《The Crawford's Multiverse of Madness》Chapter 288 - Keys To The House

"It was like a part of me was ripped away, but also restored at the same time," Lara said, lying on the couch that had become so awfully familiar to her.
It was a bitter-sweet feeling, talking about all the feelings you didn't possess with your psychiatrist.
While some things could be eternally forgotten, the mysteries of the mind were hard to phantom.
Lara's memories were even harder to phantom since she had vague glimpses of someone who everyone else had slowly forgotten.
Ever since returning from that island a couple of months ago, Lara's felt strangely normal and happy unlike never before.
What was so strange about that? Well, could anyone be truly happy in this world?
She found her father and got to say goodbye, she killed the man responsible for her father's death and inherited a unique family purpose.
There was nothing wrong with her life, but Lara still visited a certain Psychiatrist of her own accord.
Despite everything, Lara could not understand why she felt intense emotions bubbling below the surface, fighting to emerge once more.
There was happiness, love, but most of all, there was a craving unlike any other… a craving for something that brought her as much pain as it did release.
"Tell me about your date yesterday," The Psychiatrist, Dr. Malary, said flipping through certain files and taking notes.
It had been months since Dr. Malary started working with Lara.
At first, Dr. Malary thought nothing of it, until she was approached by a mysterious organization that promised money in exchange for helping Lara find answers.
While nothing could be found about Lara's missing memories through tangible proof, some people still recalled seeing her with someone called 'Zeel Crawford'.
Though, memories of such a person were quickly fading from the minds of all those who came in contact with him.
It was a unique phenomenon and this interested many parties across the world.
The only proof that existed of 'Zeel Crawford' was Lara's memories… memories that many governments had secretly shown an interest in obtaining, but none dared to move for some reason.
"I think something changed yesterday," Lara said, smiling gently as she remembered something.
"What happened?"
"I am not sure, but everything became sad for a moment,"
"What exactly triggered the sad feelings?" Dr. Malary asked.
Lara took a deep breath and began explaining.
"Being near males felt wrong the first two months, but the feeling slowly began to fade and I developed an attraction for an old friend named Bruce…

We have been on several dates, and things seemed to be going well… until"
"Until what?" Malaray asked curiously, closing the files and giving Lara her undivided attention.
"Until I realized that he didn't touch me … or I didn't allow him to touch me in all our dates. Even more strange was the fact that he didn't seem to mind.
We never held hands, we never kissed, we never did anything. It was like we always did those things in his mind, but never physically and I was fine with that.
Bruce was fine with that…
When I noticed this, I asked him to touch me and he looked confused…" Lara stated and Malary also came to a realization.
'Had I ever touched Lara?' Dr. Malary asked herself, and the answer was 'no!'.
From what she has come to know, nobody had touched Lara since she returned. This was appalling because Lara was never searched or interviewed at all.
It was like everyone was unconsciously avoiding coming in contact with Lara. Like she lived in a different dimension that coincided with this one.
Keeping her cool, Dr. Malary asked "What did you do about that?"
"Bruce touched my hand and I felt repulsed for a brief moment… but then something happened," Lara said.
"What happened?" Dr. Malary asked, excited to make progress after so many months.
Lara began to tremble, clutching her head as if keeping something bad from coming out.
"Lara focus!" Dr. Malary yelled, "Tell me what happened?"
Lara began to breathe roughly as she replied.
"Someone had their hands on my head, pushing me down as I slowly knelt… it was like he was guiding me to do some sort of honorable deed… and I wanted to kneel before him and please him…
Like I didn't have a choice in the matter at all. I needed to do my best or he would leave me. I felt degraded, angry, and repulsed…. I wanted to kill him for making me feel that way.
And my father watched it happen… watch his baby girl get on her knees to please a man that saw her as a random person on the street!?"
By the time she finished retelling the memory, Lara's eyes and ears were bleeding but she didn't seem to be in any pain.
Seeing that she was about to continue, Dr. Malary quickly jumped to Lara's side and calmed her down, wiping the blood with tissues.

Even if she was a paid participant, Dr. Malary was also a medical professional so she would never let her patients take things too far.
Taking a couple breaths of air, Lara raised her head and asked "What were we saying?"
Dr. Malary was surprised at first, but shook her head intensely to indicate 'nothing'. She may have been hallucinating, but Dr. Malary could swear that Lara's eyes turned slitted for a moment.
*Ring*
*Ring*
*Ring*
Suddenly, Lara heard a high-frequency ringing sound in the air that beckoned her. It was like the bell rung when the master of the house would call out to the working slaves.
"Lara, I have to tell you about this mysterious…"
"You should get out of here!" Lara said in a stern voice as she looked at Dr. Malary.
Lara walked over to the wall and pulled the fire alarm, hoping that everyone could clear the building as soon as possible.
"Something is coming… it's not dangerous, but one is hostile and they own me I think?" Lara whispered, not fully understanding what was going on.
She just felt the intense need to respect whatever or whoever was coming to see her. Lara exited the room and walked down the hall towards the elevator.
It was an instinctual reaction… there was no need to question gravity, it was just there and that was how Lara felt about this situation.
*Ding*
The elevator door opened up to reveal two unnaturally beautiful women that stood tall and confident – Alice and Elizabeth.
Lara felt her body tense up, becoming straighter than a ruler tied to the back of an English Royal Guard.
"What was that? It gave me shivers," Elizabeth asked, feeling a bit uncomfortable after hearing Alice's whistle.
"You shouldn't be affected," Alice stated confused as they walked out of the elevator.
They both ignored the tense Lara as if she was not worthy of their attention until they were ready to give it to her.
"It's Zeel's alpha-wave signature. He developed it back in The Resident Evil Universe as a way to call out to him when we were separated.
Zeel's body is naturally perfect and vibrates intermittently at different frequencies even without trying.
The particles emitted from such an action attach themselves to people he favors, unconsciously making them healthier if their species is weaker than his," Alice explained, but Elizabeth raised her hand to pause Alice.
"Any woman he sleeps with has to listen to you?" Elizabeth asked with a bit of envy "You have the keys to the house?"
Alice shrugged "Basically… Any woman he sleeps with… I can control them by whistling, but it shouldn't work on you,"
"Bu-" Elizabeth started but did not finish since her nose caught a whiff of something unique.
It was an intensely violent scent mixed with the mellow sensation of human weakness.
"KNEEL!" Elizabeth commanded.
*Puchi*
Lara suddenly fell to the ground kneeling, shattering the marble floors of her own building. The impact made blood spatter from her shredded knees, but Lara could only wince.
Alice had absolute control over Lara as the main wife, but Elizabeth could also exert some influence as the second wife.
Alice flashed with flames and stood in front of Elizabeth with admonishment on her face. Elizabeth was breathing heavily, clearly wanting to do more than just make Lara kneel.
"Control yourself!" Alice said with a heavy voice.
Lack of control could cause a gap in their mental barriers, and that would allow many prayers to assault their minds.
Elizabeth being angry would just hurt herself, so Alice decided to nip the problem in the bud.
"Breathe!" Alice said, holding Elizabeth in place.
Elizabeth took a deep breath to steady her complicated emotions. Truly, Elizabeth was never at risk of losing control, she just reacted instinctively after smelling Lara.
"Can you smell it?" Elizabeth asked irritatedly.
"Smell what?" Alice replied.
"An intensely violent scent mixed with the mellow sensation of human weakness," Elizabeth stated causing Alice to widen her eyes in surprise.
"Zeel's Draconic Energy inside her body," Alice said, staring at Lara.
Any human should be dead after coming in contact with even a fraction of Zeel's Draconic-Energy, but Lara had the weakened Energy coursing through her body.
"Does her like her?" Elizabeth asked through gritted teeth.
"No!" Alice replied, eyes flickering with code "He tried to take the energy back but missed some and it grew inside her,"
Alice was sure of this because Zeel would never put himself at risk for anyone. She could also feel traces of the extraction technique in Lara's body.
"Extract it… be thorough," Alice said to Elizabeth who was happy to oblige.
Elizabeth's Rainbow Divinity was best suited to purifying energies and affecting emotions.
