《Tartarus- A Prison Odyssey》B3 Prologue- Legacy

Cyclops wasn’t sure what to feel about what was happening currently.
“Wow, so you’re Cyclops huh, I heard about your predecessor, he was an old drunk guy, but you’re not drunk, and you’re not old, but you have the metal arms like he does, that’s so cool, all I got was weird computer knowledge and some other boosts.” The girl who was one of the two that grabbed him yesterday spoke a huge amount at once… too much for the shier Cyclops.
“Dryad, let the boy rest, he’s been a Chained for all of one day! Sorry about that Cyclops, Dryad’s just a bit excitable at times, where she gets it from, I have no idea.” On the other hand, the darker-skinned man in the suit with the smooth voice was trying to be helpful at all times, preparing tea, making food, cleaning, and trying to reassure Cyclops that he was okay…
Trying was the operative term… Cyclops was not reassured at all.
“Who are you people, and why did you drag me here?” Cyclops finally got a word in, having been too tired and relieved to be away from the guards to even care that these two strangers were dragging him to a house…
Cyclops belatedly realized that he was probably one of those people who got kidnapped easily…
“Oh, my apologies, I actually forgot… well, in case you didn’t hear me mention it a moment ago, this... bubbly... girl is Dryad, a member of the Pantheon.” The man gestured to the girl with a gloved hand, she responded with a wave…
Cyclops had never seen such strangely glowing blue eyes…
“As for myself, I am Manticore, one of the leaders of the Pantheon, and we are Chained, enhanced humans like you.” Cyclops looked between the two before narrowing his eyes.

“…Okay… so what is the Pantheon?” Cyclops asked again and Manticore was left to palm his face.
“I’m really off my game, again, sorry, I’m just quite glad to meet you. The Pantheon is a gathering of Greek-based Chained like the three of us, along with normal humans who wish to assist of course, led by the man known as Odysseus.” Manticore tried to explain further, getting cut off by Dryad.
“Yeah, boss Odysseus is cool! Not as cool as boss Typhon or boss Echidna, but boss Odysseus does all these awesome things like it’s nothing!” Dryad said with a squeal as she fell back onto the bed she was sitting on…
To remind, Dryad looked older than Cyclops, she was not a little girl sitting on the bed.
And judging by the size of her lungs-er, cutting off the train of thought that agreed with the girl not being young, Cyclops looked back to Manticore to explain more.
“Those are two more leaders of the Pantheon… anyway the Pantheon is one of three gatherings of Chained, along with the Ars Goetia and the Fourth Kingdom.” Cyclops listened to the names with narrowed eyes.
“…Why ‘fourth Kingdom’ when there are only three groups?” Cyclops asked a reasonable question, leaving Manticore to sigh and nod in agreement.
“We all asked the same thing, it had something to do with how their leader ‘did not obey the other three’ or something.” Manticore waved that off in a moment.
“Anyway, these three are collectively known as the Key. We got a bit off track there, but we mainly wanted to let you know that the Pantheon will gladly welcome you and help you figure out Tartarus… not to mention that Odysseus would love to meet you.” Manticore said, getting a suspicious look from the younger Chained.

“Why? Just because my name is Greek?” Cyclops was readily connecting the sound of this group to gangs, and not liking the similarities… forced recruitment?
“Of course not, it’s because-” once more, Manticore was interrupted by Dryad who sat up with a smile, pointing straight at Cyclops.
“It’s because the Cyclops before you was one of the founders of the Pantheon!” Dryad shouted like she was the one who had all the answers to the questions…
“…Wait, I’m not the first Cyclops?” Cyclops found himself asking in worry, earning a nod from Manticore, as well as a smile.
“No, you are not… we wish to know you are safe, and to provide you with your legacy as a Cyclops.” Cyclops found himself curious.
Curiosity killed the cat though…

Rise
20 years have passed since the Chaos Energy Quake rippled through the Milky Way Galaxy. During the year-long Quake, Chaos Energy became unusable, rendering much of the galaxy’s technology useless, and preventing Chaotics – beings who possess supernatural abilities – from using their powers. The galaxy has since moved on from the Quake, but to this day no one knows what could have caused it. The only broadly possible hints lie with the woefully few Chaotics born during the Quake, such as the seven Chaotics born on the world of Nimalia, homeworld of the Nimalian Territories. The other galactic civilizations see little correlation between the Quake and those born during it, but now that the seven have reached the age of 20, some Nimalians think they may be able to finally learn exactly what caused the galactic disruption two decades ago…

It was then did John use a dark magic that did he got them out of that situation. But in exchange for the princess's safety, John Sarvod was exiled from A'vetheas for using 'demon magic'. What will he do after the life he knew was uprooted and taken away from him? Will the 'demon magic' that caused his exile from the Elven Tribe bring him into a slow descent into madness? Book 2 description: Having found a life for himself outside of A'vetheas, a family, enrolled to a good school, and a potential romantic partner, John Sarvod continues on with his life the best he could, carrying himself forward, until... He messes it all up again. This time, however, it isn't because of his magic. It was by his own demerit. What is the cause of despair? Find out in Consignor Book 2. Old description (Without spoiler) John Sarvod, user of the most powerful healing spell [Heal], the rare ability to heal and recover all injuries, is the only human that lives in the Elven Tribe. Though he was gifted with [Heal], he could not cast any magic other than his one and only [Heal]. Aside from his current training to become a royal scribe, he is known to all elves as the ‘Healer of A’vetheas’ and had gained a certain amount of respect from them due to how much he works. But life for him in the Elven Tribe, A’vetheas wasn't never always like this. Because he was human, and that the Elves have isolated themselves from the outside world, his presence initially was not welcomed by the elves that thinks highly of him today. It was all thanks to the Elven Queen who brought him in, and the Elven Princess, Raina Valindra Eridi, that he could reach this day. But things changed when the Raina that he so adored used the teleportation device for a small date with him, where they met with danger that the [Heal] that he relied all this time could not save him from… In his desperate attempts to save Raina, John ended up committing a taboo of the elves. As for his punishment when he returned to A’vetheas? That was just the beginning of him, continuing the path that he had inevitably taken prior to the life he had before he lived in A’vetheas. This is a story of a not too average person end up becoming something that he could have never imagined. A monster? A demon? A god? Only time will tell. It is just a matter of time that John Sarvod would embrace his true self. Content Warning because I want to have flexibility, and maybe it gets overwhelming at times. I have a backlog already, this story won't be dropped. Edited: romance tag to action tag, story has more or less of both, but yeah. There's slice of life tagged in because my story progresses not too quickly (by my opinion) I like to take things slow, I suppose. :3
