with no job meant bad news.

Kelly remembered that her father tried to get out of his bad mood by washing the car than suddenly a notification came and said 'change' was happening. Kelly suddenly heard her father shout followed by a crash sound. Kelly and her mother rushed out to see blood all over the place like a burst water balloon and a mangled body on the floor.

Hanging over the body was a giant pig headed man. His body was filled with muscle and his face looked hideously ugly. In his hand was a giant mallet with blood and gore on one of the mallets face.

"Run Kelly run!" Her mother screamed at her. Kelly started running towards her room on the second floor she saw something that looked like the body of her mother fly past her and land in the living room. She continued to run to her room and proceeded to lock the door.

When she thought she was safe, from behind her, a goblin had spawned in her room. The goblin upon seeing Kelly rushed at her. Kelly tried turning away but was slashed at her waist with a deep gash. After that was a blur and all she saw was.

Death priestess rage activated

After that she fainted on her bed as she bled. That's all she remembered. Upon remembering about what happened to her parents, she could not take it and a torrent of tears fell from her eyes. She leaned onto Jack and cried, yelling about the injustice that happened to her.

All she heard was "Its okay, from now on nothing would hurt you. I promise." She continued to weep on Jack's shirt.

*Jack pov*

Jack was a bit shocked at what happened. She just woke up stared at him for a while before starting to cry on his chest. Not knowing what to do. He unknowingly hugged her and comforted her.

Jack just let her cry for about 15 minutes before she stopped crying and just stayed in his embrace.

"Are you okay?" Jack asked with concern. He got a small nod from the teary-eyed girl. Jack could guess why she was crying from the ways her parents had died." Kelly, can you slowly tell me what happened here?". Kelly began to relate her side of the story of what happened to Jack. Upon hearing what happened, Jack was shocked.

Jack looked around the room and found a dried up husk of a goblin body that looked like all its blood had been drained out. He asked if he could look at her status and skills

"Anyway from now on what do you want to do?" Jack asked gently. Kelly only answered

"I will be in your care." Jack began to smile." Hm...Did you do something to me when i was unconscious? It seems you did something." Jacks smile began to turn stiff and cold sweat began to form on his back.

"Nothing..." Jack answered as he turned his face not willing to look at her face directly. Kelly suddenly grabbed his hand and asked "Jack,you know you can't lie to me. What. Did. You. Do. To. Me." Jack began to fidget and plan his escape route and yet the more he thought the more he felt that it was impossible.
