In just a couple of seconds, thousands of people were eaten. Even the guards and adventurers were not ready.
Yuusha shouted, and charged to the unknown Mahikero, he knew that his opponent was a Master but he didn't care. Light fluctuated on his surroundings and his hair and eyes transformed.
"You beast!!!"
He screamed, he released the technique that he learned, the Aura Blade flew but a boulder of rock blocked it.
Shucan, the Earth Mahikero, was shocked that Yuusha's attacked was powerful. The blade almost cut his shield.
"So the Empire had a talented man like you. I thought the young men of this country were weak…… "
Shucan said, he only knew three young persons who had unbelievable strength. Vincent was already dead so it's only two.
He looked at the Palace, the people were in confusion. His plan succeeded, he smiled because his ally infiltrated the place.
"Kid, you're too young. I advise you to not participate, the Empire will die but we would not kill the people…… well we won't kill all of them. After all, we need to spread terror."
Shucan shrugged, he found that what he talked about was ironic. He just killed thousands, so he didn't have the credibility. Anyway, he's the type who didn't want to kill talented children. He wanted them to become strong so that it's worthy and satisfying when he kills them.
Yuusha was angry, he couldn't believe that the people that he saw living earlier were now dead. He wanted to kill Shucan, he ran and faced the Master.
"Oi oi, it's bad not to listen to the elderly. We have enough experience to say that what you're doing is suicidal. "
Shucan kicked his tongue, the kid was not listening. Earth Spikes dart unto him. Yuusha smashed the rocks, his hands bled but he let it be. He knew that his body would heal in an hour.

Shucan realized that his opponent was a crazy person. He received all of his attacks and he didn't back down. Just to get close to Shucan, Yuusha sacrificed his body.
The Mahikero was now serious, the plan was to immediately escape after completing his mission but he didn't do it. He wanted to see how far could this man go.
'Kids this day, they always love to dive in dangerous things. They don't give importance to their lives.'
He thought, he saw many young men like him dying. He remembered the face of Vincent, he met that child when he traveled to their kingdom. The man was the embodiment of talent, he was disappointed that the man died before even reaching the pinnacle.
"Since you want a fight, I'll give it to you."
The ground begun to shake, sands appeared and covered the area. Yuusha felt that he was in a desert.
This was the Tribulation Path that Shucan chose, his main arsenal was these suffocating sands. The Tribulation of Sands, a Bloodline Uniqueness.
*Baam!!*
The sands formed into a big hand and struck him. Yuusha flew into the wall and he coughed blood. His breathing was erratic and he couldn't move his body.
Shucan "tch tch" and shook his head. He was not an ordinary Master, his Tribulation Path was an ability he inherited from his predecessors, it's his Bloodline. In fact, he was stronger than Jaraina if you compare them in terms of elemental strength.
He didn't glance, he left the place without killing Yuusha. He could see that he had talent. Since his mission was over, he walked away leaving the desolate place.
"Hm, I guess my work was done. I think I'll leave this place. It's enough that I show them my participation."

He sighed, he knew the power of the behemoth of the Capital. The Emperor was the true meaning of omnipotent and the Guild Master was a warmonger.
" I'm confused why that Aquila is still alive. Based on his ability, his Contract should be related to his life."
Shucan said he recalled how Aquila reigned the battlefield. He looked in the direction of the land where Jaraina made the True Calling of Name. He could sense the lingering power of the Goddess of Light.
"It seems that the Goddess is serious about destroying the Capital.……"
He was curious about it but he quickly erased the thoughts. It's dangerous to examine the agenda of the Deity. He didn't want the Temple of Light to knock on his door. Yet, he could see that this place would become a living hell.
"I think I need to return to my country, I miss my house … my back was aching because of too much moving."
He said, making excuses. He didn't want to fight the Emperor nor the Temple.
……………………
Teresa and Katie's little rest was disturbed when they heard the steps of the Knights.
Eye bugs were visible beneath their eyes. They didn't sleep last night because of the two explosions. They were afraid, hiding in this vacant room. The Palace was big and the rooms were enough to accommodate all of them, but no one was brave to sleep.
The males were busy talking about the incident and they didn't have the time to pacify them. The females were the most agitated right now because they were not accustomed to this kind of stuff.
Teresa saw the Knights running outside the Palace, just like her, Katie was staring at them. It looked like another incident happened.
Their faces were stressed, they couldn't believe that the peaceful Capital would turn like this.
Since Teresa and Katie couldn't sleep, they decided to go to the kitchen. Their stomach was urging them to eat.
They go out and saw Prince Julian and Princess Aria talking. Teresa didn't have the strength to mock the Princess that's why she quickly bow and left. However, her friend, Katie was staring at Aria.
Aria felt her gaze and irritatedly asked. Christopher was sleeping in the other room and she didn't want any person to disturb him. His life was not in danger but he needs rest.
"What is it?"
"P- Princess, this humble one is asking if you see Christopher……"
Katie last saw Christopher rumbled by Knights, his head was bleeding and he was in pain. Katie was not clear at that time and she didn't dare to defend him. Yet, now, she forced herself to speak.
Julian decided to answer her question.
"Christopher was fine, he is resting right now. "
"T- then, can I visit him?"
"No."
Aria butt in, she scoffed and left them. She denied Katie's worriedness. She went to Christopher's room and closed it.
Katie, Teresa, and Julian were left on the pathway.

46 Year Old Syndrome
The daily Litrpg journal of a fairly average 46 year old man in a world where hundreds of thousands of people suddenly have a super power.Follow him as he learns skills, runs away a lot, suffers crippling headaches, avoids reading his titles, and tries to avoid breaking his body that didn't get enough calcium and vegetables.[Disclaimer 1: Despite the following, I will fix any typos pointed out. This is a writing exercise so chapters are mostly first drafts, otherwise I'd end up rewriting each chapter for a month or more with no real changes. My goals are a steady output by not using perfectionism as a procrastination method. I've already got laziness and additions to reading/games, I don't need a 3rd reason to procrastinate.][Disclaimer 2: The main character is a more normalized version of me, with 170% less laziness installed, and a few buffs like greater courage. Other things like having a job are partially similar. No other characters are based on real people because most people I know are either too normal to be useful or too fucked in the head to be believable.]
