In an instant, the screen and glow disappeared the two bystanders didn't even notice they appeared at all. But they did notice that while they were consulting each other Josh had suddenly gotten up from the bed.
"OH MY GOD JOSH!!" cried the women that Josh recognized as Jenifer
"what happened?" question Josh as he got up on his feet
"Um... you were stabbed and now you seem to be infected with a genetic disorder, But how are you walking?" questioned the nurse as she was the first to notice his new look
"um that doesn't answer my question I know I was stabbed but how am I alive and why do I feel so Good!!!"
"Um... Josh, you have white hair and red eyes... WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON NURSE WHAT DID YOU DO!!!" Jenifer stated blaming the nurse
"Nothing I swear," said the nurse defensively
"I need a mirror" Josh said not believing the two as he walked over to the mirror in the corner. What stared back at him was not the same blank brown eyes and messy brown hair but a muscular body, white hair, and red eyes. Josh looked like he was about to faint when a white and golden envelope appeared out of nowhere in front of Josh, that was written out to Josh.
"where did you get that Josh?" Jeniffer stated when she noticed the envelope still with a shocked face that seemed to get worse when she saw the envelope.
"Um... what the fuck," Josh said when the envelope seemed to glow when he touched the seal.
"that's the same envelope from the night we found you," Jenifer muttered under her breath
"why have you never given me this" Josh stated agitated seeming to have heard Jeniffer

"we thought it was dangerous whenever we tried to open it would burn us so much that we had to go to the infirmary but the envelope never caught fire so we thought that it was too dangerous to give you" Jenifer stated in a concerned voice seemed to have finally recovered from the shock
Josh started to open up the envelope and nothing happened it just slid open and in the envelope was a letter seeming to have been made out of pure gold
To Jericho
Josh if you are reading this then you have survived up until you got your traits. I must tell you that you are not human but a godling named Jericho, not Josh. you are the first godling of this world I sent you away to this world to become powerful and test this world's people. The area you are in is the traitless. an area every world that people without traits live. I probably should explain to you traits since you wouldn't know about them here since the people hate them. They are powers that everyone outside of the traitless gets after becoming 16 they come with great abilities called skills that do tremendous things but none are as powerful as the godling traits. After you finish reading this message your god aura will be released, I suggest you leave the traitless area immediately.
Sincerely
The Patron God
Gillius
Good Luck Son!!!
"so... seems I'm not human" Josh tried to lighten the mood
"what do you mean," Jeniffer asked
"ill just leave you two alone" The nurse backed away to the door then ran
"seems I'm some sort of godchild" Josh stated questioning
"fine don't tell me but what's with the white hair and red eyes?" Jeniffer asked
"seems that's my trait" Josh stated cockily "oh and seems my real name is Jericho, I like it call me that," Josh said happily

"ok slow down how did you open that letter and WHO THE FUCK IS JERICHO" Jeniffer seemed annoyed
"it just opened and this is a letter from my dad and he said my birth name was Jericho" Jericho (Josh) stated
"I give up... But you have a trait... OH MY GOD YOU HAVE A TRAIT!!! you need to leave like now" Jeniffer stated in a hurry dragging Jericho back to the orphanage
"why do I have to leave," Jericho asked when they got to the orphanage while Jeniffer ransacked his room to pack
"I'll explain this once I'm done run and don't come back you hear me, leave the city and go find other people with traits, traits are outlawed by the church they can sense some sort of energy that people with traits give off they home on it immediately and kill them once they are found, people aren't created equal to the church, only a few people get traits here and when they do they overpower leaders or something and the church wants to keep its power so they hunt them down but we are only 1 area of the world that believes in this the rest of area is ruled by people with traits, seems they have higher trait rates than people here I think but back to the problem you need to leave like now!!!" Jeniffer stated out of breath
-is she insane?-
just then a giant bang can be heard at the front door, seems the church has found Jericho.
"you need to leave now!!!" Jeniffer says in a hurry as she almost pushes him out the window
"follow our secret path that I showed you in case of an emergency" Jeniffer pleaded
Jericho followed what he was told he jumped out the window onto the railing and he started climbing when he got to the top of the building he noticed the 10 figures charging into the orphanage in suits of armor with a cross on it.
"what the fuck?" Jericho questioned to himself as he remembered for some reason he had to go he started jumping from building to building until he was out of the city and he ran and ran until he made it to the wilderness of a forest then he just collapsed and screamed
"WHAT THE FUCK!!!"

A Prose of Years
For decades, spiritualist Evert Kallstrom and his team have joined in humanity’s millennia-long fight against the beasts. Wielding their weapons and their ki, they fought and killed these great threats to civilization. And yet, despite their efforts, humanity was losing traction in the war. In the last fifty years alone, more cities had been overrun than in all of known history. While most thought the great beasts natural, a few knew the terrible truth. They were the product of a dark lord, who desired neither fame nor wealth nor power. Instead, his sole purpose was the genocide of humanity. While their peers dithered, a small faction of the strongest mankind had to offer—including Evert Kallstrom and his team—set out towards the Deadlands to find and confront this dark lord. After weeks of travel, twenty-one spiritualists found themselves approaching an ancient fortress wherein rested a being known only as the Eastern Guardian. All they found was death. But death has other plans for Evert. Evert bolts awake in his 16 year old body near his hometown, decades in the past. He is confused, poor and weak. But with grit, sweat, and years of experience, he won't let the future repeat itself. That level of strength won't be enough by itself (it wasn’t last time) and victory is hardly assured (he’ll need to reach farther and higher than he ever did), but Evert refuses to squander a second chance. [Other tags: First Person POV, Hard Magic, Faulty Memory] Volume 1 is complete and has been fully released. My current intention is not to write any sequel volumes. That said, I have also released appendices (SPOILERS) that cover the worldbuilding and future story-that-never-was. Comments suggesting fixes for grammar, misspellings, etc. appreciated. Note: If you came here from Candlelit Lives, these stories have nothing in common.
