《Im a Kobold, So what》Chapter 28 Conan the Lycanthrope

Disgust filled me as I stared at the dying Lycanthrope. A tear runs down from the other Lycanthrope's face. "He has been my friend since childhood and we've been together for a long time". He shakes his head in sorrow. "If only the healers did their job maybe he would live". I know I have high-level healing magic but since I'm not a healer class restoring entire limbs is out of my league.
[Let me see him]. Laying the injured Lycanthrope on the table. "What are you planning on doing". [Trying to save him].
(Skill Activated: Greater Heal)
The open wounds slowly closed as his breathing steadied. "Will he be okay"? The Lycanthrope who was carrying him asked me. [Don't know]. "Wait what"? [Said I don't know if he will be alright]. "AREN'T YOU A HEALER"!? [No I'm a monster with no medical training I don't know what you were excpecting I just know a bit of healing magic]. His face was filled with feelings of hopelessness and despair. [I wouldn't worry though the wounds have closed so he isn't going to get worse but I don't know how long he will be out for]. "How long do you think it will be".
I put my fingers on my chin contemplating the question. [If I have to guess an exact time if say... A long time]. "DOESNT HELP"! [Look I'm sure he will be fine my name is Crimson]. "I'm Conan and my friend's name is Kan thank you for your help". [It's not a problem I'm just pissed at these humans and their attitude towards me]. "Oh, so your that Kobold people are talking about". [Wait what]? "Oh, you didn't know people have started calling you the raging child or temper tantrum". I froze and gave a deep long stare at him. He showed no signs of joking. [Is that really what people are calling me]? "Yeah but we monsters have been calling you Freak of Nature".I curled up into a ball in the corner. "Uhm are you alright"? [Give me a minute I need to contemplate my life].

I sit in the corner for a couple minutes thinking about the insulting nicknames I've been given.
(Title Acquired: Raging Child)
(Title Acquired: Freak of Nature)
I could just imagine the god of titles laughing his ass off. "Hey, it's your turn again". Conan puts a hand on my shoulder as I jump a little. [DONT STARTLE ME LIKE THAT]? "Heh sorry sorry but you should get going". [Right thanks Conan]. I head for the stage and as I approach I could hear the booing which made me a little depressed. However, in all the booing, I could hear cheering. Cheering from other monsters although it was drowned out I could still hear it.
It made me feel... Happy? I had a warm feeling as I heard those drowned out voices. It felt good, in all the ridicule and constant racism I guess there are still creatures who come from the same place as me. I may not be ready to take on the world now but I guess this is a start. Walking towards the arena I meet my next challenger. Which I managed to down in ten seconds by punching him straight in the gut.
I returned to the waiting room as the matches went by. Most of the contestants were pathetic but I had my eye on one in particular. *The alleyway hobo*. He didn't wield a weapon but was very adept at martial arts. Most of his matches lasted only half a minute at most. One time he managed to win in only two seconds. By twisting the arm holding a sword he managed to flip his opponent in the air and kick him out of bounds in an instant. [He should not be underestimated]. {Agreed, do you want my help}? [No I want to see how far I've come]. {Reckless as always}. [Yeah but I prefer to live a little reckless].

"Hey Crimson". [Oh hey Conan]. Conan walked up to the table I was sitting at alone. "I'm impressed the elder wasn't wrong to dub you freak of nature". [SO IT WAS YOUR CLANS FAULT]! He snickers to himself. "Relax I'm impressed by your fighting skills how did you get this way"?
[I didn't know how to respond since nobody has acknowledged me before but it wasn't my strength. [You could say I'm just a toy for somebody else]. "Really you know I'm sure that statement can easily be read wrong". My face flusters red as I realize the mistake I just made. [F-FOTGET WHAT I JUST SAID]. He just laughs as I flail my arms around. "I'm just messing with you theirs no need to tell me, I'll be cheering for you". Those words hit me hard, I've always wanted somebody to be on my side. [Thanks]. I give a bright smile.
"Alright I'll see you around, oh and I'll also let you know when Kan wakes up". [Alright I'll see you around]. It's the hobo's turn again so I decided to study his movements while eating some chicken. {The finals are up soon}. [Yeah I know I wonder who I'll be facing]. The matches were coming to an end as the only two left were me and the hobo. {It's time}. [I know let's go]. We make our ways to the stage ready for the final battle in the beginners league.

A World Forgotten
***This story will contain lite-litrpg elements, mainly character pages and a town page. There will also be settlement building and adventuring, missteps and achievements. But one thing it definitely won’t have is a harem. Nor will it have an overpowered MC. Contains mild cursing.*** ***feel free to critique my writing and offer input. This is my first venture into writing. I've always enjoyed litrpg/gamelit books. I feel like I write how I talk, so it may be a little different. You won't hurt my feelings if you see something wrong or out of place! *** ***What follows is a condensed part of chapter 1. Enjoy!*** Drew Cooper is thrust into a new, unfamiliar world. Waking up in his sweats and t-shirt near what seems to be a forgotten path through some woods, he struggles coming to terms that he's no longer in his apartment. As he tries to cope with his new reality, he hears a horse coming down the path. He hides behind a nearby tree dreading what may happen next. As the horse approaches, he sees a man walking next to it. The horse is burdened with packs and gear. When the man nears, Drew nearly panics. He has a large sword strapped to his waist, obviously a fighter. He continues to hide as the man slowly passes only for the man to stop a dozen meters past his hiding spot. "You may as well come out, ya know. You weren't as well hidden as you thought," the man stated matter-of-factly, letting the horse’s reins go and putting his hand on the hilt of his sword. Slowly and scared for his life, Drew raised up and walked from behind the tree. "I-I'm sorry. I wasn't planning on attacking you. I-I don't know where I am. I heard your horse and hid. I didn't know what you'd do if you saw me. I'm sorry," he nervously blurted out. A minute passed. Then two. The man seemed interested with Drew and stepped closer, eyes squinting as if trying to see something. "What's that on your shirt? Is that. What is that? Is that, Pac-man?" The man was visibly shaken while pointing at me. Looking down at his t-shirt nervously, "Yea. Yea. I woke up here a few hours ago I think. 3 maybe 4 hours. I’ve just been sitting here. Where am I? What's going on?" Drew asked. "That's not important right now," the man replied. " What's important is where you're from. What year is it?" "What year? April something 2020. Why? What's going on?" Drew continued now worried. The man was taken aback. After a few moments, he seemed to calm himself some. The man sighed and looked at Drew in earnest. "Well, I've got good news and bad news for ya. Bad news is you're not on Earth anymore. Good news is you happened to run into me and not someone else. You’re either really lucky, or it’s fate we met in these woods, and I don’t believe in luck." The man continued to walk towards Drew while talking and put out his hand. "I'm John Mitchell from St. Louis or thereabouts. You’ve got nothing to be scared of by me. Walk with me and let’s talk."
