On the third floor, Ashton stop. He saw dead people slowly walking and knocking on each and every door with kicks, destroying them, and then entering to check if there is someone.
Their motive was simple.
Find, kill and eat.
Ashton turned and looked at Matt and whispered "Go back."
Matt didn't ask anything as he made his way to the fourth floor.
"Awakens are entering the building. There were six on the third floor. They are checking all the rooms. What do we do?" Ashton asked patiently.
"We need to get out of this building as quickly as possible. So, we run. Kill which came close to us. And leave those who left behind."
"Do not stop. You must run without looking back. No need to kill all of them. We just need to kill those who get in our ways. Understand?" Matt explained.
Ashton nodded his head "I'll be in front. You stay behind."
Matt took a deep breath and nodded.
Then both get back to the third floor and saw only two dead awakens moving slowly.
One has a face towards them and the other one was looking a different way.
Matt knocked Ashton's shoulder slowly.
Ashton turned his head.
"Target their head," Matt whispered.
Ashton nodded. Took a deep breath. And gave a sign. They are moving.
Ashton's whole body turned ironed. His hands became a sharp long knife and then he ran with his full might.
The awaken who was looking at them growled "GARRRRRRRRR." But other than that, it couldn't do anything.
Ashton directly pierce its head and moved on. Matt from behind slashed his blade and cut the other one into two halves.
It all happened within a second. Then they ran.
Matt looked at the cards and whispered "Collect."

The card flew and entered his body.
Matt smirked. He was right. There is no way anyone will have a chance or time to collect cards while fighting. He just tried a trick and it worked.
Again, a bit of damn luck.
They ran towards the second floor. Leaving the other four dead's inside the room. Then they stop.
They both looked in front of them. Half of the corridor was filled with deads. There must be more than 15. And now they all turned towards them.
Ashton froze. But Matt didn't. This was something within his calculation and he slashed his blade with all his might while whispering "Indiscriminate Slaughter."
A windy silent transparent gale moved from his slashed blade. Just like a tornado but it didn't make any sound.
The sight looked beautiful. A Cone-shaped windy tornado moved from the blade sharp front and everything within sight was destroyed.
All the deads were gone.
Only 17 floating cards left.
All the ten rooms have their doors destroyed. The floor was in crumble and then the loud boom resounded with that the leftover debris fell.
Indiscriminate Slaughter: A powerful physical slash attack against multiple enemies. Inflicts 200% damage in a 50*4 yard in a cone in front of you. Cooldown: 9 seconds.
Indiscriminate Slaughter as its name sounded truly slaughtered indiscriminately. Nothing left.
"I thought the plan was to go as silently as possible." Ashton broke the silence.
"It was." Matty himself was in shock. That. Was. So. Fucking. Out. Of. This. World.
"Remind me not to get on your wrong side ever. Like ever." Ashton asked as he looked at Matt.
Matt blinked. Then nodded.
"Let's move," Ashton whispered as he made his way to the first floor and then became speechless.
The first floor was full of dead ones. And they were clearly waiting for them.

Matt on the other hand just nodded his head. Came in front. Slashed his blade but this time he whispered "Ceaseless Slaughter."
This time a bloody red wind gale came out from the pointy sharp front of his blade. Silent like before.
But this time there were small faces on the wind. Every type of face. Humans, monsters, demons, devils.
There were thousands of them. They move and they ate.
This all happened in a second and everything was gone. Nothing left. More than 30 dead walkers were nowhere to be seen.
Ceaseless Slaughter: A powerful magical slash attack against multiple enemies. Inflicts 200% damage in a 50*4 yard in a cone in front of you.
It truly was a Ceaseless Slaughter. Not even walls left behind this time. Everywhere those faces went, they ate.
"Run." Matt cried as he hurriedly ran to the ground floor while collecting the cards.
Ashton was speechless and scared shitless. There were no walls left. Fuck. Does Matt want to kill both of them including those deads?
They both ran. Again, the ground floor was filled with dead people.
"GARRRRRRR." They growled as they all ran towards them.
Matt without even giving a damn about them slashed his blade. 9 seconds have passed since he used Indiscriminate Slaughter so he could now use it again. So, he did. Again, a windy gale came and destroyed everything with 50*4 yards in a cone.
Ashton didn't care. He hurriedly picked Matt and ran out of the building. Matt this time even destroyed the pillars.
If before the building has a chance to keep standing. Now, even that chance was lost.
And he was right. The moment they get out of the building. It crumbled.
Ashton ran behind the two cards. Covered himself with his Iron body and hugged Matt tightly.
With a boom, the building fall, and a shockwave passed by. Both cars nearly flew away.
Ashton protected Matt with all his might until the silence descended.
"A-A-A-A-Ash," Matt whispered as he felt pain all over his body. He also felt thirsty and hungry. Using those skills made him weak. He can't use them indiscriminately like a crazy freak.
They are powerful.
Yes. No doubt.
But he also needs to be powerful enough to use them. His body is just too damn weak.
"I-I-I-I-I-I am fine." Ashton stuttered as he felt immense pain all over his body. His body went back to normal.
Matt didn't believe him in the least but he was the same. Right now, they needed to get out of here. Dead people will all rush here now that they heard such a loud commotion.

AN ILLUSTRATED NOVEL • UPDATES TUESDAY AND FRIDAY In a time before living memory, the King Dragon of the Void watched the world and realized there was a crack. He realized that humanity was destroying the rock upon which they lived; they leaked life’s code into the churning chaos. At first the change was imperceptible: nanites overtook microorganisms, bacteria, viruses, amoebas. Insects became increasingly inorganic; birds and lizards followed soon after. Even humans were infected by their own advances, cell by cell, till there was not a person left on earth who wasn’t at least part synthetic, the product of a prior generation’s carelessness. The world’s population was ravaged by mechanical viruses with no vaccines; they were mercilessly overtaken by bacteria that knew no death. Soon, most of the planet was empty and only a handful remained who remembered the hedonist realm they came from; only a few were left who remembered what the world looked like when their buildings touched the sky. The King Dragon of the Void watched the rock turn. He watched humans cower as the Old World fell down around them; watched their great monuments crumble into dusty ruins; watched their codes become precious, ancient gem memories forged under the crushing pressure of so many fallen stones. The world has spun many times around the sun since chaos swallowed man whole. It is a simpler time than the one that died out, but the people now are not immune to the folly of the people before. There is old code everywhere: in the water, in the air, in the trees. The heart of man has been replaced by power cores, many of which are hard-coded with preternatural abilities—when they die, an esoteric mountain sect collects their cores and stores them in their hollow mountain home to preserve the sanctity and dignity of human death. They’ve learned to harness artifacts of the old world, gemstones full of codes their nanite infused bodies can parse as spells imbuing their users with great power; they inlay them into their bodies, into their skins, connected to their cores by copper conduit and gold tracers; they dress themselves in tattoos to advertise their prowess; they battle for relics in arenas, fight for them in the open world wherever they are found. The King Dragon of the Void watches the rock turn and wonders: when will this hunger finally make the rock stop spinning? WELCOME TO FANXING CITY … Twenty-five years ago, Fanxing City and the surrounding lands were commanded by the mad King Zao Beiguan. For many years, the King hoarded wealth, artifacts, food; he demanded tribute from a people already taxed to the edges of their existence and expected they be happy with their circumstances. Noncompliance was often punished harshly, bodies displayed proudly on Fanxing’s streets as a warning, from the city gates to the Zao palace’s golden doors. The youths of several prominent clans came together to overthrow the tyrant and made names for themselves as legendary heroes across the land: Tian, Ren, Feng, Gui, Ma, and Zhenxi. Even wanderers from the Luanshi sect descended from Yunji mountain to aid the rebellion. When the dust settled after three years, Tian Yunyong ascended the throne of Fanxing and swore to honour his slain father’s memory, and has maintained Fanxing’s peace with generosity and mercy where fear and cruelty once reigned.
