《The Crawford's Multiverse of Madness》Chapter 348 - Pretty Boy Mine
Advertisement
Alice and Elizabeth, who were under the care of Ella and Alle, jumped awake as if they had been shocked by millions of volts.
They looked around bewildered until codes flickered across their eyes, granting them a fresh reminder of the situation they were currently in.
Their bodies took a couple of minutes to adjust to moving around once again… every time they moved, they would spasm a bit from the surplus of energy running through their veins.
Though, coming back from death, in Elizabeth's case, and near-death, in Alice's case, was bound to leave a couple of nerves in a perpetual state of excitement.
Alice glanced at her lower body as she remembered being cut in half by Seth's scythe.
Elizabeth glanced between her breasts, noticing a half-healed scar from the location where Seth had pierced her heart.
Even now, she could feel her heart struggling to both beat and channel Divine Energy simultaneously as if struggling to pick one.
Alle and Ella retreated into their Ring Sword forms and attached themselves to Elizabeth's back for what Alice perceived to be some much-needed rest.
However, Alle and Ella could sense that Elizabeth's life force was dwindling away, so they entered their Ring Sword forms in the hopes of helping her contain the leaking life force.
Still, the moment Alle and Ella attached themselves to the straps on Elizabeth's back, they knew that they could do nothing to save her life.
What Elizabeth got was more time due to Lorien's presence in the Death Dimension, she was by no way resurrected.
It was akin to a warrior's adrenaline rush with a spear in his chest...
Lorien was just so strong that her mere presence kept Elizabeth's soul from disappearing.
Unlike Alice who was split in two by Seth, Elizabeth's Divine Cloud was almost entirely dispersed when she was pierced through the heart by Seth's scythe.
Anyone touched by Seth's, The Egyptian God of Death and Evil, Scythe would usually die immediately, but Alice and Elizabeth were linked to Zeel while also being Gods themselves.
Hence, Seth's scythe was unable to kill them immediately but a gradual curse would take effect the longer the battle raged on.
Alice was split in half and was dying but Lorien appeared, ridding Alice of the curse and granting her enough vitality to heal herself entirely.
However, Elizabeth was pierced through the heart – the location of her Divine Cloud.
Everyone entering Godhood had their Divine-Cloud in the most vital organ of their body.
In Zeel's case, his Divine-Cloud had always been inside his brain.
Elizabeth's Divine-Cloud had taken enough damage that she was barely considered a God anymore.
Seth's Scythe killed all mortals instantly, so the moment Elizabeth Divine-Cloud was damaged, she died without a doubt.
Thankfully, Zeel kept her soul present and Lorien's descent provided an influx of vitality to grant her a temporary new lease on life.

Elizabeth received an influx of vitality that pulled her back from mortal death but left her just barely teetering on the edge of Godhood.
Still, her body and mind were accustomed to Godhood so without Divine-Energy, there was no way for Elizabeth to contain the powerful life force she received from Lorien.
Luckily, it would take hours for all her received vitality to fade, and by then, Zeel would probably figure out something to do…
"What's this?" Elizabeth murmured, glancing at the '3%' that appeared inside her mind.
Alice frowned when she also noticed a '1%' floating in her mind.
Alice closed her eyes and exerted the Master Nanite Authority to gain information about the percentage, but she could barely glean any knowledge.
"It's an upload…" Alice whispered, secretly cursing the fact that even with Master Nanite access, she was not allowed access to all of Zeel's secrets.
Elizabeth spun around and was greeted by Himiko and Ahmanet still alive and well, though a little bit worse for wear.
"We should check out the battle…" Ahmanet whispered, slowly standing to her feet, unwilling to show weakness in front of Alice and Elizabeth.
Elizabeth smiled exhaustingly "What battle?" she mocked.
Alice sighed tiredly and smacked Elizabeth's buttocks with a little force "Zeel taught us that nothing is ever finished until it is finished… never let your guard down otherwise…"
------------------
On the other side of the Death Dimension, where Zeel was currently being stomped to death by Seth, a powerful shattering sound was heard as Seth's Death Dimension was ripped in half by an entity forcing entry.
Lorien in her full, pure-white, glory floated down to the ground with a curious gaze that encompassed the entirety of Seth's Dimension.
It had been thousands of years since she even explored her own Universe, much less travel to an entirely new one, so Lorien wanted to take in all the sights like a dedicated tourist.
Zeel finally had a chance to relax at the sight of Lorien.
Everything he had done, said, or ignored was all leading up to this exact moment – The moment he could summon Lorien into battle.
Yet, he would need to give her a reason to kill Seth for him.
Seth also seemed to realize the danger as his foot froze just moments away from crushing Zeel's head.
Seth even had the impulse to brush Zeel's clothing free of any dust and roll out a red carpet to avoid anger from Lorien.
Lorien floated to the ground until she stood next to Zeel and curiously asked "Pretty…Boy?"
Zeel frowned at the way she addressed him, but he wasn't someone who could not follow the flow of a conversation, even if it was with a Cosmic Force.
Others may struggle to understand Lorien, but the Universal Language of Babel was applicable to all entities across the Multiverse.

Zeel grabbed a bit more dirt from the ground and smudged it on his face, then pointed at Seth viciously "Not pretty anymore because he did this to my face…"
Lorien's eyes contracted…
'Her Pretty Boy was not pretty anymore?' She thought angrily and then looked at Seth 'And it was because of this ugly goat-looking thing with a long mouth?'
"Pretty… Boy… Mine!" Lorien shouted, her voice causing another bit of Seth's Dimension to fracture.
"Yes, yes… Pretty…" Seth almost vomited when saying 'Pretty' but he continued "… yours… all yours…"
Lorien nodded a bit pleased that Seth acknowledged her claim, but she still couldn't let him off.
"Bad… man… smudge… face…" Lorien lectured Seth similar to what she did with John, only she clapped her hands together at the end of the lecture.
Seth's body exploded, sending flesh, blood, and guts flying in every direction, dying everywhere, but Lorien's and Zeel's bodies, in red.
"Thanks…" Zeel groaned, struggling to his feet.
Lorien blushed with Zeel's words, not because she exactly understood what he meant but because his nanite-clothing stopped regenerating a long time ago, causing a lot of skin to show.
While Lorien wouldn't bat an eye at seeing naked men and women, Zeel was a different story.
Humans to Lorien were bacteria, and there was no such thing as a naked bacterium, but Zeel was like an interesting book in her eyes, a very graphic book – you brush it, you take care of it, and you put it on a shelf.
"But you know-" Zeel gestured to the land beneath his feet.
That was all Lorien needed to understand what Zeel meant… she may have killed the body of Seth but he wouldn't really die until the entire Death Dimension was no more.
After all, A God was their Dimension…
"[Purify]" Lorien whispered, causing white flames to erupt from all over the Death Dimension, earning shrieks and wails from Seth's consciousness that was planning to hide.
Zeel sighed as his muscle's loosened… while things were not yet fully completed, all that was left now was to wait until Seth had been burned to ash, or for some other hindrance to appear.
Either way, Lorien would deal with it.
Zeel scanned his body with the nanites and noted that his Divine-Energy had been depleted, while a number of his Homo-Superior Techniques have disappeared from existence.
The thing that hurt him the most was the fact that all the Gravitational-Balls on his person had been wiped from existence with the disappearance of his armor.
'The Absolute really is no joke…' Zeel thought sadly.
He originally estimated it would take the Absolute hours to wipe anything Homo-Superior from existence, but it only took minutes to complete the task, forcing Zeel to use more techniques than he would have liked.
A couple of minutes later, Alice and Elizabeth appeared in front of Zeel along with Himiko and Ahmanet close behind.
Alice didn't even bother with the small talk, she simply walked in front of Zeel and put her head against his own, absorbing all his recent memories, thoughts, and experiences.
Usually, she appreciated kisses and hugs since such actions were considered humanly-intimate, but at times like these, Alice preferred to stop playing human and go for the more intimate Homo-Superior approach of mind-melding.
Alice sighed in contentment when she felt her mind inside of Zeel's and within seconds, she withdrew her mind with all the information she required.
Elizabeth also sighed with contentment at the aftertaste of Alice's and Zeel's mind-melding.
While she preferred to experience the sensation herself, Elizabeth knew that Alice would share all the necessary information with her instantly.
… and Alice did…
Elizabeth received an influx of memories, thoughts, and experiences that contained everything except the moment Alice said she would break up with Zeel should Elizabeth die.
Alice had carefully chosen to forfeit such information knowing Elizabeth's hot-headedness.
Processing everything, Alice realized an issue "These memories still don't tell us what these percentages are…" she complained.
Alice's percentage was now at '10%', while Elizabeth was already '15%'…. Zeel checked his own and noticed a measly '4%'.
"Stage 4 Nanites Upgrade… When it gets to '100%', it means you and Elizabeth have a +1 Life like those antiquated games of your Home Worlds…" Zeel explained disdainfully.
"You mean like Mario Cart?" Alice asked jokingly.
Elizabeth shook her head mockingly "He means Donkey Kong…"
Seeing Zeel confused by the references, Alice and Elizabeth smirked while simultaneously exclaiming "He means Pacman…"
"Shut the fuck up!" Zeel shouted annoyed.
If there was anything a Homo-Superior hated, it was discussing old things with primitive people. Alice and Elizabeth used that tactic to get under Zeel's skin whenever they could.
'Almost fifteen years apart and these women are still children!' Zeel cursed internally, wondering if he should try to kill them again, but there would be no do-overs given his Alternate Timeline Technique had disappeared from existence.
Also, he wasn't even mad at the girls anymore… if anything, he was relieved that they were both alive, even if Elizabeth was slowly dying…
As long as the upload is finished, she would be as good as new… maybe even better.

A Spirit Vein's Guide to Immortality
TL;DR Synopsis: Man dies from falling banana, gets interrogated but answers vaguely, suffers consequences Actual synopsis: Spirit veins. Many consider them to be the pillar on which the world of cultivation is built. These things served as the foundation for the first few realms that would allow humanity to achieve its everlasting dream of immortality. However, in the present age, these pockets of condensed energy only exist to be under the foundations of massive organizations, fostering a new generation of fighters while passively radiating the energy they contain. Nevertheless, spirit veins are still an important element in the world of cultivation, albeit much less so. With that in mind, have you ever considered what it would be like for someone to turn into a spirit vein? No? Well, Arthur never thought about it either. Going through the usual reincarnation schtick (if one could consider it usual), Arthur was eventually brought into a place where a god asked him where he would like to be reborn. Unsurprisingly, Arthur told the god his ideal rebirth. However, soon enough, he would come to realize that he should have been more specific with it. Now being reborn as the smallest spirit vein, or if you could even consider him a spirit vein, Arthur wondered what he could do other than wait for time to consume him…and that’s where the system came in. With it, he would experience multiple stories of hardships, adventure, romance, and action…all underground. Unless…? Do keep in mind that English is not my first language, so I would like to apologize in advance if there are any grammatical errors, typos, miscalculations and so on. In fact, I'd highly appreciate it if you tell me those mistakes. Also, this story focuses quite a lot on the gradual progression of the MC at the beginning, but in the long run, upgrading sprees would probably be more common. Thanks for reading this small note! MANTIS: On Hiatus
Two young adults who were childhood friends are killed amidst a pandemic worse than our own. After many years apart, Rihelah was on her way to see Michael, hoping to rekindle their friendship on the day they would both lose their lives. The pair are unwittingly selected to represent Earth in a test set forth by godlike beings who are intrigued that our world gave rise to complex life without having been intentionally seeded by their kind. Michael and Rihelah are reincarnated as predatory insects upon a distant planet called Edon. Elves, Dwarves, Dragons and their kin, Goblins, Ogres, Humans, Lizardfolk, Orcs, and sapient arthropods known as Enkelyn all inhabit this beautiful world touched by magic. The tiny mantids must survive terrified and very much alone upon arrival, while neither is aware that the other has also been reincarnated upon the same island. Naked in their new chitinous exoskeletons, they must now brave the terrors of an alien world's food chain. Each will benefit from their years of experience on Earth, but they must somehow find a balance between old lives and new. Moderate mindsets and peaceful values from a mostly safe and privileged life on Earth must now contend and somehow coexist with the strange physiology of a new and unfamiliar body as well as the violent aggressiveness of a predator's mind. To top things off, the pair are about to find themselves struggling with their inner turmoil while swept up by terrible conflicts they know nothing about. Both endure the hardships of their new lives while attempting to understand and make proper use of a mysterious and terse video-game-like System that pops status notifications into their vision from time to time, but initially has no useful interface. Some of the options they are presented with sound enticing, but as with everything else in life, each choice has benefits and drawbacks... Author's Note: This story makes many changes to the original version, and readers of Mantid will find that many things in Mantis are new and different; especially after the first few chapters. I've learned a ton from writing like a madman, and also from the RR community. I appreciate you guys! :)

The Cosmic and the Fair
When magic comes crashing into the world, humans are swept away. When they come trickling back, they are changed. Many of them have been transformed into elves, dwarves, trolls... and now one succubus. Magic is wondrous, dangerous, and inextricably linked to all living things. But succubi have to take it from other people, and for a succubus dropped far away from any communities big enough to sustain her, that's a problem. Luckily for Persephone Evans, she's got help. She has a fancy unique class and a companion. But both gifts come with strings attached, and why did she have to teach the succubus on her shoulder what 'consent' means? This is my first story! Note: The prologue differs wildly in tone from the rest of the story. I'm playing it safe on the tags. I don't think the story really deserves the profanity or gore content warnings, but the main character does swear and get hurt. That said, the main character is a succubus. Sexual content is a given.
