《Searcher》Chapter 19: Tobin

A familiar, shrill sound woke me from my drunken stupor. I looked around the room, noticing the shabby decor. Dust motes floated in the beams of sunlight shining through the threadbare curtains. Still groggy from sleep, it took me several seconds to regain my bearings and silence the shrieking alarm. My aching back and the lumpy mattress confirmed the suspicion that I was not in my luxurious king sized bed but, instead, in a one star, roadside motel. I was used to being out on the road and roughing it. Owen, the Boy Scout, would disagree, but I’ve spent enough nights on the floor in The Guard. The mattress felt like I was sleeping in the dirt, again. Probably tasted like it too. I didn’t need anything fancy to plan mass destruction or, more appropriately, the capture and killing of Felix. After I questioned him, of course. But next time, I would inquire about the age of the mattresses before booking a room at the Bates Motel.
Holding my pounding head, I lumbered across the room to the small bathroom. While I was anxious to check on Jade, the alert I set up to notify me when she was online hadn’t gone off yet. She’s probably still sleeping, I thought as I turned on the faucet and let the water run. Good. She needs her rest. I uncapped my toothpaste and squeezed the middle of the tube, depositing a blob on the bristles. My morning breath was giving the stench of the room a run for its money. No one was around to be subjected to it, and I really didn’t care if they were, but out of habit, I gave my pearly whites a good scrubbing.
After freshening up and throwing on some clothes, I grabbed my laptop and looked around for a place to set up a workstation. The room was strangely lacking a horizontal plane I could use as a desk or table. Judging by the scuffs and holes in the walls, I surmised the management must have gotten tired of replacing broken tables and chairs, since there weren’t any in the room. Oh, well. The lumpy bed will have to do. I stacked the pillows up and made a makeshift, if tipsy, table of sorts. It wobbled precariously. I figured that if I stayed still, the laptop wouldn’t topple. Unfortunately, that made typing difficult. I’d just have to hold the damn thing on my lap like a caveman.
Again, I found myself thinking about Jade as I turned on the laptop. It was annoying how much control she exerted over me without even knowing it. I missed being around her, even if all I ever did was grumble and growl at her. She was my home, my bright light in this cold world. I was Jadesick, alone in this shitty room. Jadesick sounded right. It was homesick without the designation of a permanent structure. Only the presence or absence of Jade was important to me anyway. I didn’t care where we were. I just wanted to be close to her.

I sent Owen a quick email with my status and whereabouts. Unable to keep myself from inquiring about Jade or reminding him to give her the equipment, I emphasized the need for safety and left explicit instructions that Jade wasn’t to contact anyone. We needed to keep her whereabouts underwraps for the time being. That included her website. She had to close it, whether she liked it or not. I didn’t think Jade’s customers were a threat since I had been watching her online transactions with them for awhile, but I wasn’t taking any chances either.
With the email delivered, I set about logging in to forums frequented by mercenaries looking for jobs. I reasoned Felix had to use one of them. A dog’s gotta eat. That reminded me, I was getting hungry, but I wanted to look through one last message board before going to get something to eat.
A high pitched ping came from my phone. Before leaving the safe house, I had mirrored my phone and laptop to the devices I left for Jade, and set an alert to notify me when they were being used. She’s online. I couldn’t wait to see what she was doing, forum and stomach be damned. I’ll eat later. Missing one meal wouldn’t be the end of the world anyway. I quickly logged out of the forums, and opened the spyware I had installed. What are you doing Jade?
The program accessed the microphone and camera, showing me Jade’s forlorn face staring at the screen. I reached out to stroke her cheek, tracing the soft curvature of her jawline on my display. Owen was in the background somewhere, telling Jade to close her website. Good. He’s following orders. I watched as she typed on the keyboard, her screen shared with mine. The words Closed for Vacation weren’t exactly what I meant, but it would work. As long as she stayed off the site until I determined it was safe. I went into the settings and changed her password, just in case.
She wouldn’t know I did it unless she tried to log on, and that would be something I would have to take care of. I don’t like being blatantly disobeyed. That would merit a punishment of some sort. Maybe a barehanded spanking? My pants grew tight at the thought of bending Jade over my lap, having her count each swat aloud as my hand made impact with her bare asscheek. My fingertips brushing her wet lips proving that she secretly enjoyed the pain. Enjoyed being bad and getting punished. My naughty, naughty girl.

A barely audible sob came through the speakers, shattering my dream and breaking my heart. Anxious to soothe her pain, I grabbed my phone and messaged Owen. He should be in the kitchen from what he told Jade. I sent a simple, direct text to Owen, telling him to take care of Jade. She was feeling all kinds of emotions I needed him to handle. Wanting to watch Jade some more and continue fantasizing, I followed the text up with another telling him to leave her laptop open.
I placed the laptop on the stack of pillows, and leaned back against the headboard. Jade closed her eyes, and I could see the anguish on her face. Frustrated at Owen for taking so long, I fought the urge to message him again. Finally, I saw Owen on the screen move the table out of the way and reposition the laptop. Jade looked confused when Owen knelt down in front of her. My eyes widened, watching him spread her legs. What’s the fucker up to?
I stared at the screen, feeling myself respond like a school boy watching porn for the first time. Only, this wasn’t porn. This was my best friend, and Jade. My mate! Jealousy surged through me, only tempered by my bulging erection. I wanted her. I fumbled with my belt. I needed her. I undid my fly, freeing myself and relieving the pressure. I slid out of my jeans, pushing the denim down over my thighs while watching the back of Owen’s head descend between Jade’s legs. The angle of the camera was bad, and barely captured any of the action. I figured it wouldn’t hurt to rub one out before going after Felix. Fuck it.
I closed my eyes, and focused on the sounds coming from the speakers. Sharp inhales and moans found my hand wrapping around my shaft, and stroking it up and down in rhythm with Jade's breaths. I rubbed the bead of precum over the head, and used it as lubrication. Sliding my hand up and down the silky steel length of my cock, I watched the screen, focusing on Jade’s face. Her beautifully expressive face. I imagined it was her I was buried in. Her warm walls squeezing me as I pulled out slowly, teasing her only to plunge back in again. My long length hitting her in the right place, and making her gasp. It was me making her arch her back against the seat cushions. My hand pumped faster as I envisioned it was me she was begging not to stop. I was on top of her. I felt her clench around my shaft, milking it with her muscles. I was fucking her. I was making her scream my name. My hips jerked up forcibly, fucking my hand in Jade’s place, jostling the bed and the pyramid of pillows.
Crash!
“FUCK!”
The laptop fell from the top of the pillows, effectively ending my manual rendezvous. I was pulled back to reality before I could finish.
“Goddamn motherfucking shitty ass fucking piece of shit!”
I kicked the pillows in anger, and got up to rescue the fallen laptop. The screen was still in one piece, thankfully. I had sprung for the military grade model since I haul it around in my bag all the time. I doubted the old carpet in this motel had much cushion left under it to soften the fall. The laptop was lucky. Unfortunately, I was not.
I set the laptop down, and watched Owen and Jade cuddling on the couch in post orgasm bliss. Well, Jade was in post orgasm bliss. I couldn’t believe I missed the ending. I didn’t get to see her face when she came. Did she grab his head? Did she squirt all over the couch? What the fuck happened?
“Fuck!”
It’s not like I can rewind, or send Owen a text. Time for round two. Encore motherfucker. No, I was stuck with a raging hard on, and nothing but my hand to relieve it. How the fuck does Owen do it? He was just cuddling her on the couch with no thought of his own needs. He’s gotta have blue-balls for sure. Just thinking about that made my balls hurt. Sexually frustrated, I stripped out of the rest of my clothes, and headed to the bathroom to take care of myself. Now, I know I’m like the damn school boy watching porn for the first time. At Least, I can finish up in the shower and don’t have to use all of mommy's tissues and hand lotion in the process.
