《Goblin Kingdom》Taming, Berserk

Alom looked at the wolves, at this time, they had already noticed him. All of them were growling to him, even the scared babies. He pointed his spear toward the females in order to intimidate them, a useless attempt; All of the females charged at once, running ferociously at him.
'I can't hurt them' he thought. When all of them reached a one-meter distance, Alom quickly jumped as high as he could, as he was a strong Armon and a very strong one at that, he managed to jump over the females, leaving them disoriented as they bit and slashed the air. Our Armon didn't lose time and used this split second to hit the nape of one wolf with the hilt of his spear, knocking it out.
'One done, 3 more to go.' All 3 wolves left were enraged, but this time they used their high intelligence to not attack in a disorganized way as they did the first time. They approached slowly, growling and waiting for the best moment to attack; One of them at the middle took the initiative and quickly tried to slash at him, but was blocked by his spear. The others didn't lose time and used this opportunity to jump at him from both sides, but they were stopped by a left-foot kick and a right-hand hook aiming for the belly; When the attacks hit the other wolves, the middle one had already recovered and charged at him, managing to make him fall to the ground. It climbed on him and aimed two slashes, one with each front paw, at his face but he managed to block, crossing his hands on an X-shape.
The other wolves went toward his legs and bit them, making him scream madly.
AAAAAAAAARRRHHHHHHH! he couldn't endure it anymore, and with one more shout, he released all of the rage from the pain and the fighting.
''ENOUGH!!" When he shouted, a strange, red energy started to emanate from him, and his eyes went red. His fur turned red too, and his face distorted.

Alom immediately felt way stronger and didn't hesitate to quickly punch the face of the wolf in front of his face, making it fly and only stop when hitting the wall. The other two still kept biting his legs, so he kicked the air with all his strength, making them forcefully release him, and launching them to hit the cave ceiling. Alom immediately ran at the wolf unconscious in the wall to finish it in a frenzy, but the first wolf he had knocked out woke up and jumped at his back. Our crazy Armon immediately grabbed the wolf's neck with his right hand and raised it in the air in front of him.
Something strange, savage and wild seemed to have taken control of his body, but at the same time, he sensed something. He sensed the feelings of the wolves, their ''thoughts'', instincts. It seemed this 'berserk' form gave him an ability to act, fight, and even communicate with beasts. This feeling distracted his crazy self for a bit, enough for him to take control again, and stop his frenzy. Alom's fur turned white again, his face turned back to normal and the energies stopped emanating. He felt extremely tired, but he still had something to do.
Alom used the last of his energies to try to use the energy, as this was the best time to try and control this new form of his. A fruitless effort, but he still could sense something inside of him budging.
Two hours later, he woke up. He was dead tired, but luckily, still conscious enough to remember where he was, he quickly got up and looked at his surroundings. He looked at the wolves, still unconscious, and down to his spear that he had dropped in the fight. Alom grabbed the spear and sat down, spear in lap while closing his eyes.
'I have to recover, and try to control this strange power' Alom thought.
One, two, three, four hours recovering and trying to sense the berserk energy, but no results. Our Armon needed to try another method.

'Think, Alom, think... How did I do that? I just remember... being extremely angry, frustrated with losing the fight, and... that's it! Anger! Battle! Frustration! That's what made that berserk state happen. But how can I control all of these?' He spent one more hour meditating.
After that hour, something seemed to startle him and he got up. The wolves were waking up! Adrenaline rushed through his bestial body, and he remembered.
'So that's how! I just need to push myself to my limits, and when my survival instinct appears, I need to keep focused.'
The wolf stuck in the wall was the first to wake up, afraid of even looking at Alom. It looks like that form scared them shitless, so the wolves wouldn't be of help when activating his berserk form.
Alom hesitantly grabbed his spear tight and pointed it at himself. He stabbed his own arm, giving him a big pain, but still not enough. He pulled the spear out with another shout, and stabbed his right leg.
'AAAAAAAAH!' He shouted, closing his eyes. The conscious wolf used this opportunity to charge at him, but when it saw his eyes opening, he stopped. They were red! The wolf stopped in place, scared, afraid. This time, Alom wasn't emanating an energy as strong as before, neither was his face distorted, but his fur still turned slightly red, as he looked serious as if something was fighting with him from inside. Indeed, Alom was fighting the berserk instinct, trying to control his senses.
A few seconds later, he managed to control communication.
'Can you understand me?' Alom said, mentally.
'What? a mere rabbit-man understands my language?' Our wolf was very confused.
'Yes, and I'm not a rabbit-man, I'm an Armon. So now that you can understand me, how did you get your intelligence? This level of understanding and learning, you are almost a human.'
'I don't know. We just saw this strange stone and licked some runes in it. When we did so, we started to change and become stronger, smarter. That's it'
Our Armon finally understood. From the way it looked, this stone contained runes that had the same effect as the human magic that made the Armon smarter. This explained a lot.
'to go straight to the subject, I fought with you to prove one point: I am stronger than you. And if you don't want to stay here and die to some humans that you probably have already noticed in the surroundings. What do you say?'
'Yes, we noticed the humans. We used to have a small territory and a big pack, but these damned humans attacked us, reducing us to this size and hiding in this cave. We can follow you, but just under the condition that we are free while we aren't doing anything, we can hunt, come and go as we please and raise our own cubs' The wolf seemed hesitant to give her freedom away like this, but it was not like she had another option.
'I can agree to that, but if you try to go against our tribe, I can assure you will all die. My tribe has someone stronger than me!'
The wolf looked a bit scared and nodded.
'By the way, what's your name?'
'I don't have such a thing as a name, but when we communicate, it seems I will need one... let's se... Hunter! That's a good name'
'Not at all.' Alom facepalmed as he heard that, and suggested 'How about Ruth?'
'That seems good, I will go with Ruth'
'Okay, So I am Alom.'
With all settled, it was time to bring some builders of the tribe and make a little settlement here. It wouldn't be wise to take the wolves away from the cave, as they would be away from their power source, hindering their growth.

Magic-Farming
A thought experiment gone out of control, inspired by kosnik4's popular story, Magic-Smithing. What would life be like for someone else who was transported to the world inside Magic-Smithing? Someone who wasn't as prone to encounter incresasingly dangerous people, whose life was a little less chaotic? What if this person was content with a simple life of farming? Tending to the plants, sowing seeds, and reaping a great harvest at the end of the year. Of course, he's also a data scientist, so he can't help but squeeze out the maximum possible efficiency of his time and the potential of his attributes. Who doesn't make excel spreadsheets in their spare time? This is a slightly more "Slice of Life" esque version of kosnik4's story. Hopefully lighthearted, funny, and as enjoyable to read as it is thinking of increasingly ridiculous skill progressions. Thanks to kosnik4 and Magic-Smithing for providing fertile grounds for creativity to thrive. NOTE: THIS IS A FAN FICTION, AND ALL INTELLECTUAL RIGHTS BELONG TO KOSNIK4. I'm a patron of his story, and love reading about what happens next in his story. I've tried my best to be as accurate to his canon science as possible, though it's not 100% feasible. Afterall, the story isn't even done yet! My plan for the releases is to release a single chapter a day until 3/7, and then release 4 chapters a week on M, W, F, & Sat. P.S. If anyone can figure out what the EXACT formula for Level XP is, I'd love to hear it. I'm starting to doubt my math and excel capabilities. I have an equation that is fairly accurate and stays close to his values, but not exactly the same.
