《The Crawford's Multiverse of Madness》Chapter 24 - Project Alice Activated

After successfully escaping from Nemesis, Alice proceeded to the school to meet up with Jill and her friends.
The journey was brief since Alice was able to calculate the shortest route to get to the school.
Once she arrived, Alice could hear the distinct sounds of zombie slayings and other forms of struggling.
Alice ran inside to see Jill battling several dogs while simultaneously protecting a little girl she assumed to be Angie.
It didn't take long for Alice to dispatch the rest of the mutated dogs and have a short discussion with Jill.
Jill notified her of the increase in the number of people that would be working alongside them.
"So do you trust these people?" Alice inquired since there was a high chance of betrayal.
She didn't want anyone to unworthy to meet Zeel since he was already a paranoid person.
"Yeah, Carlos is a former soldier, LJ is like a rat that can survive anywhere, there was a Nicholai but he died protecting me from those dogs. All the good men die these days and bastards like Zeel get to survive," Jill commented, still holding a grudge against Zeel.
Alice felt the need to point out that Zeel had not exactly done anything wrong, but refrained from such action.
"This must be Angie?" Alice asked as she looked at the little girl with confusion before a spark of realization took over.
"Hi!" Angie answered a bit meekly.
After everyone had regrouped, Alice was introduced to the new people one by one, when she was introduced to Carlos though, her eyes lingered a bit longer than they should have.
It was not about a feeling of attraction but a feeling of disgust. She could feel the T-virus slowly infecting his system.
"How long have you been infected?" Alice asked.
Carlos pondered and answered "An hour maybe more,"
"Today is your lucky day then," Alice said as she reached for Angie's back.
Angie was hesitant at first, but eventually gave in and allowed Alice to do as she wished.
From the case on Angie's back, Alice took out a vial of helix-structured blue liquid and administered it to Carlos immediately.
"Had Angie not have any antivirus, you would have had to make a deal with the devil," Alice smirked.
Carlos was confused about her comment but was still grateful for the antivirus.

After a couple of minutes of waiting, Zeel felt Alice drawing nearer and nearer to his location.
Seeing the attack was about to start, Zeel rushed to the forefront, attempting to get as close to the action as possible.

Alice, on the other hand, could be seen running down the side of a building, hoping for a surprise attack.
Zeel noticed that the group following Alice had grown larger. Without absolute certainty in the group, Zeel chose to remain hidden amongst the ranks of Umbrella Soldiers.
Luckily too, Major Cain seemed to have anticipated Alice's plan and easily disabled the group of attackers. Alice took the longest to subdue because of her unique T-virus, nanite constitution.
After Alice was subdued, Major Cain borough Nemesis forth and was about to introduce his Project to everyone but...
*Swoosh*
By the time everyone noticed, Cain's head was floating in the air. After Zeel decapitated Major Cain, he jumped to the next soldier with blinding speed.
With the death of Cain, everyone sprang into action immediately.
The helicopters could not fly due to Zeel's blood, and Alice killed the majority of the remaining soldiers. Both Zeel and Alice managed to kill Nemesis.
Unknown to anyone, Major Cain had a pacemaker linked to his heart. Upon his death, the pacemaker would trigger the correct codes to launch the nukes at Raccoon City.
Zeel and Alice both felt a chill run down their spines. They watched the trail left by the missile as it grew close to Raccoon City.
Zeel hopped in the only remaining helicopter and after everyone boarded, he pushed the helicopter to its limits using the nanite's computing capabilities.
After getting a somewhat safe distance away, Zeel turned to Alice.
"Are you going to be all right?" Zeel asked Alice who looked a bit too weary after the battle.
"Yeah, I'll be fine," Alice answered as she leaned back into the helicopter seat.
Suddenly, Zeel felt something amiss. The missile was way beyond his projected range of yield.
"Hang on to something!" Zeel yelled as the missile made an impact near City Hall.
The resulting shockwave washed over the helicopter, coupled with the late departure, and their proximity to the epicenter of the explosion. Everything went south immediately.
The helicopter span out of control, threatening to break apart.
"We're going down!" Alice yelled.
A steel pole got loose and was heading towards Angie but Alice got in the way last minute. Zeel attempted to push her away but did not entirely succeed.
The steel pole pierced through his hand and continued its journey through Alice's chest. Still, Zeel noticed that the T-Virus in Alice's body concentrated in her heart a moment before she was pierced through.
Zeel went into survival mode, opting to secure Alice and use everyone else as a sacrifice for their survival.

However, before he could implement his plan, the helicopter fractured under the strain of the twists and turns. Zeel was tossed out of the helicopter nearly three hundred feet above the ground, disappearing into the nearby forest.
*Crash*
*Crash*
The helicopter crashed, followed by an enormous explosion and then the forest resumed its peace.

"U-Gamma to base. Confirmation. We've located the crash site," A pilot reported back to his immediate superior upon reaching the site of the crash.
"Fetch the medical team," Dr. Isaacs ordered as he inspected the body of Alice.
He noted that while there was a steel beam through her heart, she could not be considered dead as yet.
"What about the others?" Issacs asked.
"No other bodies found, sir," The leader reported.
"Okay bring her back!" Dr. Isaacs ordered as he couldn't suppress the growing excitement inside himself.
He had recently learned that Alice had successfully bonded with the T-virus.
A helicopter rose into the air, carrying the body of Alice, little did they know that the nanites inside her system were already working to restore her body to peak level.
Two months later at a Secret Umbrella Facility.
Inside a pod with embryotic fluid and nutrients was a naked Alice. Near the outside was Dr. Isaac attempting to communicate with her.
"Alice. Alice, wake up. Can you hear me? Do you understand what I'm saying?"
The girl shakily nodded her head, seeming like a crack addict who missed her daily dose.
"Good," Isaac said as he turns to the other doctors present and said in a cold tone, unlike the friendly one used earlier "Begin the purging process,"
"Her recovery's remarkable. And her powers, both physical and mental are developing at a geometric rate," A Doctor reported.
Isaacs completely oblivious to others continued to question Alice.
"Where are you?" he asked.
"You're safe,"
"Come on,"
"That's it," Issacs said as he guided Alice to her feet carefully.
Isaacs continued to speak as if he was talking to a child since essentially this Alice was a child.
Using the technology available, Issacs was able to somewhat revive Alice's failing heart. The rest her own body took care of, this phenomena startled Issacs with no end.
Alice should have been dead after the crash, but instead, she had entered a state of suspended animation.
"There we are. Do you know what that is? It's a pen. Do you see it? You try. That's it,"
"Pen," Alice said as she recalled what a pen was.
The memory was blurry but it was still in her mind.
"Look at me,"
"Can you remember anything? You remember your name?" Isaacs asked, curiosity taking over his logical mind at that point.
"My name?" Alice asked in a cute, confused voice.
'My name' Alice thought as the nanites inside her body began to vibrate excitedly.
"I want her under-hour observation. A complete set of blood work.
Chemical and electrolyte analysis by the end of the day," Isaacs started to give orders to his subordinates, no longer giving the twitching Alice any more attention.
'My name' Alice thought once more with her nanites beginning to project the stored memories from her subconscious mind into her conscious mind.
"My name," Alice said out loud for the first time, catching the attention of a couple more Researchers.
"Sir,"
A researcher attempted to get the rambling Issacs' attention.
"Advanced reflex testing is a priority," Isaacs continued giving orders as he was already too absorbed in the potential results of Alice's experimentations.
"My name," she mumbled as memories started reappearing inside her mind.
"My name...
...is Alice,"
Alice said, fully regaining her once last memories as the headaches stop and the nanites settle down.
"And I remember everything," she added.
After finishing her statement, Alice attacked everyone in the lab before making her way outside. There, she met many guards with guns pointed at her.
However, a car pulls up with Zeel dressed as an important Umbrella Director. Zeel spoke a little before taking Alice to the car.
Zeel signaled the car to drive away immediately. When met by another checkpoint, the guard receives a call from Isaac.
"Let them go," He said.
After exiting the facility with a successful rescue mission, Zeel took the opportunity to try and talk with Alice.
"Good to have you back. Are you all right?" He asked.
"Fine," Alice replied with a slightly forced smile.
Zeel could sense the nanites in turmoil and guessed that something must be wrong.
He silently urged the nanites to scan the body and get rid of any foreign substance or interference that may be causing the dissension within Alice's mind and body.
∞∞∞
Isaacs, in another room, was laughing happily but little did he know who was going to get the last laugh.
"Program Alice activated!"

Phantom Storm
"Have you heard, the entire Bonanno crew was brutally murdered!" Exclaimed a youth in his early teens. "What? you're lying, again!" Another similarly aged child responded with crisp denial in his tone. After all, the crew was infamous for their ruthlessness. An eery silence passed between them. Soon enough, the teens' curiosity trumped his ego, and he found himself inquiring in a meek voice. "So...Who did it?" "I heard my father talking about it while he was drunk. Guess what he said?..." The child responded, he was a natural-born storyteller. Listening intently, the other teen urged him on. "It was done by a single person. When the police arrived, the bodies were charred black, likely the work of an electro mage. Most had an arrow or two lodged in their body, and a few were even chopped into neat little slices by a sharp blade." He paused, inhaling sharply. "All the victims had shocked expressions on their faces. As if the enemy was invisible or something. That's why they call that person the Phantom Storm!" concluded the adolescent with an excited glint in his eyes. 2 CHAPTERS PER WEEK (Canada time) [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] -------------------------------------------- Follow Itsuki as he is reincarnated in an unfamiliar world, left to discover where he belongs in such a place.
