《The Crawford's Multiverse of Madness》Chapter 118 - Preparation For Space Travel

John spent the next couple of days searching for Sarah and Sam to say his goodbyes, even though they probably wouldn't even remember him.
He couldn't find a trace of them anywhere which was a major achievement given Zeel's satellite could probably find the top ten criminals on the FBI wanted list.
In the end, John attributed to Zeel's hiding method, but little did he know that Zeel was also at a loss.
'Where is Sam? Where is Sarah? Hey, I tried,' were the thoughts going through Zeel's head at the time.
Vishnu revisited India to see how his old followers were doing and gave those struggling sufficient funds to live the rest of their lives relatively wealthy. Despite trying to be like Zeel, Vishnu was someone who hid how much he cared about everyone, unlike Zeel who simply did not care.
Vishnu often sat down for long chats with Zeel, asking him about his life? Past experiences? Moral lessons and more.
Zeel found the time rather enjoyable since it has been a while since anyone was genuinely interested in getting to know him. Safe to say after Elizabeth, Vishnu was the one Zeel cared about the most – but Zeel caring about you was not a good thing.
A lesson the group would soon learn.
Cindy went alongside John searching for his old friends as they were now a couple. Truly, her intentions were less noble, she wanted to meet his first love effectively scoping out the possible competition.
Though she would never admit it, she was quite happy with the arrangement Zeel made with regards to Sarah and Sam.
Marina stayed with Ella to comfort her through her grieving for Stanley who actually died in the battle. Ella was blaming Zeel since he did not clone anyone other than herself – at least not that he revealed.
Little did she know that Lorien only had the necessary energy to resurrect her and not Stanley.

Marina spent the rest of her time learning to cook some earth dishes from India since she and Vishnu had gone steady after some procrastination.
They were the cutest couple in the entire group since their love was truly filled with teenage innocence and naivety. Vishnu and Marina were those amongst the group who suffered less in comparison to all the others here.
Elizabeth had been slightly distancing herself from Zeel, but she remained alongside Alice, perhaps they had even grown closer.
Alice and Zeel were on their own frequency, as they had both integrated with the nanites they could tell what the other was thinking even before it became a thought.
Their feelings had grown deep without compare, they rarely talked because it was not required for them to communicate. Sex between them had become akin to a drug so they had to refrain from sex until they figured out what had caused the phenomenon.
The feeling of losing yourself inside someone else was both terrifying and gratifying for both of them. Elizabeth grew jealous of the feeling they were experiencing but was unable to reach that point herself – she probably would have died since Zeel already took her to the peak of pleasure daily.
Any more pleasure would have caused her to ascend to heaven permanently.
Then the morning of departure came.
"Everyone set?" Alice inquired to which everyone nodded. She didn't want to leave a stone unturned that's why she convinced Zeel to give the group time off to tend to their own departures.
"Well, let's go," Zeel said as he dropped spec bombs on the ground that causing a mirror to form, dragging them into the Mirror Dimension before spitting them out on a spaceship in orbit.
"So that's what the spec bombs have come to? Transportation?" Alice asked since it was supposed to be a trump card of Zeel's.
Zeel nodded "I've made something better so this is the primary use right now,"

Puking noises could be heard before John asked "How do you do that anyway?"
"Physics basically, mirrorverse is tricky to navigate so I lace the bombs with a unique energy signature and lace all reflective surfaces I make with an opposite energy signature, so I can navigate pretty easy.
The hard part comes from entering the Mirror Dimension second layer and exiting at another location without experiencing any dissonance phenomenon," Zeel explained.
"In English, basically the more you use it, the more fucked up your brain becomes, so avoid reading stuff backward for the rest of your life, you have to calculate a lot so you enter and exit really quick," Alice explained since Zeel's explanations are always somewhat hard to understand and gave the others a feeling of being looked down upon.
"It'll be six months; you guys can choose to enter stasis or ride it out. Henri and the others are already awake getting their legacies under control before they interact with us since they were regular Loriens before," Zeel explained to which everyone agreed to wait out the journey and deepen their relationships with each other.
"Oh, keep in mind that this spaceship was built with the pinnacle technology of this Universe. That means that it comes with little to nothing in terms of functionality.
It can only make one trip to Lorien and back before breaking down. It only has redundant relay systems and anti-radiation properties," Zeel explained as he exited the room, "Basically, this is a huge metal coffin that can do some tricks,"
Twenty minutes later the ship orbiting the earth began its departure, creating wormholes to travel short distances every couple of hours. This was the method Zeel came up with that would allow them to beat Setrakus Ra to Lorien.
The main reason Zeel could only enter wormholes for brief periods of time was because of the possible time dilation effect, accompanied by temporal storms. Zeel could manipulate space through equations but time was much more delicate.
Both Alice and himself still had the lifespan of a mortal being which after being enhanced by the Z-virus became roughly 500 years. In a temporal storm, he could become twice that in an instant, so he opted for stability instead of speed.
"So after we're finished with this, where to next?" Alice asked looking forward to their next adventure.
"I am not sure; I am missing a few components for the dimensional storage ring which can be added to our Mbeamers. Right now, our Mbeamers can integrate technology and replicate it completely given enough spare nanites in our bodies.
We should be able to add a storage dimension when we reach Lorien as enough Loralite crystal essence can bond the Mirror dimension space to the ring, so we don't have to use already existing dimensions for anything other than the more dangerous experiments.
Then we'll need a form of navigator which we could more or less figure out; if the Felians did it, we can do it," Zeel replied confidently.
"That's not what I am asking, I read up on Project Quasar – so where are we going next?" Alice asked restating her question.
"We are heading to an expendable Universe, and before you ask I won't change my mind," Zeel said bluntly causing Alice to think for a while before nodding her head.
"Then after you have all of those things?" Alice asked raising an eyebrow not liking the feelings she was getting from Zeel.
Zeel smirked as he started drawing circles in the air "Then we evolve,"
The air trembling beneath his finger as it forms crystal models of Alice, Elizabeth, and himself, but with vague and indistinguishable characteristics.

Jalan Suram : The 100 Fire Holders
"Why us?" Still staring at the unusually stationary fire of the candle he was holding, Agung voiced the questions in our mind. "Out of 2 million people living in this city, why are we the chosen ones?" As if on cue, the eerie laughter of children could be heard above us. Holding our own candle tightly, we resolved to ignore them and continued our discussion. It was a matter of life or death after all. More than half of the initial participants had fallen and the building became more crowded as the result. There were now more ghosts than the living and each step was filled with danger from the unknown. Either we solved all the questions now or we would become another addition to the ghost camp. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There was one thing Novita found out after she accepted an invitation to a suspicious event from a seemingly legal company. Crowded didn't exactly mean safe. As more and more variables were added to the dangerous ritual, the higher the risk of death. At the same time, the higher the risk was, the better the rewards for it. But in the end, was it worth it? Note : This series was posted on scribblehub.com under the same name. The Beta Test
Our nameless narrator participates in a beta test for an early VRMMO game Meridian 60. That's not the real name but it captures the spirit of the adventure given the chronological and contextual era of the game. His character is unique and special but purely for mundane reasons and not because of any inherent or social significance. The first chapter which is mandatory to submit a story on RR serves as a bit of a prologue with some exposition, although I limited that to a reasonble level. I plan to begin releasing additional chapters starting Thursday, to align with the 48 hour submission approval process and also because I have something to do Wednesday. I haven't written anything but the summary and first chapter, nor have I plotted anything out. This is because my plan is to release roughly 34000 words a day, 10 chapters of ~12.5 pages each, for 3 days at which point the story will be complete. I'd have liked to plan for more but handling the interface tables and so forth needed for a data heavy litrpg slows down the writing process. 100k words is a bit short, a standard pre epic fantasy 300 page spec fic novel, but this is mostly a writing exercise and I am considering a longer project if I can maintain the pace. Probably do a different concept, maybe a dungeon core, over 5 days, since a 500 page novel is more common these days. Slight subversion of VRMMO stories Stat heavy/crunchy No paying your bills by gaming No out of game conspiracies No angst, interpersonal drama, or damsels/dudes in distress Schedule is 30000 words a day excepting the first chapter, a limitation of RRs fiction submission system Fantasy, high magic, male lead, no party, guild, or harem No gore, some profanity, no sexual content, and no current plans for anything traumatic
