《Breaking the constellations》Chapter 13 - Judgment

Time quickly passed, and soon the sky turned dark. Many people around the camp went back to their tents, leaving only a few on patrol.
The tents were one of the cheap special items that could be bought with Monoceros. The little creature was everywhere! The strange thing was that every Monoceros shared the same mind. Many speculated that he used a special clone skill, or that all Monoceros were doppelgangers.
The tents were comfortable, and offered temperature regulation. The unfortunate thing was that they couldn’t be taken out of the tutorial. But even if they could, who would live in a small tent for a long time?
Using concealment technique, Gael walked forward while using the cover of the trees, slowly getting closer to the camp. He looked at the guards doing their rounds on the wall and once he found a breach, he quickly jumped over it and sneaked through the tents.
The process was easy, nobody had noticed him. The guards weren’t even paying attention to what they were doing. There was no danger of monsters invading the camp, so the only possibility was that they were watching for enemies from other camps.
Ron’s camp had taken many prisoners from other camps, and even abducted women from them. This would surely enrage many people. He walked through the tents, until he arrived before the largest tent one in the middle of the camp.
From what Gael observed the last days, Ron usually had some fun in his tent around this hour, and after 30 minutes, the girls would leave the tent. No one guarded his tent. From what Gael understood from Ron’s mindset, the guy truly believed that no one could guard him, as that would demonstrate weakness.
Other rulers could get themselves killed by doing this after leaving the tutorial, but that was not the case for Ron.
Gael hid himself between two tents that were some distance from Ron’s tent, and waited for his opportunity. After almost forty minutes, two girls left the tent and walked away. Gael saw no lights inside.
He didn’t waste the opportunity and sneaked toward the tent. He slowly opened the curtains, and saw Ron putting on his clothes, even before Ron had time to put on his shirt, Gael activated soul suppression and paralyzed the man in place.
Ron was just wearing pants, and he was just about to put on his shirt. He froze in a strange position with his back to Gael. Gael slowly circled the man and looked at him in the eyes.

“You really think of yourself as invincible right? That’s where you are wrong, one year from now will be your death birthday.” Gael smiled while looking at the frozen expression of Ron.
He placed Ron on his shoulder, and slowly moved out of the camp. Getting out of the camp was even easier than entering it. Even though he was carrying someone, with all his attributes at Low (peak) Ron’s weight didn’t hinder him.
He made sure to keep his eyes concentrated on Ron while he left the place. Although it was not easy, he made it out of the camp.
After getting to the forest, he ran north. There were some other camps to the south of Ron’s camp, but nothing to the north. Luckly, Ron’s camp was at the northern division of the camps, with only big frozen mountains there. No one had ever explored the place, but some rumors circulated about it.
Gael’s camp stood at the southern border of the camps region, and beyond it, there was the undead empire. To the eastern border of the camps region, was the sea, where the water kirin lived. And finally, at the western border, was the dragon’s lair, a place where no one dared to go to.
The northern border was a mystery to everyone after the tutorials were finished, no one had ever dared to go over there, but some speculated a powerful monster would surely live there.
After walking for a few hours, Gael placed Ron on the ground before him, and looked at the man. Ron was soft like a jelly. His whole body was sweating bullets. Gael saw the pure fear emanating from Ron’s soul. The long journey was exhausting for Gael, not because he was carrying Ron, but because of the constant activation of soul eyes.
The ability just a bit of his mana to be kept active, but the burden on his mind was huge. He felt a hammer was pounding on his mind right now.
“Fucking heaven defying ability!” Gael thought while looking at Ron. He had tested Ron through the whole journey to discover the range of the special ability. But he had to walk for two hours until he left the range. Since Ron's contractors were now too far away, he could finally kill the man.
After he left the camp, he began to make small cuts on Ron from minute to minute, but the man recovered the injuries in an instant. Only after walking for two hours, he left the range where the ability was effective.

Gael knew that the range was not so big, and that outside the tutorial, one could just capture Ron and get him out of the range easily. But one must understand that Ron’s ability still had much space to grow, which means that the effective range of the ability would only get bigger.
After seeing the cut he made on Ron’s arm didn’t heal instantly, he knew he had left the range of the ability. He threw Ron on the ground like a garbage, and looked at the man’s eyes.
Ron’s eyes were wide open. The man was clearly in panic, however, Gael didn’t show mercy and only said.
“You are a sadistic motherfucker, and deserve to die because of your perverse ways!” He raised his glaive and concentrated a bit of mana on the blade. He felt a stinging pain between his eyes from using too much of his mental capabilities, keeping soul eyes active for so long and now manipulating mana took a toll on his body.
Seeing Gael raising the glaive, Ron began to panic on the ground. He tried to move his body like a dead fish, struggling to resist against the soul suppression. “ARHHHHH!” Ron screamed while struggling.
Gael looked calmly at Ron, and he slashed downward intending on beheading Ron.
“BOOOOM!”
A huge flame explosion happened in the middle of the forest. Fire spread everywhere. Gael reacted quickly to the explosion and jumped backward while using shadow steps to their fullest.
Gael escaped from the range of explosion, and looked at the running figure in the forest. “Fucker!”
Ron had escaped the influence of soul suppression at the last moment before being killed. The fear of death and panic made him elevate his mental capability in the last moment, enabling him to leave the abilities effect.
Gael knew that the ability would become less effective after leaving the tutorial, but he didn’t think someone would resist it so soon.
He saw the fire spreading between him and the running figure on the other side of the forest, and just when he was about to run after him, a pack of wolves appeared from the forest.
The wolves that surrounded him were clearly mad for having their territory invaded and destroyed. Gael just wished he could tell the monsters that he was not the one responsible for destroying it, so they could chase Ron.
“It will be a thought fight…” He said in a low voice after looking around. His mental capabilities were waning after using soul eyes for a long time, and his head was not in the best of conditions.
Gael looked around and saw wolf carcasses all over the place. He had killed almost half of their pack, and after seeing their companions dead, the rest escaped.
He looked around and saw the fire lighted by Ron had already died. There were only some trees that were burnt pretty badly, but as the forest had plenty of humidity, the surrounding trees didn’t burn.
He looked around for clues to where Ron could have gone, but didn’t find anything. Tracking was not his specialty, and working with an exhausted mind was not the best thing. He tried to look around some more but didn’t find anything.
Seeing that his searching was not bearing any fruits, he looked around the place and faced a difficult decision. He could try to track Ron in the middle of the forest, or he could go back to the camp and conquer it. If he chose to go after Ron, he was sure that his search would not be a quick one, the time it would take would probably be a few days at least.
After some hesitation, he decided to turn back, he tried his best, but things still didn’t work out in the end. Now everything was in fate's hand. He turned around and went back to Ron’s camp.
When he got there, monsters were furiously attacking the camp. There were not only goblins, but also plenty of hobgoblins and some orcs. The creatures were frantically attacking the place, but even without Ron the camp held still and defended the attacks.
Seeing that the fight was over, Gael got out of his hiding spot and walked toward the camp.
