《Fate Of The Swordsmen》Chapter 12: Love

Tycondris dropped into the center of the room with a tremendous thud. Anarion looked at Tycondris “How the hell do you stay so fat in this place?” Tycondris laughed. “I get up to fifteen meal tickets a day, I’m the Raging Bull! People come just to see me fight against multiple opponents!” One month had passed since Bwoire abandoned Anarion at the bronze arena.
“I hear you are quite popular with the ladies here, being so naked.” Anarion’s eyes turned red with anger. His face turned slightly red. While doing one-finger push-ups he looked up at Tycondris. “Do you want to die you fat son of a bitch?” Tycondris started laughing so hard he couldn’t breathe. “What’s wrong lady’s man? Don’t tell me you are the shy type? I never would have guessed!”
Anarion placed both hands firmly on the ground then stood up. His angry expression and the slight redness of his face was priceless to Tycondris. “I need to ask Dokkor for a tag team fight with you. I’ll confirm it myself,” said Tycondris. Anarion punched Tycondris in the gut. “You’re getting stronger kid. I felt that one.” he sat down gasping for air.
“Shut up, will you? Day in, day out! You do nothing but flap your fucking gums.” Tycondris was now laughing while gasping for air. “Life has not been this fun in a while kid. I know there is more to you than meets the eye, I see a small fraction of the personality. You hide behind your emotional armor. Chipping away at it has provided me with so much entertainment!”
Tycondris smiled. “Say, kid, is there a woman you love?” Anarion crouched down in front of Tycondris and bluntly said “No, even if there was. It wouldn’t be any of your fucking business.” Anarion was giving Tycondris the stare of death. Tycondris started laughing again.

“No wonder you are so high strung and moody! Kid, there is nothing in this world like being in love! It’s the best part of being alive in fact! It changes and molds you in ways you could never anticipate!” Anarion was still giving Tycondris the stare of death. “Cmon kid, you can’t tell me you have never felt anything for anyone! I bet there were a ton of cute girls in the swordsman academy.”
Anarion stood up. “Eleven more months of this. The fighting is easy, but I don’t think I can put up with your fucking bullshit any longer!” Tycondris was laughing even harder. “This is so easy because I know it is getting to you. You are not the cold person I see in front of me. Be yourself kid, there is no shame in that.”
Anarion was about to retaliate with violence again when his name was called. Tycondris shouted as he left “Go get em, lady killer!” Down the hall, you could hear Anarion yelling “Shut the fuck up! I’m going to fucking kill you! I fucking swear!” Tycondris couldn’t stop laughing. Another inmate approached him, a skinny bald man in his mid-twenties. His name was Delthor.
“Why do you keep provoking him like that?” Tycondris looked at Delthor. “Being so young like that. He’ll never experience anything in life unless he stops pushing people away. He’s such a shy kid despite acting so hostile, in a way he reminds me of my little brother. I’d like to help him, the only way I can do that is getting small glimpses of his personality by teasing him. I’ve got time, I can break him down.”
Delthor lifted an eyebrow. “Even though he reminds you of your little brother, why would you go so far to help him? You’ve been nothing but a brutal killer in here.” Tycondris laughed. “Maybe he reminded me that we are all human in here. I’ve done so many terrible things, I thought it would be nice to do something for someone else.”

Twenty minutes later Anarion came tumbling in from the grate. “That was fast kid!” exclaimed Tycondris. Anarion ignored him, instead returned to his training. The next day in the afternoon both Anarion and Tycondris were called to the gate. “Finally a chance to kill you without being punished for it!” exclaimed Anarion.
Tycondris laughed. “Sorry to burst your bubble kid, but this is a team match up. I asked Dokkor last night if he could set one up.” Anarion glared at Tycondris “I’ll fucking kill you!” Tycondris continued laughing all the way to the arena. Dokkor was waiting.
“You’ll be out there in five minutes. They are just collecting some body parts from the last match, it was a bloody one.” Tycondris grabbed a great axe from the weapon rack. “Let’s work together kid!” Anarion ignored Tycondris. Moments later it was time to start the match.
Tycondris walked ahead of Anarion. “Today we have a special match up! A team match! Here comes the Raging Bull!” There were moderate cheers. Anarion stepped out into the arena. “Here he is! The Naked Madman!” You could hear nothing but loud cheers from the females of the crowd.
Tycondris looked back at Anarion. “So you are a lady killer. There are more women here the men I bet.” Anarion’s face turned slightly red from embarrassment. Tycondris was laughing. A large creature stepped out from the other side of the gate. It was dark blue and looked ferocious. “An ogre! I’ve never killed an ogre before!” exclaimed Tycondris.
Anarion looked at Tycondris. “Bring it down to its knees, I’ll take care of the rest.” Tycondris nodded. “Sounds like a plan kid.” The announcer yelled. “Here he is mostly ladies and gentlemen!” That statement sent shivers down Anarion’s spine. “For fifty years he’s been undefeated! It’s Killger!”
Tycondris looked back at Anarion. “Killger? What a stupid name. Let’s kill this bastard!” The announcer yelled “Fight!” Killger charged at Tycondris head-on, he moved gracefully for his weight, dodging the ogre. He sunk his great axe deep into the Ogre’s ankle causing it to kneel.
The moment Killger kneeled Anarion jumped into the air and roundhouse kicked the ogre in its head. A splash blood, bone, and brain hit the wall of the arena. Killger fell to the ground, its head completely gone. Its eyeballs flew into the crowd.
The cheer coming from the crowd was louder than before. “The Naked Madman blew the ogres head clean off with a single kick!” yelled the announcer enthusiastically. Tycondris looked at Anarion with a sinister smile. “You’ve been holding back on me. I’m starting to believe you are a nice guy.”
Anarion stepped out of the arena while flipping Tycondris the bird. “Unbelievable! I think I like this kid even more now.” Tycondris laughed more. “I should provoke him more so now that I realize he’s been pulling his punches on me.” Tycondris left the arena, a bunch of guards rushed in and began collecting what was left of Killger’s head.
