Roland smiled to himself as he watched kitty practice. The girl had protested the sparing and exercises, though he had a suspicious feeling that was an act. The training had payed off though as the girl sparred against one of the veteran goblins. She wasn't winning but she lasted longer then expected.
It reminded him of....blood.... war. He struggled as images of carnage,a thousand goblins charging at a fleeing army. It took him a second to get his bearings as he grimaced at the images. They were memories, his to be exact, but still memories that had haunted his every waking day.
He tugged at his ears as a comfort. Feeling the hidden pieces of earrings. They were a powerful artifact that allowed one to hide a single thing. Roland brought up his screen to be sure. hidden from sight, and something only roland could see. A secret he had kept for many years.
[ War chief] Level 87.

In the same country a woman in a white dress adorned with the images of skulls smiled. She was at a ball, but Duchess Karen cared little for such things. What she looked forward too was the noble's attempt to kill her. But that would not be for months now.
She had lived a long time, and always was bemused how many would call things evil but then justify doing the same. The nobles discussed their attempted Coup, sure they may call it a civil war. But the reality was simple. Greedy nobles who wanted to place a puppet king on the throne.
She eyed the supposed child unimpressed. She hated arrogant twats like the boy, and the nobility as well. She wanted to kill them, but she needed them.
After all, civil wars were wonderful means of gaining undead. The nobility simply saw her as a powerful necromancer creating Skeleton knights for their use. But each of her undead had a little... trick.... that would be sure to strike fear in all.

There was a speaker now, talking about the coming peace, and other lies and deceits. Oh sure the people in the room lapped it up, maybe the speaker even believed what he said.
But the Duchess of Death was never going to let the war end.

Miles away in the ruins of a once feared kingdom sat a sleeping [Alchemist]. The ruins where old and ancient. What was once a grand city had become a place of nightmares. The streets where filled with dust and decay. Rotted wood and dirt were all that where left of once luxurious homes.
Covering the land where odd pale creatures, thier flesh tight to thier bodies. Thier faces had no eyes, nose or mouth. They each stood in old worn magical circles. Once mages would come by and make sure the seal where still working. That hadn't happend in years.
They were the immortal legion. Creatures that could never die. And they all stired as one. They moved to the wreckage of a castle. The walls were full of holes many pieces of it sat in ruins. Moss having covered the entire structure.
The immortals cared not. They knelt as their king awoke.
..................
In the northern lands of lightning sat the domain of Victor Riles. A land no man or monster would ever dare enter. The place was full of odd creatures. Beast of pure flesh thier cube like bodies skulking about as if hoping to find prey.
The trees were made of scales not bark, and where branches would be stood many rows of mouths and teeth. Catkin and drakekin wandered about. These were not the civilized kind though, their minds were broken. They were of the original breed. Creatures that existed for none other then the killing of prey.
In a home made of mixture of fleshy floors and walls made of eyes lived Victor, as he experimented with a new species of slimes he had created. He checked a cooled storage container for materials, and groaned in frustration. His augmented body hidden by shadows, but in the light offered by small candle creatures, one could see the moving writhing nature of his skin.

Victor sighed, he would need to have his armies collect more.... material. He slammed the cooler that once was filled with hearts of rare beasts, the bodies of men and women. And many other useful biological material.
It had been over a hundred years since the last time he needed more materials.
...........
Loki smiled as he noticed some of the old monsters begin to act. While he could only have 1 chosen. The rules did not stop him from having minnions. Even if they weren't aware of it. He watched the 2 old ones that had not yet been ready. One the father of his chosen, the other a dark mage of great power.
He was excited for the chaos that would soon ensue, for each one was someone who had once brought their world to its knees. Oh this was going to be so much fun!

Dungeon Maker
Ace Cross is not your typical NEET, although he has all the making of one and is recluse, he is still a very outdoor type of person. One day he is killed (by a truck no less even after dodging off the road) his soul was going to white light in the sky (the sun) but before he could arrive a magical circle appears and he is pulled in and given a second chance at life in a magical world under the most cliche trope of anime, as a summoned hero. He isn't 'the' hero though, he got the most uncommon hero class and something that has been extinct in all the nations blocking the advance of the demon lord. That is the Dungeon Maker. As a very unusual class that makes not only death traps but proper dungeons with ecosystems, this is the life of humanities first dungeon maker in 1,000 years since the demon lord war began. This is not just a story of battling the demon lord but also of how our heroes making a new life force themselves as all of them died in their original worlds.

This is my first story to ever be posted. As I am an amateur writer, there shall be mistakes. More so with the fact that English is not my first language. This story is a re-write, and its original version was a request by a dear friend of mine. Though hopefully this version would be far better.. As the original version was a very cringe worthy thing. Many thanks to certain friends that have convinced me to post this. I shall do my best to at least update frequently, without sacrificing the.. quality of chapters. Tags will be added as the story goes on. || Disclaimer: Much of the chapters before Chapter Twelve are of poorer quality in terms of Grammar. So do forgive me for them, by Chapter Twelve and beyond however, the quality of the chapters should have had improved. I'm hopefully gonna fix most of the earlier chapters when I hit Chapter Twenty or Thirty.

A Fragmented Mind
"Hi there. My name is Richard Maddox, but my — admittedly nonexistent — friends call me Rick. I live in a world of superheroes and villains. A world filled with magic and physics-defying powers, and in this world, I'm just an ordinary, completely average 17-year-old boy. My imaginary friends, however, are as far from average as you get. You think you're good at deluding yourself? Well, stand back, because it's time for a master to show you his craft. Welcome to my life, the life of a madman." This story was originally inspired by the 'Legion' novella series written by Brandon Sanderson. If you've read those books and liked them, it might be worth giving this a read. The same goes if you haven't read them either, I guess. (Currently re-writing earlier chapters)

All mortals, human, dwarves, elves and the other races living on Escana, they are consigned to live inside that living hell from the moment of their birth. It should be just another unspectacular round of The Reign of Chaos.
