《Stardust Universe》Chapter 1.12 - White - Sam Maximus

For the record, I don’t really like anything that is not peaceful. I mean who doesn’t? Well, I didn’t really specify what I meant. What I do meant was that I would appreciate a lot if these people can keep the noisiness down. Even when I’m inside my own room with the doors locked, the noise at the living room was too much for me. Outside of my bedroom was a bunch of other people, collectively from the Administration Magic Class. They said they were doing some kind of meeting but I don’t think a meeting can be this noisy.
I even put on my earphone and played loud music just to muffle out the stupid noise outside. What the heck were they rambling on about I wonder. Here I thought I would have some peace and quiet for me while I study on the different types of elements. I wish to learn more on how some people can have their elemental magic as also their own innate ability. But not today, apparently. This stupid meeting was handled by the one and only Cardinal of Administration Magic, Sam Maximus. Where do I start?
-
I guess we can start on the next day of me meeting up with Blanc and Shiro. The three of us were eating lunch when Azreal, Kallen and Ralph came to us and joined for lunch. So far so good until the very star of this chapter appears right before us with a fierce expression between her eyes.
“Look what we have here…Aren’t you three supposed to be cleaning up the class today?” Sam crosses her arm.
Azreal pleaded to her, “We’re just having lunch, Sam. We promise to clean the class after this.”
Ralph added, “Yeah. What’s the big idea? Can’t we at least take a break first after that boring class we had this morning?”
Kallen also added his own points, “It’s not like we have any class until next week.”
“All of those excuses are weak. Too weak!” Sam shakes her head and slams the table.
Shiro tried to interfere, “Hey, don’t smash the table. Some of us still haven’t finished eating.”
“And you are?” Sam looked at Shiro with displeasing eyes.
“Hariken Shiro. One of the…”
Sam cuts him off, “A nobody. This isn’t related to you so can you just shut your mouth and let me settle this matter with my colleagues?”
“Excuse me? Did you just cut me off?” Shiro was riled up.

I hold him back, “No. Let’s just…not do anything about this, Shiro.”
“You better.” Blanc slurps her noodle and said, “You’re just going to make it even worse…”
“How am I making things worse?”
“Shush!” I closed his mouth with my hand. “Anyway…Sam was it? You guys may continue…”
“Thank you for your cooperation.” Sam lightly bowed down, “And you are?”
“White. Just a dorm mate to those three…”
“Ouh…so you’re White…I’ve been hearing a lot about you through Yumiko…She does also happen to be your dorm mate as well, correct?”
I nodded, “Yeah. What about it?”
“Nothing really. I am just a bit…amused that I finally get to see someone who is able to fight back Yumiko. What’s going on between you two anyway?”
“I think this isn’t the time we should be talking about this, Sam. We’re trying to eat lunch.”
“Delicious lunch.” Zenith suddenly appeared next to me as she slurps down her own noodle.
“Zen! What the heck?!” I jumped out my table in shock. “Oh whatever…”
Sam chuckled a bit and said, “I guess that’s fine for now, White. Now…” Sam turned back to the other three, “Pack up those foods and go clean up the class. Or else…”
“Or else what, Sam?” Kallen intervened.
“What are you doing, Kal?” Ralph was getting scared.
Then all of a sudden, Kallen stood up and packed his food inside a container and left the table. He just went away without saying anything to us. He did payed his lunch but he was like a zombie or something.
“What just happen?” Shiro was confused.
“Absolute Order. It’s Sam’s innate ability.” I told Shiro.
“You are exactly correct, White. I’m surprised you know about my ability.” Sam appreciated my knowledge of her ability.
“Well I am from Magic Studies. It’s a given trait.” I shyly respond. “Isn’t that right, Zen?”
Zenith nodded without any words as she continues to slurp down the bowl of noodles. Somehow, I got a feeling that Zenith needs to have some special study sessions with me. She seems to be a little of a…oddball.
“What are you two waiting for?” Sam turned back to the other two and said, “Go and help your friend over there. Or would you rather I help you with that?”
“No, Ma’am!” Azreal and Ralph packed their lunch and ran away from The Pen.
“Idiots…Maybe I can dub those guys as The Three Idiots or something…” Sam mumbles to herself.

Three Idiots? That kind of reminds me off The Magnificent Three way back in my high school days. I wonder what they are doing right now. But in any case…
“We will meet again, White. Very soon.” Sam left us.
“What’s her problem with you, White?” Shiro asked.
“I don’t know.” I shrugged, “I didn’t do anything to hurt her reputation.”
“Maybe she’s interested in you.” Blanc finished gulping down her bowl of noodles.
Zenith also finished her noodle exactly the same time as Blanc. Those two sometimes looked identical at times…It’s kind of jarring to say the least.
“Interested? I doubt that. Why would a beautiful girl like that be interested to a nobody like me? In fact, who in the freaking universe would follow me to the ends of the world?”
“I would.” Zenith softly barges in.
I looked at Zen with displeasing eyes. She seems to be unable to read the situation. I went to her and placed both of my fist next to the sides of her head and squished it down evenly and spun my hand like a drill.
“Ow...” She monotonously screams in pain. “It hurts…” In fact, I don’t think she even feel anything right now. She doesn’t seem to express pain at all. But she was struggling to escape from my drill hands.
Blanc laughed, “You two are so funny.”
“What are you talking about?”
Blanc was still laughing, “It’s like you two were meant for each other or something.”
“Ow…” Zenith continues to monotonously scream in pain in the background.
“Is she from your class, White? She’s been spying on us for the last few minutes from afar” said Shiro.
“She did?” I looked at her and drilled down harder than before.
“No…please…stop…” Pain received, still monotone.
We finished our lunch and left The Pen after that. Goodness, I had a lot to think about right now. First there’s the problem with my old friends from Team Stardust. Apparently they met ‘Mei’ but they think it’s not exactly Mei. And right now they are hunting down the other three symbols somewhere in this world. They said this could lead to the people that attacked me and my family earlier this year. Yeah…those twins…
The second thing is I haven’t got to talk with Yumiko ever since that day. I need to know more on what she meant by being careful of Vatherion, The Third Champions of Chaos. If it’s a consolation, I would at least get some confirmation about something that still lingers my mind. Does she really have a dragon inside of her? Did she really eat an Infinitum Crystal?
The third matter is this weird feeling that something is about to happen between me and the entire class of Administration Magic. Sam doesn’t seem to be like a bad person or anything but she still exudes that menacing aura whenever she’s nearby.
And the last problem here is…
A soft snooze was heard right next to me. It was Zen who was sleeping by the window. She was probably on her lookout duty even though I said not to do so at all.
“You have a lot to learn, Zen…”
I woke her up and asked her to go and sleep at her own room which was located on the girls building. She reluctantly left the dorm through the window after being drilled hard in the head by my hands. Anyway, the last problem I have is to teach Zenith about a lot of things. She’s a human unlike Blanc and Shiro but she’s the only one who doesn’t act like a human at all. Blanc and Shiro seem more human than Zenith. That needs to be fixed.
I decided to take a breather and went out of my bedroom and join the others at the living room. After days of no contact, Yumiko suddenly appears and was seen hanging out with the other boys. I was about to walk to her until I heard a knock from the door.
“Answer it, idiot.” That was her first sentences after the fight we had.
I opened the door and unsurprisingly it was non-other than Sam Maximus.
“So this is your dorm, White.” Sam proudly stood in front of me, “Alright then. Time to set up camp over here.”
“Wait what?”
Sam pushed me away and barged into the dorm.
“Good. This is a good place.” Sam looks around. “Put the stuff here, people!”
Then suddenly, a bunch of other people started clamouring about in the dorm. They appeared to be setting up some sort of a meeting room.
“What the heck is going on? Yumiko, is this you’re doing?”
“What are you talking about, White? It’s Sam. She does whatever she wants to. I’m not involved in this.”
“Great…Just great…”
