《Ancient Adventurer Return》God’s bracelet

« Wait, wait, wait ! Are you telling me that you don't own a God Bracelet ?! That's like something absolutely everyone has.....Oh no ! Let me guess...You lost the one you had ? » Asked Yama. Bora kept his head low to make Yama think he was feeling embarassed and nodded . Yama sighed and gestured his secretary to go fetch one. He then smirked and coughed to get Bora's attention.
« You know God's bracelet are quite expensive, sooo.... » Said Yama, waiting for Bora to complete his sentence, the greed in his eyes stronger than ever.
« *Sigh* Okay, okay, I'll sell my items to you. But I will do it only after I get some stock. I don't have much for now. » Said Bora, which seemed to greatly satisfy Yama. However Bora was grinning inside. Afterall Yama thought that he had coaxed Bora into selling his items to the guild by giving him a god bracelet, he didn't know that Bora had nowhere else to sell his items. As such Yama will try to keep Bora at any cost, while Bora would act as if he was forced. It was a technique that Bora used many times when he was younger, a technique that Norus had taught him.
« Well since we have some time before my secretary comes back, I think we should talk about a little something. The Djinn. » Said Yama.
« What do you want to say about her ? She's just my companion. » Said Bora. Hearing this Yama chuckled, but he suddenly turned around and threw a punch at Bora that stopped mere inches away from his face. The punch had been so fast, Bora didn't even understand what happened.
« Friend or.....Slave ? » Asked Yama glaring at Bora who was now confused.

« Slave ? What are you talking about ? Oh, wait....Now I remember. There are some people who uses other races as slaves because the laws of most countries can't protect them. Well I assure you she's just my companion. » Said Bora. Yama glared at him one last time before he removed his fist and chuckled.
« Good, I would really hate to do business with one of those trashes. » Said Yama as he went back to his seat.
Yama and Bora then talked about this and that while waiting for the secretary, and when he came back, Bora immediately put the bracelet on his wrist. And under his dazed eyes, the bracelet was activated.

After reading all of this Bora finally understood why those bracelets were so important. They were just so damn useful. Seeing Bora's dazed look Yama chuckled, he had seen this look hundred of times, and it was still hilarious. What was even more hilarious was the fact that Yama could clearly see that Bora didn't lose his God Bracelet, he never had one.

« *Cough* Well since I've got another bracelet, I'll go back to my hotel room. I'll come back when I have enough items. » Said Bora as he stood up and left the room. After he left, Yama and his secretary stood silent for a moment before Yama glanced at the elf.
« So ? What did you see with your talent ? Anything interesting ? » Asked Yama as the elf nodded.
« His stats were quite average except for his high agility. His mana stat is really low, I don't know if it's because of his reserve or power. However there is one thing that caught my eye. For race the bracelet has shown human and question marks. » Said the elf as Yama suddenly stood up, his body stiff.
« Questions marks ? So he's either a noble demon, an unknown or a demi-god. What do you think ? » Asked Yama.
« I would say unknown. If he was a demi-god or a Noble Demon I wouldn't have been able to see his stats. The Gods did say that there were a lot of creatures they didn't know. Or maybe he is a ... » Said the elf as Yama suddenly grabbed him and glared at him.
« I refuse to let you say that ! You are quite young so you weren't there when the accident happened in France. I refuse to acknowledge the existence of those things. » Said Yama before he let go of the elf. Said elf bowed and hurriedly left the office while Yama sat down behind his desk.
His eyes were drawn to a certain picture that was on said desk. A picture that showed a younger Yama hugging two people. A cloaked man who smiled while pushing Yama away, and an extremely beautiful woman who was glaring at Yama.
Yama sighed as he turned the picture and read what was written on it's back.
« To my friends Yama and Mirai.—Norus »

... And My Skillet
A long time ago, a child was born under the great blue sky. Many a Dwarf grumbled at the auspicious event, tugging furtively at their beards at this ill omen. A year later as the expedition had begun digging into the virgin hills of their new home, the grumbling of the doughty mountain people rose to a disbelieving furor when the yearling passed over the ritual offerings that would determine his lot in life. Instead, the as of yet unnamed child crawled over to a skillet fresh out of the fire and begun picking at the rock bread, unconcerned with the heat. Shouts turned into laughter, frowns lifted into craggy smiles. Upon placing a handful of the bread into his mouth, the infant’s face grew so grim and stony not even the eldest of the present Dwarves could match him. There was a durable ore within this babe, of that the Lore Keeper was sure. Yumly Ironhand was thus named, the beginning of his great tale immortalized on the rune walls of his clan’s history. “It’s pronounced Yoom Lee and no, rock bread isn’t a misnomer.”

Journey of Infinite Steps
Science Fiction/ Low fantasy Iliad. Oliver just wanted a job that could keep his family fed, and himself sane. Was that so much to ask for? Apparently. As he instead ends up facing monsters and dodging his way to another world instead. Competent as he views himself figuring out how to reopen a portal back home by himself is defiantly above his knowledge base. Of coarse it would be vastly simpler if he could keep 'getting back home' as his primary goal. 'Staying alive' is unfortunately a far more immediate and relevant goal. I will post any content warnings on a Per Chapter basis. Divisive content will be as skip-able as I can reasonably manage Discord Link will be available for those interested in assisting editing/ coauthoring. Especially character writers/those willing to work out the math/ economies and world building even if only as a wall to bounce ideas off of.-----Full Synapsis contains serious spoilers----- Looking to take care of his family, Oliver finds himself flung into a faraway place. Try as he might, his Iliad will not be simple or peaceful as he'd like. Alas the slow and unending war of Chaos and Order has long memories and longer reach. If Oliver is to make his way back home it looks like He'll have to solve the universe one fight and mystery at a time. Especially as the Laws of Physics shift, often on a per world basis. Hopefully there is still a home to come back to.
