《How I Slayed A Dragon》Basic World Intro
Advertisement
Hey! This is me, the author. So this is the basic introduction to the world, if you know about fantasy worlds or you've seen isekai anime/ manga, then this basically just review for you and to be honest you can skim or skip through this. This is lore of the world and is not too important, although i may mention reference these (Honestly though, I only made this chapter so I don't forget any of the lore stuff I add into the world. You would understand a majority of the story without reading this so you can literally skip this if you don't feel like reading all this text).
Basically this is a medieval fantasy world of monsters, and magic. Knights protect the city and wizards and sorcerers exist. Adventurer guilds hunt down monster and conquer dungeons obtaining loot and riches.
Welcome to the world of Artania.
In this world, everything is ranked, the strength of a person, the strength of a monster, the quality of a weapon, how efficient a potion is, etc. The ranking system goes from F, E, D, C, B, A, S, SS and finally SSS as the highest and strongest/ best rank there is. F is below average, a broken weapon, a potion that will poison you, a goblin. E is a average, a normal farmer, a civilian, a poorly made weapon that can still be used but not that well, an undead. D is new solder, a trained man, a new sword made by a blacksmith, a potion that can heal small wounds, a wolf. C is a veteran solder, one who can fight many E or F ranks at once, a sword that is made by a veteran blacksmith and is good quality, a orc/ ogre. B rank is when a veteran solder is not only strong, but has good skills and is smart, a general who leads a small group of solders, a potion that can heal bigger wounds and cuts, a sword that can cut down tough monsters, an vampire. A rank is the cream of the crop, a king who leads an army, one who cuts through monster like they are butter, a wyvern. S rank is when things get serious, a single S rank could wipe out an entire nation, a lich, a dragon, a hero, a demon lord, beings that made it to the apex of mortality. SS rank, there has only been 8 SS rank ever, the supreme lich, the arch mage, the eternal dragon, the holy goddess, the reincarnator, the doom knight, the flame witch, and finally, the slime... these are beings that have gone beyond the mortal limits and are beyond humans, the closest things to being gods. One of these beings could destroy the entire world, yet the balance of power equals out due to the peace treaty of the 8 of them, if one were to betray the treaty, the other 7 would team together to suppress the traitor. You must be wonder... the SSS rank. A myth, a legend, a rank no one has achieved... and yet all 8 of the SS ranks, believe in it and devote their lives on achieving it, a rank where it transcends all of existence...

Artania is dominated by 3 main humanoid species, the humans, the fairies and the devils. However in this world, the three species are friendly towards each other, and in fact, intercourse and marriage between races is not considered taboo. There's even a specific names for the children of the different species. If a human and the fairies have a child, it's called an elf, if a fairy and a devil have a child it's called a faerie and if a human and devil have a child it's a demon. In this world demons are simply a race and not something used as a bad thing, if i called you a demon child, it meant you were a child of a human and a devil and not meant as an insult.
Artania is governed by three gods, Satana, Verney and Artoria. In this world gods are not omnipotent beings, they are not living beings. They are massive clumps of energy that manage this world, Satana manages death by taking the soul, Verney manages reincarnation by recreating the soul, and Artoria manages birth by putting the soul into newly born bodies. The three gods are the laws of the world, and it is a common knowledge in this world. The three main species (human, devils and fairies) are descendants of the three gods, they are made of up of the energy of the gods. The devils are descendants of Satana, fairies are of Verney, and Humans are of Artoria. Though I say descendant, they are not children of the gods, the gods are not beings, they are just clumps of energy and the descendants are simply have those energies within them. The gods of our world are not the same as the gods of this world, the people in Artania have a direct connection to their gods as for us we don't even know if our exist or not yet we still simp them. The people of this world respect the other races because they know all of three gods exist and this keeps the balance between the three species as a mutual respect for the others gods.

Also, this is a fantasy world so don't apply normal logic from our world to here, their way of doing things are different, I may or may not in this (hopefully if i have enough time) series, add things that i don't believe or support but added it for the sake of the isekai fantasy world.
With this in mind, please enjoy!

Fallout: Vault X
An original novel set in the Fallout universe, written to be accessible to all, featuring unique people and places. Vol.II. out now Fallout: Vault X tells the story of John. A vault dweller, who spent every day of his twenty five years underground. Like his father, and his father before him. Proud to live in the last remaining bastion of humanity, all that survived The Great War of the atomic age. Hidden deep below the surface of the earth, toiling under brutal conditions. Year after year, decade upon decade. All to expand into the natural cave system the Vault occupied, building for the future. However, John knew what his forefathers did not, that everything he’d been taught was a lie. After finishing school at the age of ten, John received his standard issue pipboy. An arm mounted personal computer, worn by everyone in the Vault. Used to coordinate the relentless pace of expansion, needed to work as an apprentice. To learn the craft that would be his life’s work. A noble calling to ensure a future for all that remained of the human race. A quirk of fate saw John equipped not with the crude, clunky, pipboy model his father wore. That almost everyone around him wore. His looked smaller, sleeker, finished in a jet black sheen. And capable of doing far more than its drab counterparts. The world above had been ravaged by atomic flames, yet life clung to its bones. The Red Valley fared better than most in the century since the bombs fell. The clean water and rich soil protected by rolling hills. All spared from direct strikes, for the most part. Life survived here. Trees spawned from charred ground, misshapen, green leaves turned red. Along with simple crops, grown wild at first, then cultivated by the survivors. The scavengers of the old world were inventive, hardy people. All determined to rebuild in the ruins of a world they never knew. In the decades that passed settlements emerged. They grew, spreading along the valley floor. Reclaiming the pre-war remnants of the once industrialised heartland. Salvaging the robotic wonders of a bygone age to build their walls and work their fields. To protect them in the dark of the wasteland. But such things are uncommon in this world, and the rarer something is, the greater its value. And the worth of pre-war technology had not gone unnoticed. The last, real, power in this world rested in the mechanised hands of The Brotherhood of Steel. Forged from the mortally wounded old world military. The Brotherhood used its access to the weapons made for a conflict no one won to strike out into the wastes. Men and women were equipped with advanced armour, aerial transportation, high grade weaponry. Accompanied by the training, strength, and will, to put them to use. They established chapters and set up outputs far and wide. All dedicated to a single purpose. To ensure the technology left abandoned by its long dead creators didn’t fall into the wrong hands. Namely, any hands that were not their own. This is the world John escaped into. A place of horrors brought forth from atomic fire. A place where survival meant battling against the darkness. Fighting a war each day to get to the next. And war...war never changes
