Le fonctionnement des classes est quelque chose d’assez compliqué à comprendre. Pour obtenir une classe, on doit remplir des conditions, mais les conditions elles-mêmes sont très floues. On peut connaître certaines restrictions, comme posséder une certaine classe ou un certain titre, mais de nombreuses conditions ne sont pas exprimées. Par exemple, pour obtenir la classe [Épéiste], bien qu’aucune condition d’obtention ne soit précisée, il faut avoir un certain niveau dans l’escrime et être intéressé par le maniement de l’épée.
Pour ce qui est des évolutions des classes, il en est de même. Certaines classes verront leur évolution proposée dans le choix des classes, d’autres ne le seront jamais. De plus, certaines classes évoluent seules lorsque certaines conditions inconnues sont remplies. Cela peut-être l’acquisition d’une compétence ou d’un titre, la compréhension d’un concept ou même un événement durant la vie, qu’il soit présent ou passé.
Les compétences et titres, les expériences, les intérêts, l’existence elle-même est prise en compte dans l’obtention des classes.
Il existe trois types d’évolution de classe :
La première est l’évolution directe : la classe [Épéiste] évolue en classe [Expert épéiste] par exemple. Simple mais efficace. La deuxième est l’évolution dite “par échelons” : certaines classes, notamment les classes de mage, possèdent des échelons. Par exemple, la classe [Pyromancien (novice)] évolue en [Pyromancien (adepte)], puis (expert) et enfin (maître). Ce type d’évolution se fait d’elle-même lorsque vous remplissez une ou plusieurs conditions inconnues. Enfin, la troisième est l’évolution par fusion. Il s’agit de deux classes ou plus qui fusionnent pour devenir une nouvelle classe. Fait intéressant, on n’est pas obligé d’avoir une classe équipée pour pouvoir la fusionner. Cependant, il faut avoir maîtriser une classe pour pouvoir la fusionner.
Comment sait-on lorsque nous maîtrisons une classe ? On le sait juste, comme une sorte d’instinct.
