《Garden of Thorns *Lit RPG*》Chapter 30 : The search.

Joshua was riding on Zephyr, continuing onwards. This place was no longer a shopping mall, it was like the set of a horror flick set in the 1800s, with castles and creatures prowling about. Bare skinned humanoids with mouths that stretched unnaturally to their chests, blood trickling everywhere. Some creatures that roamed the area without a head yet was made of humanoid flesh.
Even a few that was made with a bunch of human bodies that had been stitched together by some unnatural being. The creatures stared at Joshua. They were waiting for Zephyr to leave and then attack him. Joshua reached a pathway that was made of thorns, human body parts were strewn all around them.
"Oh... So this was the safety measure put in by the 5th Lord for his trio. Now this will take some time to decipher. Do you think you can hold out for an hour?" Raizel spoke as it inspected the thorns that blocked their path.
"Zephyr, stay by Raizel's side." Joshua stepped and the creatures made their way towards him, crawling unnaturally and something that was beyond human comprehension. The Cherry Blossoms were the only thing he had, but he'll make a bet on them. Slashing the creatures was easy but their numbers were not. They came in hordes, one of which were three ballerinas stitched together.
"Do you like our little performance?!" Their heads spoke via the skeletons buried in their chests, their mouths were taped shut and they went charging after Joshua. Grotesque, twisted by the nature of the demonic and unholy. Joshua could not help but feel the same wrath in his veins as when he saw the wraiths.
The creatures come in droves as Joshua maimed, hacked and slaughtered them. Facing against undead gunslingers, undead knights. Skeletal creature with sickles in hand and suicidal creatures running at him. Joshua swapped one of his hands for the Priest Alex's Blessing. Watching the pistol damage
His thoughts were a mess, the more he killed the creatures the more muddled were the thoughts in his head. His vision was getting blurrier, he was currently in a state of being near possessed. But he had to hold on, the problem was normal magic can't work and the magic of the Four Seasons is not suited to this kind of enemy. His stamina was waning but that did not stop Joshua from still fighting anyway.
"Deciphered!" Joshua jumped into the thorns, where he fell on his back. Zephyr was close by and it scared the creatures that were trying to overtake Joshua's body from him. Boundless Terror had vaporized those creatures indefinitely. Joshua was feeling the fatigue but he felt hands tapping on his back. Three figures. One wore a gas mask and a duster, a shotgun with 4 barrels strapped to his back, with battled stocks. A lever action rifle with bladed stock and a pair of odd shaped pistols. Seemingly uses underbarrel magazines with long barrels.

The other two were pale skinned figures, clearly they were vampires. One wearing a black trench coat and the other wearing a black shirt and jeans.
"Damn, if you're breaking us free then you must be dealing with Soggorin. You want to purge him for good right?" The one in the gas mask spoke to Joshua.
"Yeah." Joshua answered the one with the gas mask.
"Good, I've got a score to settle with that bastard. Name's Krieg. Soggorin killed my dad and forced my mom to give birth to me. In a way, I'm like his bastard son that actually wants to kill him." Krieg said those words so casually Joshua needed to understand what was being said.
"Name's Mitchell and this is Alec. We're both vampires turned vampire hunter. We don't have a weapon on us. Seems like it's gone away." Mitchell was the one in the trench coat while Alec was the one who was wearing casual clothing.
Joshua felt the Twin Guardians resonate with the two Vampire Hunters, Joshua passed it to them.
Where the gun changed itself. Turning into a more elaborate firearm, one that was based on the 2011. A more modernized pistol, 13 round magazines of 45ACP. The guns turned black with angel statues beneath them. When they pulled the slide to check the barrel, Joshua could see the bullets inside have changed drastically. They had a drill shaped projectile instead of smooth lead.
Krieg, Demon Preacher
Class Hellion Gunslinger. Level 125
Father, a priest. Mother, a bartender.
He was supposed to be human but Soggorin intervened and caused his birth.
A spawn of hell, Krieg prefers to wear his mask to not look at his face which is said to be the one Soggorin wears in human form.
Despite being a demon, Krieg still recites the rites of the many things. He is an expert at destroying demons and purging them. It seems the Gods have heard of his plight, and gave him powers to banish them.

"So Soggorin's going to do some shit. Well, let's go. I'm pretty sure this cult is run by a bunch of vampires." Krieg said as he led the path, Joshua watched how a demonic horseman galloped to Krieg, who merely kicked it back.Joshua watched how the horseman fell on their butt, then Krieg just shoved his boot onto the demon's head and crushed it. Banishing it away.
Alec fired off the shots from his pistol to the oncoming creatures, the strike of the shots. Caused the demons to recoil, where Alec ducked and Mitchell fired the remaining shots to the chest and heart. They would reload their weapons and alternate who would be firing first. Krieg then took out his tomahawk, throwing it at the stitched ballerinas.
"Your dance is over, child. I'll just put a bullet in you if that helps." Krieg said as he fired one of his lever action rifles at them. Then flipping the rifle as he swung the blade by the stock that cut through them.
Then he worked the action, Alec and Mitchell moved past Krieg. They swapped their magazines to something else. Alec had shotgun shells into his pistol while Mitchell loaded magnum rounds. Alec blasted off the shotgun shells to clear out the creatures in front of him.
Mitchell fired the magnums to the vitals, pinpoint accuracy and the corpses of the ones inflicted exploded into geysers of blood. When Mitchell reloaded, Alec would be going to the front. Pushing the demons back, then raising his left hand. Pulling his hand to the chest then pushing it forward. Where the blood formed into a sphere at Alec's hand and the final push, it caused the spheres to explode, creating a wide range attack that cleared the demons and horrors.
Krieg put the tomahawk back to his chest, then pulling out the four barreled shotgun. Blasting away with its rotating barrels. More of them came, especially the ghosts and wraith, floating in to his direction. Joshua did not need to do anything, Krieg was loading the shotgun shells into the side breech.
"Come at me, you damned spirits. Try to stop me from putting you to rest in your unholy nature by my unholy hands!" Joshua watched how the shotgun itself, a single shot from it was enough to scare the ghosts away.
"Well, what a boring warm up. So let's go see my bastard of a father named Soggorin." Krieg spoke so easily as he reloaded the shotgun by the sides. Then pumping it as two shells popped out from the top.
"We serve the Lord of Thorns." The trio said as Zephyr came down from below, bringing Joshua ahead to where the other Venerators were.
"Ice Reaper, how are things?"
"We're holding the line at a castle. And it seems Alpha 1 made a mistake. No casualties but they're too tired, master."
"Hold on, Ice Reaper. We'll be there!" Joshua said.
