**********
Zeel and Ruri awakened in a void of darkness, floating on a slab of Earth that had survived the catastrophic explosion.
It was appalling to think that anything had survived an explosion that rivaled the collapse of a dwarf star.
Zeel's and Ruri's heads were so muddled that neither of them could make sense of what was happening around them.
They could hear nothing… see nothing… think nothing… feel nothing… and taste nothing.
The only thing that remained as they drifted in the void was their fragile consciousness that lingered in a state of limbo – between life and death.
One moment, they were nearing Death, and the next second, they were fighting against the pull of Death with strings of shadows aiding them.
As Zeel's and Ruri's minds grew clearer, they could also vaguely sense their surroundings but the void and dust particles in the air mostly blinded any insights they could have gained.
*snap*
Zeel was aware that his body was desperately trying to repair itself but his bones would just snap against his own hardened skin.
Zeel's and Ruri's soon regained absolute clarity; they didn't know how long it took but it felt like an eternity of pain, bone snapping, and back breakings.
Yet, their bodies had still not recovered at all.
"H – ho – how –" Zeel tried to speak only to realize that his mouth had all but disappeared from his face.
Not exactly disappeared… but more like his entire skin was melted by the blast and hardened by the cold void of darkness through which he now drifted half-consciously.
Using his mind, Zeel felt around his body a bit and quickly realized the problem – Ruri's body had basically melted into his body and their regeneration factors were conflicting.
Zeel's bones would harden and attempt to regenerate but Ruri's regeneration would occur at the same time causing their bones to mend together naturally.
By the time their bodies realized that a foreign structure was inside the skeletal system, their regeneration factors would soften the bones, break them down and try again from scratch.
It was an endless cycle of pain and torture but Zeel and Ruri were very tolerant since the feeling of pain was very nostalgic to them both.
How many ways of torture had they experienced during their time on the Nameless Planet? Ironically, this wasn't the first time their bodies were melted together… literally.
The last memory of what happened before they passed out made its way into Zeel's and Ruri's minds, shaking them so much that they instinctively pulled apart from each other.
There was an explosion, a feeling of desperation, a barrier cast to protect themselves but the explosion melted through the barrier and here they were – joined together at the hips… literally.
Zeel's and Ruri's resembled conjoined twins that were ripping themselves away from each other with no decorum whatsoever.
Ruri pulled herself away causing Zeel's insides to shift and tear, which also hurt Ruri because their organs had regenerated around each other.

Ruri could literally feel her skin digging its way into Zeel's organs to devour his blood and hasten her own regeneration.
She was an Akasha after all and Zeel's blood was especially effective for treating her wounds.
However, due to Ruri's close ties to Zeel's blood, Ruri's body had a hard time distinguishing where Ruri ended and Zeel began.
Ruri's mouth fully regenerated and she yelled "If we don't fucking pull apart now, we might be joined together permanently,"
Of course, she was exaggerating but it was better to rip the Band-Aid off fast instead of slowly and carefully.
"Do it!" Zeel replied, beaming his thoughts into Ruri's head since he couldn't speak without a mouth.
"[Shadow Travel]" Ruri muttered causing her shadow to rise out of the ground and rip her half-completed body away from Zeel's half-completed body.
"AAARGGGHHHHH!" Ruri and Zeel both yelled feeling the sensation of being ripped apart after being joined together.
Zeel rolled to the left, a blood trail following his movements.
Ruri exited her shadow a couple of feet away from Zeel and manipulated Zeel's blood trail into blood balls that she quickly consumed.
The duo laid side by side, writhing in pain as their regeneration slowly worked to recover the half of their bodies that were lost in the explosion.
"You know…" Zeel muttered when his mouth had fully regenerated "This isn't the first time we have been melted together…"
"Bahahahha," Ruri laughed happily as she nodded in agreement "I can't forget that time either… we fought the Fire Giants together and lost… just as we were about to die…
You came up with the brilliant idea of combining our healing factors so we were literally melted together under a Fire Giant's breath.
When our bodies healed together, the last place to heal was our hips and when everything was finished, you were inside me…
I lost my virginity with, technically, my own dick since you were a part of me at the time. After that… we just fucked since the deed was already done…"
"Hahaha… Gabriella went crazy after that…" Zeel added, laughing happily at the fact that he could now experience the happiness that accompanied some of his memories.
"Oh fuck!" Zeel muttered, turning his almost-healed body to Ruri and warning "You should run about now,"
Ruri shook her head in reply "I can't… my Shadow-Dimension Beads are all broken. I don't have any power anymore… anyway… how could I leave you alone?"
"I have my methods," Zeel replied, lying through his teeth.
Zeel focused his Divinities and opened a warp below Ruri's battered body and she slowly began to sink through space to another location in the Death Dimension.
"Protect Alice and Elizabeth," Zeel stated as Ruri was pulled into the warp and teleported away.
"It seems the Homo-Superior Race has developed a heart since I last heard of them," Seth whispered as he crawled out of the nearby darkness.
Seth had been there the entire time… watching and waiting for an opportunity to strike a decisive blow but Zeel didn't let down his guard at all.

Even when Zeel floated in the void unconsciously, Seth could feel that Zeel was even more dangerous since his body didn't have any filters or considerations.
A God without fear for consequences was a dangerous God so Seth waited until Zeel was partially recovered.
After all, Seth didn't want to murder Zeel when he was unconscious only to discover that Zeel had a bomb inside his body.
Most Homo-Superiors were that crazy and Seth believed Zeel was a bit more far-gone than the usual Homo-Superiors.
Seth glanced around the void in sadness, knowing that he had allowed a section of his Dimension to perish just to catch Zeel off-guard.
Further, in the distance, Seth could see a border designating where the void came to an end, and the wastelands of his dimension began.
"It was once so beautiful," Seth said sighing "But now a part of that beauty is gone,"
"I can finish the job of destroying it," Zeel replied seriously, pointing a finger at the wastelands in the distance and stuttering "[Thermonuclear Explo-]"
*Ching*
Zeel couldn't utter another word of defiance, Seth had teleported Zeel's tongue into his hands with utmost precision.
"Have anything else to say?" Seth asked evilly as he appeared directly beside Zeel's collapsed body.
Seth tossed Zeel's tongue onto the ground and smashed it beneath his hoofs with sadistic glee apparent on his face.
Zeel writhed on the ground, clamping his mouth shut as Death-Energy invaded his body from the location of his severed tongue.
Zeel felt as if someone was forcing dirt, grime, and darkness down his throat.
"AARrrrghhhh!" Zeel groaned as the Death-Energy burrowed itself into his newly formed Divine-Veins.
*ching*
With another flash from Seth, Zeel felt the fingers on his left hand lose all sensations of touch.
Then came the feeling of Death-Energy worming its way under his skin from the location of his severed fingers.
"I need to take a little off the top as well…" Seth muttered, grabbing Zeel by the hair and raising him into the air.
*rip*
*rip*
Both of Seth's hands each grabbed a lump of silver hair from Zeel's head and pulled strongly, leaving two bald patches alongside blood and bruises on Zeel's head.
Seth slammed Zeel into the ground causing the slab of land beneath their feet to fracture and scatter in different directions.
Zeel went through the rock and landed on another random slab of land floating in the void. The collision sent pain rippling throughout Zeel's body and anger overtook him.
[Lightning Manipulation]
Zeel charged his half-healed hands with lightning and threw it at the incoming Seth who was blasted away by Zeel's bolt.
[Warp]
Using the opportunity, Zeel warped across the barrier, exiting the void and entering the wasteland of the Death Dimension once more.
It would usually be stupid to leave an area where Seth had limited control to enter an area where he had absolute control, but Zeel needed to be in the Death Dimension for what he was about to do next.
Zeel laid defenselessly on the ground of the wasteland and concentrated his mind to locate one of the many Gravitational-Balls he had left in previous Universes.
Only one of those Gravitational-Balls could prove effective against Seth at the moment.
∞∞
Rakiel, King of The Energones, felt a massive disturbance originating from the Mirror Dimension of his Universe.
Rakiel transformed into Motion-Energy and crossed the Dimensional Barrier into the Mirror Dimension where he found one of Zeel's Gravitational-Balls.
Of course, Rakiel remembered granting Zeel permission to leave the ball behind but he was never clear about exactly what it was used for.
The Gravitational-Ball created a small gateway between Universes, sending massive amounts of Reverse Energy from The Energone's Mirror Dimension to wherever Zeel was located.
Rakiel flashed back across the Dimensional Barrier and once again sat on his throne with his family at his side.
"What was it, father?" Kella asked curiously.
"I think our friend Zeel will be returning very soon," Rakiel replied surely since he noticed the Gravitational-Ball in the Mirror-Dimension was reducing in size.
∞∞
Zeel quickly locked in the Universal Coordinates of the Gravitational-Ball he required and soon, a small gateway opened in the skies of Seth's Dimension.
The gateway was undetectably spewing out massive amounts of Reverse Energy – the only energy in the Universe that can reverse the properties of almost all other energies in existence.
"Fuck yes!" Zeel shouted in glee as he felt his true Divine Abilities recovering rapidly.
Zeel was mostly not able to hold his own against Seth because the Death Dimension suppressed him but the Reverse-Energy was slowly balancing the playing field.
All Energy that comes in contact with Reverse-Energy is converted to the opposite Energy. Hence, all the Death- Energy in the air was slowly being converted to Life-Energy.
*Bang*
Seth appeared darting through the void and launched a fist at Zeel's head. The fist was powerful enough to shatter mountains.
Seth felt the squishiness of flesh meet his fist and smiled in happiness at landing another blow on the pitiful Homo-Superior but his smile faded the next moment.
Seth felt a strong grip clench his fist, shattering his bones…
'Impossible,' Seth thought, knowing he should be invincible in his own Dimension.
*bang*
Seth felt his own mind enter a daze when a powerful attack impacted his head, sending a powerful shockwave propagating outwards.
Seth knelt due to dizziness and finally raised his head to witness Zeel standing above him charging up for another blow.
Seth raised his head even further to look at the strange energy that was seeping into his Dimension from a small gateway in the skies.
"What have you done?" Seth asked in a ghastly voice as he rose to his feet despite Zeel's best efforts to keep him down.
Zeel frowned since Seth wasn't really weakening and replied "I brought a little life into your Dimension,"

The Painter: A fantasy psych thriller and epic
*** June 21th Update ***- New chapters are being posted! I haven't figured out a schedule yet, but stay tuned!- Thank you to everyone who has read and reviewed, I'm happy to say The Painter is in the top 200 best-rated fictions. - Readers of The Painter have suggested reading through Chapter 6 before making a decision on this book.- The story takes place in the Lootverse, but you don't need a canonical understanding to appreciate the storyFinally, a warning or reader beware: This is not an action novel (despite the coming fight scene) but a slow-burn psychological thriller of sorts. For a time, the Painter's life was simple. He lived in the small town of Kinon (called Kinney by locals) with his wife, Kahriah and his son, Thesdon. The story begins with him alone and unable to travel more than a few hundred miles from his home. For 5 years he tried to chart his prison until one day a letter appears with a mysterious commission that will see him test his condition and his boundary. Set roughly 50 years before the impending end of days (from Loot canon), The Painter is a story about loss, grit, and exploration of a seemingly normal man in a world of magic and monsters. The Painter will follow the man on his adventure to restore his family, uncover his commissioners and discover the nature of his condition. Loot is the decentralized, global, community built fantasy world based on Dom Hoffman's art/tech experiment: Loot. Fun fact: The cover of our book is painted by the artist, who the MC is loosely based on and the same person painting the Banners (digitally) IRL for an art/worldbuilding project.

Sod's Law (Dropped)
This fiction has been dropped, you're more than welcome to read it anyway (there is sort of an ending). But you have been warned... Sod's law is a more extreme version of Murphy's law. While Murphy's law says that anything that can go wrong, will go wrong (eventually), Sod's law requires that it always goes wrong with the worst possible outcome. For example, concepts such as "bad fortune will be tailored to the individual" and "good fortune will occur in spite of the individual's actions" are sometimes given as examples of Sod's law in action. This would broaden Sod's law to a general sense of being "mocked by fate". In these aspects it is similar to some definitions of irony, particularly the irony of fate. - Definitions of Sod's Law on Wikipedia. The protagonist, as many before them, and many who followed, thought they were just entering a VRMMORPG (Virtual Reality Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing-Game). Unbeknownst to them however, was a short paragraph in the Terms & Conditions, that, upon agreement, would actually transport them to a fantasy world, loosely based on the game they thought they were entering. - Something anyone could be forgiven for, no-one reads them after all. In this new world, they discover that people are born with “Traits”, a System recognised, ability, skill, or talent, that they are born with. Sod's Law was not a trait they, or anyone else for that matter, would want. Pure madness follows. Yup, this is about a character transferred to a fantasy game-world with the worst luck imaginable. This is my first fiction so I apologise for any grammar and spelling mistakes that may be made. Hopefully it is readable, and if so please tell me! But if it's not, also tell me, but in a constructive way if at all possible? Due to the nature of the “Trait” the story will be dark in places, with plenty of gore and profanity, hence the tags. There may also be scenes of a sexual nature, but nothing full on – sorry guys but you'll have to go elsewhere for that.
