The stadium was full of students that passed the first trial and that already entered this school. The first thing that sticks out the most like a sore thumb was the headmasters. You can sense their powerful energy from miles away. Sitting on the throne and writing down notes on who was worthy to pass and who wasn't. Laxus's name was called after 396 people already had their battle. The names of who pass and fail will be called out at the end of the tournament.

Laxus was the one who set the 20,000 power level as a new record in this school. As Laxus faced the person with the second highest known as Asuna. Everyone paid full attention as they witness two of the strongest newbies.

As one of the headmaster's shouted "Start". Laxus rushed right at Asuna. Using his magic that is a weapon manipulation, Laxus created himself a sword and jumped up in the air. Asuna also jumped up in the air with a sword she created out of light. As their sword both clash together, Laxus kept on swinging his weapon at Asuna, but Asuna blocked it by using her light to form a shield. Having to release a huge wind blowing everyone's hair back with each time they collapsed, the whole stadium shake and they weren't even going full out.

They both kept on going and started to destroy the stage, that they're fighting in without even realizing. Having enough of each other canceling each other out. They both went full out with their last attack. Their power level went over 20,000!!! Having no choice, the headmaster quickly appeared between both of them and stopped their attack with one hand on both sides. The headmaster got involved to make sure they don't kill each other or end up severely injured.

The fight having to end in a draw, the headmaster quickly repaired the stage and made it so that the next fighters can fight without having to fight another time.

The next fight was Diamond vs Yuu. Diamond having the power of explosion and Yuu having the power of darkness, who will win?

The fight began and Diamond threw tiny pieces of what looks like tiny particles from a firework onto the ground. While Yuu dodges all of the particles and uses his magic that is darkness, he uses his shadow to grab Diamond's legs. As diamond dodges the attack, Yuu quick rushed in with a shadow cloned of himself. Double teaming Diamond, Diamond quickly duck and dodges their attacks. Putting one hand on both of their stomachs and set an explosion directly at both of them, the shadow was erased.

Yuu being able to only summon one shadow clone at max. He can only summon another one, once the first one disappears, so when Diamond erased the first one, Yuu quickly makes a shadow clone behind him. But before his shadow clone could touch him, Diamond puts one hand facing down and exploded up in the air. Facing one hand at the air, he exploded downwards right at Yuu and destroyed the ground. Yuu quickly does a backflip and dodges Diamond's attack, but before he got the chance to land, Diamond puts both of his hands back and dashed at Yuu with his explosion. Punching Yuu in the face, Diamond sent him landing on the particles on the ground.

When close range to an enemy, the particles set off like a mine. Having to impact the mine, will Yuu be able to still fight?

As Yuu moved towards diamond, he stepped on the next mine until there was basically none left. Yuu went on his knees, putting both of his hands on the ground. With bruises all over him, will that be enough to defeat Yuu?

Yuu using his willpower and shouting with his chest saying "I want to become a black knight and surpass my father." Yuu dashed at Diamond, being badly injured, Yuu was nowhere in shape of using magic. Being nothing more than a punching bag for Diamond, Yuu still hasn't damage Diamond the slightest. Having to knock Yuu down on the ground, the headmaster looking disappointed on how easily Yuu been defeated after seeing his power level he showed during the trial. Waiting for Yuu to either give up or leave the bound, the other headmasters gave up and as they were about to say the match is over, Yuu's eyes turned white.

Repeating what happened to his father, Yuu had no other choice but to use his ultimate weapon, which is his Dark matter form. The power overflowing Yuu and causing a beam of darkness up in the air. Yuu pushed himself beyond his limit and was able to take control of the dark power flowing within him. Without knowing how he controlled it or how he manages to unlock it, Yuu couldn't feel any pain, but his heart did. It was as if he regenerated and regain his stamina.

The audience looked surprised and said, "He isn't royalty so how can he be this powerful?".

Diamond looked at Yuu and said while smiling "now this is a fight." As Yuu looked at Diamond and said " Say goodbyes to your dreams for today because I will win this fight and become a black magic Knight! " dust being blown away when Yuu gave that speech, leaving everyone speechless, Yuu disappeared and reappeared behind Diamond and punch him in the face. Sending Diamond flying to the opposite side of the arena and almost knocking Diamond out of bound, Diamond got up and exploded right towards Yuu. The power of those two came close on rivaling Asuna's power while fighting Laxus suppressed.

As all you can see is explosion and darkness everywhere. Diamond's power level slowly got swallowed up by Yuu's power, with one good solid uppercut on the chin, Yuu made Diamond fly up in the air.

Diamond having flashback of his parents abusing him and treating him like garbage. Diamond finally lose patience and took the fight seriously. With one tip of Diamond's cloth touching the ground, a huge explosion let loose and got rid of the darkness overflowing the stage.

Diamond looked at Yuu and said, "You're not the only one with a dream." As they both clash together causing more destruction than Laxus vs Asuna.

Yuu and Diamond finally ran out of magic, but even though they ran out of magic, Diamond reaching a power level of 12,000 and Yuu reaching 11,000 during them going full out. Yuu going out of his Grim Reaper form and Diamond's power dropping dramatically. Yuu and Diamond refused to give up, they slowly walked up to each other with a power level of 10. Focusing all their power in one punch. Both of their fists bashed together on each other's face. But at the end, Yuu fell, and Diamond stand. Being a close match, sometimes only one can win.
