Chapter 11: New Game+ and Preparation 1

I feel cheated. The amount of coins that i spend on the man for the information is barely scratch it. Nevertheless , I cannot do anything on an empty stomach. The empty dining hall slowly started to filled up with customers. Most of them are merchants and nobles. Although one can easily discern their identity if they look hard enough, I can easily find such information using . Ignoring the stares directed at me, I quickly go where Fiona and Silver sitted.

“ Master, did you find what you need?”, question Silver. Seeing that there are hint of concern flashes in her eyes, I patted her silvery hair. Her face quickly smile soon after that,drowning the worrying eyes.

“ I wonder, by the way Fiona, there are some nobles in this hall, would it be possible to ask for their help?”

“ No, regrettably not many people knew my face. Even if I do have the pendent that prove my identity, the nobles might not believe it.” answered Fiona.

A savory aroma reaches our table soon after. The identity of the appetizing aroma seems to be a steak dressed with rosemary and butter. At first glance, you might think that the cook cooked it with only with salt and pepper with rosemary, but the sweet aroma seem to come from simmering the steak with local wine. If i’m not mistaken, the wine is called, “ White Rose.”

Seeing that the steak is going to our table, Silver’s legs are swinging back and forward and she also humming to an unidentified song in joy.

“ Here you go young lady.” said the burly cook who’s I conveniently called Boss dishing out the steak toward Silver.Then he added, “ And for the other lady, here is your Imperial Special Breakfast.”

The Imperial Special Breakfast consist of two freshly toasted bread, scrambled egg with honey, warm jam on a pot and a bowl of assorted fruits. Truly a breakfast befitting someone who come from a palace. As for the drink, both of them seems to be having a cup of juice.

“ How bout you lad?”

“Um, anything light should be fine with me. Do you have any recommendation?”

“ Well, you can have our porridge with smoked Tiger Salmon and a glass of ale.”

If i’m not mistaken, Tiger Salmon is the fish that can be found in the nearby river.

“ Then, i’ll have that.”

“Be right back then,hahahaha.”, the Boss laugh as he retreated back to the kitchen.

“ So what are you going to do now Cage?”

The powerlessness can be heard from the Fiona voice,it seems like she’s scared of the uncertainty in our journey.

“ Well for now, I need to get weapon, armor and carriage to get us out from this place, my current weapon won’t cut it.” Based on the information I currently have, we have to get out from this place in three, no two days.

If I’m not mistaken, there should be a weapon and armor shop just around the corner. I should be able to find something that suit us there.

Soon after, Boss came back with a bowl of piping hot porridge and a mug of ale. The appetizing aroma rose from the bowl, inducing hunger. The porridge are made from wheat seasons with salt and smoked tiger salmon. The smoky and flaky taste of salmon compliment well with the porridge. Truly a dance of flavor. Soft and flaky.

This dishes is perfect for those who loses their appetite.

“ This porridge is delicious.”

Just when I compliment the porridge, Silver’s ribbons perk up and she stare at my spoon. Do you want some Silver? I thought you just have you steak for breakfast.

“ Master.”

Silver opened her mouth beckoning me to feed her the porridge. Losing to the adorableness, I feed her the porridge. Is this how it feel to have your own daughter?

Soon after, Fiona who seem to have a sense of rivalry from Silver also opened her mouth, begging to be feed. But it seems like she must be embarrassed because her cheeks are flushes.

Without leaving her hanging, I feed her the porridge.

“ Delicious..”, muttered her small voice, someone might not hear it if they didn’t strain their ears.

“ Well after breakfast, let's go to the weapon shop.”

“Aye Sir.”

“Okay.”

Well, eating breakfast in peace before doing job is the best after all.
