Chapter 7: Mysterious Man
Blacky ignored all the eyes which were on him. He opened up the bag and held it upside down, littering the floor with plastic containers.
Blacky picked up the basket, then he began to pour all of the throwing knifes into his bag.
Blacky smiled in satisfaction before an angry yell snapped him out of his joy.
“You, what the hell are you doing?” Cool Breeze pointed at Blacky in anger.
Blacky shrugged. “Young Master Breezy, we need these for the tournament remember?”
Cool Breeze clenched his fists, the sounds of bones cracking could be heard. “We?!”
Janna and Clarke eyed each other, and then they immediately left the store.
Blacky frowned, he took out one of the throwing knifes from the bag and held it out to Cool Breeze.
Cool Breeze snapped his face was burning red. No longer bothering with Blacky he left the store.
“Young Master Breezy, wait up!” Blacky wobbled his way out of the store.
“Ah, why’d he run off.. He should have at least helped me carry a few things.” Blacky found it difficult to walk.
After debating with himself, Blacky decided to head to the Eastern district of the village.
Once he arrived he asked a few people if they had seen a white haired kid, eventually someone directed him to a tavern.
Blacky entered the tavern and walked up to a woman who was at the counter.
“Miss, have you seen a white haired boy here? He’s my friend.” Blacky spoke to the woman.
The woman’s eyes lit up. “Yes, he’s here. Would you like a room to stay?”
Blacky nodded and gave the woman one of his gold coins.
“Can you give me a room near his?” Blacky didn’t care too much about the gold. This was the first time he paid for a place to stay.
“The fourth floor has our best rooms. Your room number is four, you can stay for a month.” The woman smiled and gave Blacky a key.
Blacky went up to the fourth floor, when he arrived he noticed there were five doors.
He went up to the door and used his key to unlock the door, entering the room.
Before Blacky could take a look at what was inside. He noticed a middle aged man, and a black bird glaring at him.
The man had long black hair, wore black clothing, and had strange black eyes. Looking at the man Blacky couldn’t help but feel a sense of danger.
Blacky left the room and checked the number, after making sure it was his room he re-entered the room.
Blacky noticed that a window was open. After a moment of thought he bowed towards the man and spoke up. “Sir, could you be Senior Raven?”

The middle aged man nodded. “Indeed, my ravens have been following you around for a while.”
The man named Raven glanced at the bag on Blacky’s back with a strange expression.
“You’ve indeed been raised by Old Man Black.” Raven had clearly been trailing Blacky.
Blacky smiled awkwardly. Old Man Black and Raven were old friends, now that he thought about it Raven was the first Elemental Warrior he had met.
“Senior Raven, may I ask about the details of this mission.” Blacky only knew that there was a tournament, and not much else.
“The mission for you is quite simple. You simply need to win the tournament.” Raven replied.
“There will be three villagers. None of them have reached the middle stages of the Spiritual Warrior stage. Unfortunately for you now with that fellow joining in..” Raven sighed as he thought about Cool Breeze.
“Luckily, even if he wins it shouldn’t affect the mission, what you need is the reward. Knowing that fellow, he probably wouldn’t want it.” Raven continued.
“Senior Raven, could you be talking about Breezy?” Now that Cool Breeze wasn’t here, Blacky didn’t bother calling him young master.
Raven nodded in reply. “Yes, it’s impossible for you to beat him.”
“What level has his strength reached exactly?” Blacky asked with a frown. Cool Breeze was only fourteen years old he couldn’t be too strong right?
Raven shook his head before replying. “His strength is far above mine.”
Blacky felt shocked. What the hell was Cool Breeze doing in this tournament? Could it be he just wanted to make things hard for him?
“What Sect is Breezy from?” This was the main question Blacky wanted answered.
“Demonic Cult Crew.” Raven replied with a strange smile.
“You mean the most evil Sect within the Empire.. The Demonic Cult Crew?” Blacky now began to praise himself at how well he treated Breezy in the past. Hopefully Breezy could help him join the Sect in the future.
“It appears he has some grudge against you, or else he wouldn’t have joined the tournament. At least that’s what he told me.” Raven said in amusement.
“What? But I’ve treated him so well, and this is how he repays me!” Blacky felt angered at how Cool Breeze wanted to make things hard for him.
“That’s your own problem, there’s nothing I can do about it.” Raven shrugged.
“Then who are the other three?” Blacky already had a few thoughts on how to deal with Breezy.
“Your strongest opponent will be the village chief’s daughter and son, Janna and Clarke. They are both level two Spiritual Warriors. Janna can be considered slightly tougher to deal with. In fact the village chief decided to have the tournament for her sake.” Raven replied.

“Oh, why’s that?” Blacky asked.
“The prize for winning is a heavenly herb called the Golden Leaf, it’s quite rare, and can help one rise from a level two to a level three Spiritual Warrior. It’ll be completely up to you whether or not you can win the prize.” Raven said emotionlessly.
Blacky’s eyes lit up, he just entered the second level of the Spiritual Warrior Stage. Now an opportunity had arrived for him to level up again. How could he not be excited?
Blacky looked at Raven for a moment then said. “As for dealing with the Village Chief..?”
“Once you win the tournament we can discuss that matter further. But knowing the Chief he won’t easily let someone other than his daughter win the tournament, sadly for him that fellow will be participating.” Raven chucked slightly after speaking.
“It seems you’re more or less ready for the tournament.” Raven glanced at the bag on Blacky’s back with a slight smile.
“There is a week left till the tournament. It will be at the Northern district of the village. I’ve already set things up for you, just be sure to be there at the afternoon in seven days.” Raven no longer had anything to say and decided to leave.
Strange black energy appeared under Raven’s feet. Raven then jumped out of the window. Blacky watched how Raven leaped onto one building to another, before finally disappearing from his vision.
Blacky sighed as he thought to himself. “I can’t wait for the day I don’t need to eat any more..”
Blacky took a glance around the room. He shut the door and the window, finally he took off his bag and begun to count his throwing knifes. Overall he had gained a total of twenty throwing knifes, and six swords which were placed in his robes.
Other than that, Blacky had one gold coin left. Since he was going to stay in the village for a week, it would be difficult to steal and not get recognized. He decided to go back to the Western district of the village to buy some food. After filling his bag with food he returned to his room in the tavern.
Blacky decided to use his meditation technique to train himself, for the entire week.
Seven days passed in a blink of an eye. Blacky occasionally went around the village due to boredom. He noticed most of the villagers were talking about the tournament.
Blacky glanced out of the window of his room in thought. There were a lot more people in the village recently. The tournament was going to start very soon. Blacky placed the thin sword and ten throwing knifes into his robes. This time Blacky didn’t go out while carrying his huge bag, which made him feel slightly better.
When Blacky exited the room, one of the other doors was opened at the same moment.
Cool Breeze walked out with a smirk on his face. “Hahaha, look who it is!”
Blacky smiled back. “Ohh, Young Master Breezy? What a surprise you’re still here!”
“Naturally I am, isn’t there a tournament today that you’re participating in today?” Cool Breeze replied with a smile.
“Indeed. Young Master Breezy, are you coming to cheer me on?” Blacky spoke shamelessly.
Cool Breeze shook his head with a smile. “Actually, I plan on competing.”
Blacky pretended to be shocked. “Young Master Breezy, there’s no need! I’ll be sure to win it.”
Cool Breeze snorted. “I feel like joining the tournament, so I will.”
Blacky shrugged and nodded. “Well in that case, I guess I don’t need to compete anymore.”
Cool Breeze’s expression changed as he heard Blacky’s words. The only reason he wanted to compete was to beat up Blacky, if he didn’t compete that would be impossible.
As Cool Breeze thought of that he smiled, appearing quite humble. “Haha, worry not Blacky. I’ll restrict myself to the second level of the Spiritual Warrior Stage…. And if you can beat me I’ll even reward you.”
“Young Master Breezy.. I still don’t feel confident sorry.” Blacky seemed hesitant as he spoke.
Cool Breeze frowned. “I’ll restrict myself to the first level.. On top of that win or lose, I’ll give you the reward that the Village Chief offers.”
“Deal.” Blacky smiled back immediately. Even if he lost he would still receive the golden leaf herb.
Cool Breeze chuckled slightly and nodded. Not saying anything else he began to walk away. Blacky followed behind Cool Breeze with a crafty smile on his face.
Cool Breeze led the way to the Northern district of the village. There was a huge crowd, and many village guards within the area.
Finally they arrived at an outdoor stadium. There was a large gate where a few guards were stationed. Currently more than half the seats around the stadium were filled.
Cool Breeze stopped and turned to look at a certain direction. When Blacky glanced at the spot he noticed Raven was currently walking towards them.
When Raven arrived he smiled slightly towards Cool Breeze and bowed. “Greetings Young Master.”
“Let’s get on with it.” Cool Breeze eyed Raven for a moment before replying.
