《The Crawford's Multiverse of Madness》Chapter 115 - Come At Your Own Risk

(Zeel's POV)
Sitting in the conference room, I could feel the uncertainty in the atmosphere. It was almost palpable, but also laughable how concerned the group was. I won't lie, after the battle, I left a bad impression on everyone here.
Even Alice didn't know I was cloning the Garde, and I can feel her curiosity about Project Quasar – but I can't tell her it is practically condemning an entire galaxy to death.
Alice began talking "So what are we doing here, does it have to do with how we're going to get to Lorien?"
She obviously wanted to guide the talks away from the war we left for the humans to handle. I doubt they can't win with the chimeras there to help them. I feel no pity for the humans that die as a result of the conflict, I was incapable of feeling so.
However, I still felt a faint bit of reluctance at so many useless deaths. It was not their deaths that bothered me, but the mere thought of someone dying needlessly, and uselessly. I guess it was a form of OCD from my time training with the Asheborn's. I was thought that everything has its uses, and it was a crime to waste resources.
Anyways, as I said before – the battle was over before it even began. I could detect Setrakus Ra's spaceship as it left the Earth's atmosphere and activated its hyperdrive. I could also tell that he deactivated the gravitational stabilizers to move faster, chances are he'll be dead before he even gets to Lorien.
Setrakus Ra probably thought the planet itself was Lorien, which is true but currently, Lorien is within the members of the Garde – slumbering, recharging herself with the excess energy from Alice's and my bodies.
"Yes and no," I replied and as I was about to continue, Elizabeth chimed in feeling a bit frustrated at the current situation "Cut the shit Zeel, just tell us what we need to know,"

Elizabeth had been irritated after she used her nanites to look at the aftermath of the battle earlier. I can't say I am exactly disappointed in her. Not everyone has the stomach to see strewn limbs and corpses all over. Alice and I could stomach it since we often saw it in The Resident Evil Universe.
"How emasculating," I comment, wondering if I wear the pants in the relationship or Elizabeth does. Hell, I think Alice wears the pants sometimes, but she makes me think I wear them so we don't argue.
"So has anyone wondered how my legacy works?" I asked trying to win their curiosity instead of their ire.
"Are you kidding? It's like the number one mystery since we met, we even have bets on it," John commented.
"I bet that it was a new legacy you willed into creation, maybe some technique like my 'Law Creation'?" Ella shrieked excitedly looking for approval.
"I bet it was an ability dormant within you that the legacies just complimented it," Vishnu called out.
Cindy shrugged "I bet it was soul manipulation since you technically saved my soul,"
Marina just stayed quiet and observed the debate, waiting for the correct answer to be told.
"I didn't bet since I kinda knew the answer with some of your memories being accessible to me and all," Elizabeth said to which I could feel my mouth twitch; though she notices this and inquires about my strange reaction.
Alice replied "Those memories are deeper in his subconscious meaning that very deep feelings are required to trigger the response system that links nanites together, meaning the deeper you fall in love the more you see,"
"Yeah, and it's pretty uncomfortable that you fell so quickly, Alice took years, you a couple of months. Almost like you were trying to forget yourself," I explain with a smirk knowing exactly what she is trying to forget.

Elizabeth shrugs "Hey what can I say? I am a committed girl"
"Or maybe one looking for a worthy death, after all, what was it again 'A good death is a blessing on its own'?" I questioned to which she freezes up and Alice bumps my shoulder knowing that was the phrase Elizabeth learned while she was captured by the Mogadorians a couple of years back.
In all honesty, I didn't love Elizabeth, at first, it was just us having sex with Alice's approval but then it became an everyday thing with her moving into the room.
Elizabeth and Alice became closer and closer. While I did like the fact that Alice allowed me to sleep with other women, all while not seeing anyone but myself. Every guy has that dream, right? But the reality is cruel, a fact I learned from a young age, so having multiple girlfriends weren't on the list for me.
"You got something to say to me Zeel," Elizabeth asks becoming a bit confrontational.
"Nothing," I answered before moving on "Well, my legacy is nothing different from yours actually. It's the exact same, I am just better than you guys,"
"Bullshit! You can manipulate anything from what I have seen," John said.
"Make anything as well, with enough concentration," Vishnu added.
"Yeah, and badass nanites to add to it," Cindy also added.
"Well, that's because you guys don't know what technology is, what is technology?" I asked wanting to hear their answers.
"Computers?" John replied.
"Loric charms?" Cindy butted in.
Then when it was Marina's turn to answer she thought for a long time before coming to a realization and answering "Anything!"
"Exactly," I answered a bit impressed at her deduction capabilities "My legacy is Technokinesis, but I called it TechnoMancy of my own accord. Everything around you is technology but humans and apparently Loriens have a preconceived notion that technology is limited to computers and the like.
Really some of the first things considered technologies were spider webs, plows, and the like. I just broaden what I think of technology as, then grains of sand with their crystalline structures became technology, the earth with different composition of soil became technology, everything human-built or nature intended for efficiency became technology to me.
Hence why I say, my legacy is no different from yours really, just I am better than you guys,"
"Kind of a bummer realizing we haven't been questioning these things all the while we had our legacies," Marina muttered.
A statement that I wholeheartedly agreed with as they were just children with gifts before Alice and I met them. Alice and I don't consider ourselves kids anymore since we are about 33 this year.
However, our outward appearance has not aged a day over 21.
"So what does this have to do with going to Lorien?" Marina asked.
"Well, he was trying to say that he built a space ship that can reach Lorien faster than Setrakus Ra but it's risky," Alice summarized what I had been saying since the beginning.
"Well yeah, so come at your own risk," I say darkly chuckling since I knew it would be one hell of a ride.
