《The Legend of The Grandmaster》Chapter 5

Yu Xiaogang calmed his mood and inwardly shouted martial soul possession, two black horns protruded from his forehead, and a pair of black fleshy wings grew on his back.
Yu Xiaogang failed to notice that there were black runes on his body.
" Tyrant's Body! "
A black spirit ring ascended from his underfoot, centering on his body, and illusionary scales covered his body. His first spirit ability doubled his attack and defense.
Yu Xiaogang frowned after noticing his spirit power rapidly getting consumed after using the first spirit ability. This is the first time he felt the consumption of a black spirit ring. Where did he know everyone would be dumbstruck if they knew a rank 13 spirit-master was able to use 10,000-years-old spirit ring's ability for a few moments.
Ideally, even a rank 20 spirit-grandmaster with two-spirit rings would faint instantly because the consumption of a black ring is too high, but Yu Xiaogang did not know.
He released his martial spirit possession and returned to his room. Yu Xiaogang sat on the bed while planning a future training regime for himself. He planned for the next six months, after which he will resume training his spirit power. The biggest concern for him was to strengthen his control after his physical strength had grown rapidly. Secondly, spear training was also in his mind to increase his attack power and modify his theories.
The next morning Yu Xiaogang woke up even earlier than he usually does and quickly freshened up. He walked out of the room and remembered that the little girl was still sleeping and walked over to wake her up. Yu Xiaogang smiled after he saw the little girl drooling while sleeping.
" Yan'er, wake up."
He patted her head and called her. Yu Yan rubbed her sleepy eyes and looked pitifully at him as if blaming him for waking her up so early. Yu Xiaogang rolled his eyes at her and told her that he is going to prepare breakfast. Yu Yan's eyes shone a greedy light, and she quickly jumped off her bed walked straight in the bathroom.

He laughed, looking at the little girl's actions, and went towards the kitchen to cook. He added some herbs with other ingredients to cook a healthy porridge and meat buns for both of them; in no time, the food's fragrance spread to the entire house, and a certain girl's eyes shone with a greedy look.
Yu Xiaogang sat on the chair with his hands supporting his cheeks while thinking.
" Step! Step! "
He regained his focus as he heard the footsteps and saw the little girl had arrived. He gestured her to sit and gave the big portion of the porridge and meat buns to her.
" Eat slowly, Yan'er, it is still hot. "
He said after seeing her drool. Yu Yan nodded her little head, and he couldn't help but pinch her cheek. They enjoyed the rest of the breakfast peacefully.
After having breakfast, he told her to come back after an hour, and she went out to play. Yu Xiaogang has been lonely for his entire life and always felt that there was a void in his heart. Everything changed after he met little Yan although, he never said it. He treats her like his daughter.
Yu Xiaogang loves living peacefully, but if anyone has ill intent for Yu Yan, he would be the first one to thrash the other party.
Yu Xiaogang laughed and shook his head and thought maybe this is called being a parent. He cleared his mind and went out and took the pieces of branches he cut yesterday and started cutting it to make a wooden pole to practice with.
Yu Xiaogang's crafting was not profound, but he still managed to make a decent wooden pole.
He called the little girl and told her to run twenty laps around the house. She complied with a bitter face and started running around the house.
Yu Xiaogang also walked to the side and started his own practice. He had practiced the spear in his previous life and even created his own spear technique. Yu Xiaogang did not want to go down the old road because it would not be his Yu Xiaogang's path.

He firmly held the pole in his right hand and started thrusting it forward like a spear. He repeatedly thrust the pole and stopped after a thousand repetitions.
Yu Xiaogang wiped off the little sweat on his forehead and turned around to take a look at Yu Yan. He found that she had already completed her twenty laps and was playing around.
Yu Xiaogang was surprised because she was quicker than yesterday, but his lips twitched after seeing her play around.
Yu Xiaogang shook his head and started the same exercise with his left hand. His movements were better than before, and he easily completed a thousand repetitions.
After completing the repetitions, he closed his eyes and sat down on the spot and meditated to restore his condition to the peak.
" Yan'er, time to eat. "
He stood up and patted the dust from his body and called her to lunch. She immediately rushed into the house and washed her hands. She had already forgotten the unpleasantness of her past and restored her lively nature.
Yu Xiaogang rolled his eyes after looking at her actions and walked back into the house. He washed his hands and entered the kitchen to cook food for both of them.
He cooked a bowl of vegetables and a few pieces of roasted meat. Yu Xiaogang placed the food on the table and sat on the chair. He put a larger portion of vegetables and a few pieces of roasted meat in the little girl's bowl. She ate the food with full gusto and burped in satisfaction.
He smiled as he looked at her and told her to stay. Yu Xiaogang cleared the table and took out a book from his space tool. Yu Yan was shocked after seeing a book appearing out of thin air. Her eyes shined and asked him expectingly if he would teach her this magic.
Yu Xiaogang laughed and promised to teach after she grows up, and she cheered up after hearing him agree. He coughed lightly to catch her attention and placed the book in front of her.
He started teaching her to read and write, and because this was the first day, she had tears in her eyes caused him to panic, and it took him a lot of time to coax her. In the end, she bargained with him for delicious food. Yu Xiaogang had a weird look on his face and did not whether to laugh or cry.
He Yu Xiaogang is popularly known as the grandmaster, had to coax a little girl with food to teach her. He still agreed for his baby daughter.
Yu Xiaogang went back to practice after teaching her. He again started thrusting the pole with his right hand, and his actions were smoother as compared to before. He repeated the same with his left hand.
He wiped off the sweat and returned to the house and saw the little foodie waiting for him to prepare the dinner.
He prepared a light dinner for him and a porridge mixed with herbs and meat buns. Yu Xiaogang went to prepare the medicinal bath for her while she was eating her food.
He returned and told her to sit in the bathtub for half an hour, and he had estimated that her body would absorb all the medicine in that time period.
After returning to his bedroom, Yu Xiaogang sat cross-legged and cultivated the second stage of the first chapter of Devouring Codex. A powerful suction force absorbed all the energy in his surroundings, although it did not improve his level, but after a few circulations, he stabilized his strength and opened his eyes.
He got off his bed and went out of the room to check on the little Yan. He entered her room and saw the bed was empty and walked in the bathroom and saw that she had slept in the bathtub itself. He shook his head, picked her up, and used his spirit energy to dry her clothes.
Although Yu Xiaogang's rank is only 13 spirit- master but his control over spirit power is extremely delicate.

Dungeon Core Chat Room.
This is a slower-paced "experiment and dungeon building" web novel that tries to use the idea of peer-to-peer communication with Dungeon Cores instead of Dungeon to slave monster communication to break up the detailed dungeon building. Rank 1 description: (minimum met for system initialization...detailed description as follows) Each race was given a system by the gods to make up for their shortcomings and balance their place in this world. Humans: Abysmally bad at understanding and using magic unable to use more than the lowest of magic were given the "Skill System" magic in the form of premade skills with use, study, and mastery tied to experience. Elves: Intuitively understand magic and have long lives leading to vast knowledge and skill in their chosen fields. However, as a species, they have nearly zero sex drive and less than low fertility, so they were gifted the "World Tree System" with experience gained through the care of natural areas – gifting the chance of children to increase their numbers without dirty copulation. All “natural” or “wild” monsters are given an "Evolution system" designed around killing and consuming as many creatures as possible, slowly increasing strength and, at thresholds, allowing mutations to alter them multiple times. Dungeon cores are different. Unlike humans, they can see, manipulate and live off mana. Unlike Elves, they naturally crystallize after extended periods of time in high mana level areas. However, they cannot easily move or communicate and typically go insane without companionship. As a species other than the odd eccentric they are unimaginative. Brute forcing solutions without the drive to truly innovate. Thus they have been gifted with the "Dungeon Connection System" a magical version of the internet accessible by their peers that allows them to barter and sell: bait, traps, monsters, and knowledge, as well as entertain each other with “adventure streams” using exciting recorded battles and humorous reels of arrogant chumps biting off more than they can chew to often fatal effects. This is the casual story of a dungeon unluckily spawned far from potential adventurers forced to innovate beyond its peers to find its place in this world. Rank 2 Description: Justification. I've been on a dungeon core kick for months and while I love the genre – it's sparse with entries. Often the forced conflict gets repetitive and frantic solving of threats "power levels" the protagonist to god levels to progress the plot – taking away the nice steady progression fantasy I'm looking for. (Progression in this story is linked to how strong of monsters/traps/whatever he can create not his "level"...this is demonstrated by some of his newer monsters beating his older monsters not with discrete "this monster has 10 attack this one has 40") Additionally, the focus on 3rd parties with their drama takes away from the reason I’m reading dungeon core novels in the first place – I'm looking for magical crafting, experimentation and kingdom building – not defence from higher and higher levelled enemies looking to steal/destroy/control the MC. This novel is kind of just me writing the story I wish I could read. I like thinking about the experimentation that can be done in fantasy settings using 'mana' as an excuse to make up rules and try to keep them internally consistent. IE once I define how a rule works, I'm going to commit to keeping it – no breaking hard truths I've given when it's convenient, even if it backs me into a corner. Hopefully, that should make the story interesting to read even if it's SOL and less action-oriented. There will be problems to solve and a clear progression in strength (of created monsters and knowledge) however due to not wanting to force conflict for the sake of conflict the general theme will be closer to slice of life with few action sequences and no overarching goal so please keep that in mind when picking this up as the genre is not for everyone. Finally, I have a clear goal of what I want from this story (not an endless romp but a series of arcs and then a conclusion that's a couple of dozen medium-sized chapters long) I want to commit to finishing it or at least bringing it to a point of rest. I hate all the engaging stories that stop with a “hiatus” indefinitely so in the event I lose motivation I'll work to end this even if the ending becomes rushed/unsatisfying just to give a sense of closure. I’m planning on including several polls in terms of direction and taking feedback heavily into account if I get enough readers (but may choose to ignore it if it deviates too far from the direction I want to take this as in feedback like: “The MC needs a cartoonishly evil arch-enemy that wants to enslave him and force the mc to pump out magic items” or “the MC needs to make a body and learn teleportation then live with humans” will get shot down without consideration.)
