Silence...dead silence...
The Princess starts to tear up.
CRAP!! I'M SO TACTLESS!!!
The man who I still can't understand rushes over to the Princess and appears to be trying to console her. She slowly stops crying and faintly smiles. The man then glares at me with an angry face and stomps over to me.
Huh? He appears to be trying to lecture me. What's he saying? Whatever, let's eat him. That should shut him up. I shoot my head down at a lightning-fasr speed and open my mouth.
"STOOOOOPPP!!!"
The Princess screams at me to stop, and surprisingly, I do! It's not like I had a choice in the matter, she's my master now after all. Damn it. Huh, the man seems to be in shock. Well, I can understand why: even the bravest human would be terrified if he was about to be eaten by a massive Basilisk which suddenly stops, mouth still wide open. Heh...maybe I should've thought things through some more...
I then noticed that Princess Alyssa was giving off a terrifying aura.
I kid you not, I was TERRIFIED! If she decided to, she could kill me and I wouldn't be able to bat an eyelid at her! Man, for someone who is trying to become fear, I probably seem quite pathetic right now!
Oh, it appears that I forgot to mention my goal. I decided that after I kill those 4 "heroes" I will ascend and become the embodiment of fear for all sentient races. That will be my ultimate revenge! MWAHAHAHAHA!!!
*Ahem* Back to the present...
"WHY DID YOU ATTACK HIM?!?!"
"He was annoying."
"THAT'S NOT A VALID REASON TO ATTACK HIM!!!"
"Ummm...who is he anyway? I can't understand anything anyone says apart from you."

Princess Alyssa suddenly has a look of surprise on her face, which turns into a look of dawning comprehension.
"Huh? That explains a lot. To answer your question, he's my best friend, and the heir to one of the 4 most prestigious noble families in the Kingdom of Acreeda!"
"Oh? And which family is he from?"
"His name is William Heptic, descended from one of the 4 great heroes themselves!!"
Heptic, 4 great heroes....THAT BASTARD!!!!
In my rage, I begin to give off incredible amounts of killing intent, the combined pressure from both my lives and all the lives in Limbo that I absorbed. Cracks form in the walls and Alyssa and William are forced on their knees, unable to speak.
RRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!
Princess Alyssa tried to speak to me through telepathy.
"Fear! What's wrong?!"
I stop roaring out of rage and look down towards Alyssa, who looks away in order to not get killed by my gaze.
Suddenly, there is an incredibly loud rumbling noise. The doors burst open and guards begin to pour into the room. They are all wearing armor with the royal crest on it and they are all wielding spears. Seeing me, they point their spears towards me and began to attack. Suddenly, a voice screams at them.
"STOP!!! THAT IS MY FAMILIAR!!!"
This voice, of course, belonged to Princess Alyssa. Even if she is called the "Failure Princess" she's still a royalty and technically the guards' boss.
The guards, hearing her voice, immediately stop attacking and stare at her and me in shock.
I suddenly hear a familiar mechanical voice!
CONGRATULATIONS! YOU HAVE FULFILLED ALMOST ALL THE NECESSARY REQUIREMENTS FOR EVOLUTION! ONCE YOU REACH LEVEL 1,000 YOU WILL RECEIVE YOUR EVOLUTION PATH OPTIONS!
YOU HAVE LEARNED THE HUMAN LANGUAGE.

"My deepest apologies for attacking your familiar, Princess! We were unaware that you had formed a contract with it and made it your familiar! We thought a monster had somehow infiltrated the castle!"
"Hmph, just don't do it again. YOU ARE ALL DISMISSED!!"
"YES MA'AM!!"
I watched as the guards left the room. One of them accidentally looked into my eyes. Needless to say, he fell over, dead. The guards were shocked at the fact that I was a basilisk! HAHAHAHAHA FEAR ME FOR I AM FEAR!!!
...That was a terrible joke...
