《Welcome To Terminus》Chapter 18 - Usage of Purple Cards

"Wow. So that's what these are." Matt whispery yelled as he looked at the purple cards and continued "These can increase our other three stats. Physical resistance, Element resistance, and Body regeneration."
Ashton and Sam also looked at the purple cards curiously. Just like green cards there was written 'crush it' on front and on the opposite side 'Physical resistance', 'Element Resistance', and 'Body Regeneration'.
There was a total of 21 Purple cards. 8 Physical Resistance cards, 8 Element Resistance cards, and 5 Body Regeneration cards.
"Here. You take 4 cards of each Physical and Element Resistance. And also, these 5 Body regeneration cards." Matt spoke as he passed the 13 more cards to Ashton.
Again, Ashton guiltily looked at Matt.
On the other hand, Matt just glared fiercely. Telling him to shut the fuck up and start crushing the cards.
So, what could Ashton do? Reluctantly he crushed all the 13 cards. This time instead of feeling comfortable he felt an incredible itch all over his body.
"MY BACK! MATTY RUB MY BACK!! IT'S ITCHY!!!" Ashton yelled as he started to rub his body all over while showing his back to Matt.
Matt and Sam speechlessly looked at the moron who was now jumping around like a monkey and showing his back to them.
Matt just sighed and helped him rub his back until the moron stopped jumping.
Then Matt looked at Sam and nodded. Sam also nodded they also crushed their own cards.
Matt altogether crushed 49 Strength cards, 51 Intelligence cards, 30 Endurance cards, 20 Agility cards, 4 Physical Resistance cards, and 4 Element Resistance cards.
Sam altogether crushed 62 Strength cards, 48 Intelligence cards, 52 Endurance cards, 35 Agility cards, 6 Physical Resistance cards, 6 Element Resistance cards, and 5 Body regeneration cards.

And just like Ashton they also felt itch all over their body but also that comfortable feeling.
They couldn't tell what were they feeling now, relaxed or irritated, but that feeling only lasted for a minute before they get back to normal.
Matt and Sam both sighed in relief. Then they looked at the other cards which were black and golden.
"I have 8 Black cards and 1 Golden card. What about you?" Sam asked as he showed his 9 cards.
"I have 20 Black cards and 2 Golden cards," Matt replied as he also showed his cards.
Sam nodded as he curiously looked at the Golden card in his hand "This one is a little different from the one we got previously."
Matt looked at the golden cards in his hand and they were not just a little different. They were entirely different.
The one they got previously has a 'Crush it' written on the front side and on the opposite side there was a picture regarding the type of weapon and technique. Moreover, the card was brighter.
But this one has a dimmer golden light. On the front side instead of 'Crush it', there was written an alphabet 'A' which was the grade of the technique, and on the opposite side instead of showing the picture, there was written the type of technique it was and describe it fully.
"What techniques did you got? Which Grade?" Sam asked.
"Prediction and Accuracy. Both 'A' Grade. What about you?" Matt replied as he showed the cards to Sam.
"Battle cry. 'A' Grade." Sam spoke as he showed his card to Matt.
[Prediction]

[Accuracy]

Cooldown: 3 Seconds.
[Battle cry]
Grade: A
Description: Yell with ferocity and pull aggro from all the enemies. Enemies won't be able to ignore the user and come running towards him to fight. Suppress all enemies in the surrounding with the might of the Battle cry, reducing their Attack power by 40%, Attack Speed by 40%, and Movement speed by 40% for 1 minute.
Cooldown: 3 Minutes.
"Why the fuck do we got such a small description and you got such a long description??? Especially this prediction technique, description ended even before starting." Ashton yelled as he looked at the three cards disgustingly.
"Shut the hell up. Give the 'Prediction' to me. 'Battle cry' to Sam, and crush the 'Accuracy' yourself." Matt yelled as showed his palm to Ashton.
Ashton didn't give a damn as he threw all the three cards at Matt.
Matt just angrily looked at him and passed one card to Sam, crushed one himself, and stuffed the last one in Ashton's hand.
This time Ashton like a good boy crushed the card and smiled "This will improve my shooting skills even more."
"This is why I gave it to you. Now only Black cards left." Matt spoke as he looked at the Black cards.
"Let me try this one. I gotta good feeling about this." Ashton spoke as he snatched the black cards from Matt's hand.
"Now you are truly asking for a beating. Hurry and give them back to me." Matt whispered as he demanded the cards back.
Ashton pitifully looked at Matt but when he saw him getting ready to kick, he hurriedly put all the cards back in Matt's hand.
Matt looked at Sam and nodded. He crushed one card. And out of nowhere, a gel-type small bottle appeared.
"What the fuck is this?" Ashton asked as he took the small bottle in his hand.
"It has a description moron. Read it." Matt yelled as he kicked Ashton.
Ashton ignored the kick as he read the description.
[Water Producing Bottle]
Grade: Bronze
Classification: Continuous use.
Effect: Able to produce 10L of water every day.
"Wow. We don't need to worry about water anymore." Ashton chuckled as he stuffed the bottle in his pocket.
Both Matt and Sam glared at him.
"What? I will take care of it." Ashton raised his brow.
"You. Take care of things. If it was breaking, I would've believed you. But this my boy. You have now done it. On your knees." Matt hissed.
"What if awakens hears us. Let's not beat me now ok." Ashton whispered as he gave the bottle back to Matty.
Matt snatched the bottle away and put it in his pocket and then he and Sam started to crush the other black cards.

Yin-Yang
Mages in North America seem to have it all – typically from well-off families, and able to manipulate their environment in ways most of the world would never believe. They don’t even have to bother with the mundane details of life like housework, thanks to their sensitives, who also make a useful source for extra magical energy. After all, sensitives have no use for it themselves, and if mages weren’t meant to make use of it, then the sensitives would obviously have some way to prevent that. That a mage can transform a sensitive physically, with no restrictions beyond overall mass and basic biological viability, whereas magic tends not to work directly on any other living thing, is only further proof. And look at the way they live on their own, barely a step above animals. It’s better for them to belong to a mage. Sensitives in North America live on the edge of society and survival – typically so paranoid they avoid hospitals and anything else that could lead to being tracked, many of them with little or no education and no legal identity or existence. Mages exist, and mages want sensitives for some reason, but no one ever comes back to explain what that reason is. Waiting every day for the hunters to notice them doesn’t lead to much motivation or hope for the future. And once they’re captured, they’re the property of someone with a terrifying amount of power over them. Anything is better than capture. Mages are born to be the masters, and sensitives are born victims. Or are they? Jax’s life is turned upside-down when he’s caught by the hunters and sold to a mage. Andreas is still mourning for his previous sensitive, though, unconsciously creating a difficult standard for Jax to live up to, all the more so while still struggling to come to terms with this new reality as Andreas’ sensitive. A runaway sensitive isn’t what Van expects at the mental health centre. Is this a hunter trap, set for him and the rest of the Donovan family by the hunters? The hunters would, after all, love to see them cross the line openly and finally do something they can be charged with. Either way, Miranda’s genuinely in trouble, and he can’t just abandon her to it. Snatching a sensitive out from under the hunters and hiding her is odd behaviour for a mage – but then, Catherine is an odd mage, living in disgrace in the old servants’ quarters of her grandmother’s house, responsible for cooking and housework. Lila owes Catherine her freedom; is there a way to help Catherine achieve her own, and at what price? Tension is building between traditionally-minded mages and those advocating change, and something has to break. *** Yin-Yang includes a small amount of profanity and no graphic sex or on-screen physical violence. However, sex and gender roles and relationships within the mage/sensitive subculture are non-traditional in mainstream North American terms. The key criterion in a primary relationship is not relative sex or gender, but the pairing of mage and sensitive; given the transformation of sensitives by their mages, physical sex is non-absolute for a sensitive, and gender identity can vary as in anyone else. *** *** The way mages treat sensitives is extremely varied and, in some cases is outright abusive. The struggle against that is pretty much the point of the book. It is NOT grimdark or misery-porn! However, if you will be triggered by this, please, don't read Yin-Yang! *** Complete stand-alone novel, 153K words! Also available on Scribble Hub and as a free ebook.
