《Garden of Thorns *Lit RPG*》Chapter 83 : Hatter's underbelly.

Joshua and Fitz followed Coffin Dancer and Laila back to their base. They were in a large silver truck that was driven by Laila, while Coffin Dancer was seated to the metal chair. Using fresh blood to refuel his body. It was part of his character when Joshua had seen.
The Preaching Magnums, a beautiful set of pistols chambered in Anti-Freak magnum rounds. Capable of destroying Regenerators and Freak units with few shots. Underbarrel magazine and reloads with Cemetery Wind.
The Weapon Coffin is known as Cemetery Wind. It's a weapon coffin that is an ever evolving weapon system. Creating rockets, missiles, gatling guns and even artillery. Cemetery Wind was designed to change as time goes on.
Forger of Crafts knows his work, this was done with a person whom he had given a bit of his blessing to craft such a weapon. Smiling broadly to it.
Governor of Death does look the look of the two pistols. It's craftsmanship is beautiful and the weapons are just a marvel to look at.
The Swords of East and West agree. Even noting the outfit that was worn by Coffin Dancer. Wearing a hat with a skull to match the coat with the skull on the back.
Is it wise to go into this world? You can focus on Spataro.-Etana
"Yeah. I need to have more allies. Coffin Dancer, Silver Cross and Silver Gun, Alpha and Omega." Joshua thought his answer.
The Alpha and Omega are noticing the situation here. The Other Sovereigns are trying to see the details of what you and Cold cage are trying to achieve.
Etana explained everything to them.
Seems like some of the Sovereigns are awaiting your call. Alpha and Omega are willing to join you to stop them. However, you must clear the trial of Hatter's Underbelly.
Some of the other Sovereigns are giving a warning. Spataro is an Outsider. To fight against Spataro, you will need to overcome the Seraph's Trial. Sovereign's are also given the chance to join. However, there will be a twist to it later. The twist will be revealed later.
Great things will be more trouble some later on, not that Joshua and Fitz had issues with it. For now, it was mainly to keep going at this pace. He doesn't know the objective clearly. Was it revenge or was it to keep the Hatter's Granddaughter safe? Or was it to clear Coffin Dancer's name?

Joshua glanced at Coffin Dancer that laid rest on the chair. It was as if he would only activate at a certain time. For the rest of his days, he seemed to be resting. Though he was a unique type of Regenerator. One whose strength was something far different.
Laila was driving the truck to a base, where Joshua and Fitz could see a few Regenerators like themselves along with human soldiers that were present. They invited the area in, where Joshua and Fitz stepped out with Laila. The other Regenerators were equipped with a specialized rifle, but that was about it.
"Who's that Boss?" A soldier asked.
"We're just Regenerators of the Macdowell family, just following our boss's will to keep The Hatter's Daughter safe."
"Sorry about the Macdowell family. A good family, and prolly one of the kindness men to ever be in the business. Damn those Vermillion Bastards. Now they want to hurt the Boss of the family." A soldier spoke his thoughts out. That was something worth for Joshua to think about. The Vermillion family, he needed to understand the information and Coffin Dancer's relation to them.
There was also the words of back then, when Joshua thought about the time at the chapel of the Sovereigns. Seeing that the conditions to awaken Coffin Dancer was to find Laila but things changed. So how much of it changed?
Joshua had no idea, but perhaps it has something to do with the Vermillion family. Destroying them may solve the problems, but if Laila is here. Then does that mean there are people loyal to her that wishes to stay by her side when she takes over as the Boss?
There's a few changes here, Joshua needed to keep track of it. He had no idea how to solve this or even counter this but for now. It's best to gather information. From what he understood, Coffin Dancer is a Gen-1 Regenerator. Which meant overwhelming power, but he needs time to rest and renew his blood. His body has a layer of armor that replenishes over time but the drawback being limited cognitive functions. Coffin Dancer does not speak at all but his other senses have been heightened to surpass human levels.

Joshua and Fitz broke off and talked to the other Regenerators. They were Gen 3s that were more stable and didn't have the requirement of being dead to be changed. So Joshua and Fitz were also in this category but the ones that attacked the town? They were a different breed altogether. They were Gen4s or rather best be known as Freaks. Freaks gave up their human consciousness to become weapons, essentially being turned into drones. Only special ammunition can be used to deal with them. A special type ammunition that can burn through their armor layerings like the first Gens. Which is why Joshua's Marvel VIIs needed to use such caliber. Though it is a 45.ACP base the bullets special composition is what makes it great. A chemical reaction to the Freak's body that causes it to shatter like glass when struck enough shots.
Though the problem was? Not enough humans can use such weapons without issues. Even most of them were limited to sniper rifles and shotguns. However, the Freaks were being produced at a fast rate. Not enough ammo to work with the others. They didn't have any means of reproducing the ammo. Even Coffin Dancer loads his ammo for his Preaching Magnums, reloading them as much as he needed but for everyone else? It would need a bit more work.
The Vermillion Family was started by the Hatter and Coffin Dancer or rather, Cross as he was known at the time. Was the Hatter's most loyal ally, but betrayed by the two VPs of Vermillion's Organization, which caused Cross to be framed. When he had been framed as a traitor and executed, the Hatter found out in a letter that Cross took the offer to be a Gen-1 Regenerator. The first of its kind, one made by a mad man who accepted it. Then granting Coffin Dancer the weapons he needed to stop the other Regenerators. The Preaching Magnums, angled pistols that were chambered in a bizarre magnum caliber that could break through the Regenerator's layerings. No special chemical, just brute force and raw power to tear it apart.
Joshua and Fitz proceeded to stop the ammo issue by crafting the ammunition by hand. Multiple chemicals and multiple compounds and alloys. Laila was observing them, watching how Joshua worked on reloading the bullets. Fitz was handling the manufacturing process for the bullets. Working the sets of metals and alloys, using compounds to enhance them further.
The pair worked until the entire stockpile of ammo that they had was more than enough. It could supply them with enough bullets to last them for long firefights that may last more than 70 hours. When they were done, Joshua and Fitz continued on making the other weapon sets that could be used to handle the Freaks and Regenerators alike.
Fitz finished up a new weapon, it was a scythe that had a charging system by the handle. A trigger which would heat up the scythe enough to cut through a thick layer of metal. That may work well against the Freaks. Joshua on the other hand, got himself an assault rifle. Loaded with High Explosive rounds. A two stage bullet. Hitting the target first to break into it, then a second to blow it up. Joshua took a few shots at some armor plating, watching it explode from within. Leaving inward warts into it.
The XENO IX. The engraving appeared by the side. This may work against Regenerators and maybe damage Freaks. A 30 round magazine, Joshua readied the sights for it. For now, this would be what he could do. Joshua and Fitz will be continuing to work on their guns, including helping to convert some new designs for the Regenerators and humans here.
For now.
