Chapter 5 - Deep Sleep

It´s been one month since Master gave me and Mara the order to build him a base. Since then I went around and brainwashed all kinds of rich and influential people to give us Money and sell us the land needed for the base.

Two weeks after Masters Command was issued we had been able to buy a piece of land that matches Masters Requirements. Mara immediately started to hire construction several companies that began to excavate the underground facilities.

The most things we did as Master instructed us to do but we built them much bigger than he specified. We figured that if we do something we do it right. The base had living space for roughly 10000 people over- and underground and 2000 Solders underground. The factory, hangar and labs were also double the specified size. The whole base would be powered by three fusion reactors and had several industrial grade Replicators planned.

For all that we needed more funds, so I up brainwashing more people, got us a private jet and flew to the US because it would be easier to conceal our money gathering if it took place in different countries. Mara suggested we founded a company to move the money around easier. Well I didn´t understand it all that well but Master created Mara for that purpose. We registered Master as the Owner and president and called the company Heisenberg Inc. Mara even thought up a slogan: Heisenberg Inc. creating tomorrow, today!

Three weeks after Masters Command, we had set up offices all around the world. We became the secret majority shareholder of Microsoft and Apple. Strangely any attempt to take over Google failed, because all of my attempts to brainwash their representatives failed. At first it wasn´t that much of a problem but after some time the company’s servers showed signs of several Hacking attempts.

With the supercomputers, we stripped off the ship and placed in the base, which was nothing more than a big hole and some already finished buildings, we could trace the attackers to one of Googles facilities in the US. Since that day we hired a security company to guard all of our offices and the construction site.

Today I and Mara were in another Meeting. This time we had intentions to take over Hekler&Koch one of the leading German weapon manufacturers. The meeting had gone like normal: First I would brainwash all the participants into agreeing with everything Mara would say. Then we would buy the Shares for a fourth of their regular prize. The Meeting went well, which wasn´t a big surprise, and we left the building with two guards from the security company that we hired.

Just as we wanted to enter the car that was waiting for us, five heavily armed and armored men started firing at us.

Because I couldn´t Mind Control them, they were probably hired by google. One of the guards was instantly dead and the other was hit in the leg and was now crawling into cover behind the car. Mara was cowering next to me and I pulled out the Plasma Pistol we looted of the ship. One of the men came around the car and the wounded guard started shooting at him which hadn´t much effect because of the full body armor that he wore.

 I put an end to him with one Plasma bolt. The plasma began melting down his armor and burn through his skin. After a few seconds of moaning and shouting he was dead and most of his left half was melted.

Now it was our time to attack. As I peeked around the car, I saw two of the men steadily crawling closer to our cover. I killed them both quickly. That left two men to deal with. One of the men was taking cover behind a car on the other side of the street after he saw what happened to his comrades.

Naturally that wasn´t much help as I melted his cover with some plasma bolts. One of them hit his back and melted it after which he died. The last man was nowhere to be found and I suspect that he managed to run away. Suddenly I heard sirens coming closer. We quickly picked up the dead and wounded Guard and drove away as fast as we could.

That event had big far reaching consequences, one of which we could handle in the time of a month, the other would last longer and would be more problematic than we expected. For one there was a full blown investigation directed at us, which cost us much money and time.

As things looked, there would also be a war with google in the foreseeable Future. For that we had to prepare. We set up the cloning facility, which we looted off the Spaceship, in our fast progressing base. After all was done, we started to begin to clone our Soldiers. They would be based off of me and improved for their assigned tasks.

For now they had to work with conventional weapons but in the future we planned to build more plasma weapons in our underground factory when it finished. All was going well and after three more weeks it seemed almost as if nothing would be happening. After three more weeks the Base was half way done. We just went from our office in Berlin to inspect the Bases progression when we heard an explosion behind us.

When we turned around, we saw our office burning and heard gunfire out of that direction. By that time we had exchanged the hired guards with our clones which are to a degree resistant to gunfire. So we turned around and rushed to the site to reinforce our guards. What we saw was like a battlefield, twenty heavily armed and armored men were overwhelming the guards.

We immediately opened fire and managed to kill two of them with a surprise attack, but were under heavy fire. We stopped the car and tried to get out and into cover, when we heard something being fired in our direction. Mara and I jumped into cover behind another car, but our driver was to slow and the car exploded with him near it.
