《The Rise of the Skeleton Warrior》Mana

After learning about the history of Lutaria, the next thing on his agenda was learning about how Mana worked in this world.

Once again, they were broken down into categories. Whoever organized this did a pretty good job and it was straightforward, something Chris found helpful.
[Mana]
Mayet had a discussion with Skylight about letting Humanity borrow some of their Existence, which was endless, to give them perks.
Named the Illuminated, they could use the Existence to bend the surroundings around them to their benefits. This would be shown through either the glowing of their eyes in white or circulation of white light around their hands. As time progressed, the light would change to suit the wielder's Mana Core scheme.
Originally wielded by the Eluminated to help them survive, Skylight had dispersed her light across the whole of Lutaria after Feng's Suicide. As it seeped randomly into Humanity, people began to develop Mana Cores.
[Mana Core]
A Mana Core is a spatial storage space located next to the heart. When a Mana Core is created, the type of Mana that one can use will be randomly selected. When a Mana Core develops, it creates a limiter to protect the heart from Mana Sickness.
[Mana Sickness]
Mana Sickness occurs when the limiter for the Mana Core is broken. The leaking Mana will begin to degrade the heart over time, until it ends in death. One can still use a broken Mana Core, but each use will accelerate the symptoms and bring them closer to death. Currently, there is no cure for Mana Sickness.
[Mana Use]
> Linked Mana
Linked Mana is used by linking your Mana Core to an object and projecting that Mana through that object. The number of linked objects depends on the space capacity of your Mana Core. Once a link breaks, you can simply replace it with a new object. This is the easier of the two methods of utilizing Mana, since all you have to do is think of the effect you want and the object will make it happen.

> Mana Spells
Mana Spells are difficult to use. In order to use them, you have to create a word for a cast and stick to it. If you change the spell name, the intended effect will be lost and you'll be forced to start over, wasting time and putting yourself at risk of attacks if prone to such. It's rare to come across those that use Mana Spells.
This method was made easier to use when one of the first Illuminated began to write down the different spells that he had created. These became known as Spell Books and they are currently very rare, and go for high prices, normally for up to 10 Erim, thus, a lot of High Class members own Spell Books.
[Bliss]
A drug made from the essence of Feng, the Chaos Celestial.
A chemist accidentally fell into Crescent Lake and saw something shining at the bottom. When he swam down, he saw a large pool of purple liquid. Not knowing what it was, he touched it and a portion of it seeped into his hand. When nothing happened for a short while, he relaxed. Then his eyes glowed for a second and he found out that his already strong Water Mana was enhanced and he could control it, not just breathe in the water.
He had spent a few days gathering the purple liquid into a large container in his basement, where he began to create capsules out of Hipher Crystals, the only material that could contain whatever the liquid was. After years of experiments, he finally made a discovery.
If you have no Mana Core, taking it will either open a Mana Core and give you a random Mana control ability, or crush your heart and kill you. If you already have a Mana Core, it will either double your capacity and power, or it will collapse the Core, crushing the heart and kill you. The effects were always random, so taking it was essentially putting your life in the hands of this Bliss.

Bliss has been banned in many high cities and anyone caught using or selling Bliss will be imprisoned and charge with capital punishment. However, Bliss can still be found on the Black Market, although it is sold for 50 to 70 Silver.
Chris didn't focus too much on Bliss, since it was essentially a drug and he didn't like to involve himself with anything that would artificially enhance and grant power. They always ended in a bad way.
The origin of Mana was simple enough, since it was already stated in the history portion, so he focused on the two methods in using Mana.
From what he understood, Slone had used a Mana Spell, since he spoke a word linked to that spell and the effect was shown. Mary used Linked Mana, letting the gem on the staff do what she intended.
As for him, he wasn’t sure what kind of method would be best for him. He already was weird with his System and he could already use Mana without the two methods, but it looks like he may be the only one who can actually utilize this System feature.
He decided that he would stick with it for now and if the chance arrived, he'll learn which method would best suit him.
For now, he opened his Status and looked over it.

[Stat Points (SP): 5]
Everything looked the same since he checked last time and he had five SP that he could use.
Seeing as how he had a skill and it didn't seem to use his Mana points but instead effected his mind, he didn't really need to target a single area, for the time being, so he put a point into each area. It would be better to maintain some sort of balance in case he needed it.
[All Stats increased by 1]
With that, he couldn't really do much of anything regarding the Status so he mentally put it away.
Last thing would be to continue to explore the rest of the Crypt.
