《The Legend of The Grandmaster》Chapter 17

" Father, are you okay? " Yu Yan spoke rather firmly. She summoned all of her strength and courage to talk to him. It has been a while since they returned to the house and had been sitting silently. The little girl had never seen her father so angry. Yu Xiaogang was so absorbed in his thoughts since returning that he even forgot Yu Yan sitting next to him. He was not afraid of the Spirit Hall lest alone a small Sun Tao. Yu Xiaogang had been thinking about the pattern on the forehead of Little Yan's martial spirit and whether he should tell her the truth about her spirit-power or not. " Ng! " " I am fine, Yan'er. " Yu Xiaogang snapped out of his thoughts after hearing her voice and replied impatiently. His facial expressions softened after realizing that she is still a little scared. " Yan'er, you must be tired after the awakening ceremony; why don't you go and rest for a while. I will cook a delicious dinner for my little princess. " Yu Xiaogang spoke after comforting her for a while. " Un! " Yu Yan felt at ease after Yu Xiaogang comforted her and firmly nodded, even she felt tired after everything that had happened today and dozed off as soon as she jumped on her bed after returning to the room. " Sigh! " Yu Xiaogang breathed deeply and walked back to his room after confirming that Little Yan had slept. He sat on the side of the desk and started skimming through all the books he had to identify the pattern on her martial spirit. After searching for a few hours, Yu Xiaogang found out that the pattern on the forehead of her martial spirit meant " Sovereign. " " Heavenly Snow Woman Sovereign. " Yu Xiaogang muttered with a complex look on his face because he finally figured out Little Yan's martial spirit. Yu Yan's martial spirit was the very first " Heavenly Snow Woman " and the queen, who ruled the entire clan. Yu Xiaogang did not feel it was possible at all for a human to have the original spirit beast as a martial spirit and Little Yan was not a hundred thousand years old spirit beast who chose to transform into a human being. Although he felt it is not possible, the facts are in front of him. Yu Xiaogang finally concluded that it might be related to her fate as a " Freak. " He shook his head and stopped thinking any more on this matter, and decided to tell her that she is also an " Innate Full Spirit Power. " Yu Xiaogang walked out of his room and saw that she was still sleeping. He decided not to wake her up after what happened today. He went back and continued reading a book. # Everyone was in embarrassing even after Yu Xiaogang and Yu Yan left. Although the children present on the scene did not personally experience the pressure, it did not prevent them from understanding that their teacher is way more powerful and that he was not happy about what had happened before. Sun Tao felt better after coughing up blood; he felt that his chest was a lot lighter and sat down on the spot to recover from his injury. While healing himself, Sun Tao thought that he might have died, but now he found out that it is only a minor injury. Sun Tao felt that he was really unlucky today while coming he got hurt after fending off a sudden attack from a spirit beast, and later, he angered Yu Xiaogang. He decided to tell his superiors everything. Other villagers and Old Jack were just stunned by the pressure and did not suffer any injury, and they recovered within a few moments. Old Jack and other villagers stood with the children and waited for Sun Tao to heal himself. Sun Tao opened his eyes and got up after a few minutes; he walked to the group and spoke to Old Jack, " Senior, can you take me to Xiao Chun's house. " He wore a gentle smile and affectionately rubbed Di Chun's head to show that he was not at all affected by the previous matter. " Sure. " Old Jack happily nodded; he took Di Chun and Sun Tao with him while other villagers present were responsible for sending the rest of the children back. After walking for a while, they reached Di Chun's house. Sun Tao respectfully greeted his parents and told them about the benefits their son would gain after joining the Spirit Hall. Even Old Jack persuaded them after he heard that Di Chun might become a Titled Douluo's disciple. Di Chun's parents had already thought of accepting Sun Tao's proposal, but they still asked Little Chun about his opinion. Although Di Chun had some affection for Yu Xiaogang because the latter had taught him for six months, in the end, he was still a kid who could not bear the temptation and finally agreed. " Great! " Sun Tao couldn't control his happiness and yell. " Don't worry; I will take care of him. Di Chun will become one of the strongest spirit-masters in the future. " Sun Tao reassured his parents. The other party felt more relaxed after hearing this. " Di Chun, go and pack all your clothes and other necessary stuff. We will leave in an hour. " Sun Tao left after saying this, and on the other hand, Di Chun and his parents did not waste a single second. They didn't know when would be the next time they meet their son. Old Jack also left after a few moments. The Spirit Hall's carriage arrived outside Di Chun's house after an hour. Di Chun and his parents were already waiting for the carriage, and he left after hugging his parents for a while. Sun Tao motioned the driver, and they left the village within a few moments. # Although Yu Xiaogang did not know that Di Chun had chosen the Spirit Hall and the latter had already left with Sun Tao, even if Yu Xiaogang knew he wouldn't care. Yu Xiaogang had finished reading the book and walked into the kitchen to cook a delicious meal for Yu Yan. The little girl had already woken up while he was cooking and sat beside the table. They both ate the food happily. " Tomorrow, we will leave the village. " Yu Xiaogang said indifferently. " Father, where are we going after leaving the village? " Yu Yan asked back immediately after he finished speaking. " We are going to Heaven Dou City. " Yu Xiaogang spoke with rare tenderness in his eyes. " Un! " Yu Yan excitedly nodded because she had already read about this city in the books given by him. Yu Xiaogang didn't seem to notice his daughter's excitement; instead, he was thinking about Liu Erlong. " Just a few more days." Yu Xiaogang muttered to himself.

Fortunately, for Fang Yuan, the universe activated the Strongest Principal System. As long as the school gained prestige, it could establish buildings, summon famous talents, and redeem various God-level rewards. From the founding of the main teaching building to improving the efficiency of learning; constructing a library, improving overall intelligence, constructing a well-equipped hospital as well as ensuring health and safety standards are followed…the Strongest Principal System made everything possible. In addition, the System provided a concert hall, art gallery, a lake garden, an observatory, a cafeteria with five-star cuisine as well. However, this was not all, the System even allowed Fang Yuan to summon world-famous talents from parallel worlds to teach his students. He could summon Shakespeare to teach Literature, Gauss to teach Mathematics, Einstein for Physics, Curie for Chemistry, Darwin for Biology, and Nightingale for medicine. He could also summon Beethoven to teach music, Van Gogh for art, Spielberg for film, and Messi for football! Thus, a formidable high school that would shock the world was born. Countless Hollywood celebrities and Silicon Valley geniuses would be produced by the school. “Bitcoin? A World With or Without Aliens
Nothing matters. It's not my opinion, it's a scientific fact. This is neither good nor bad, it just... is. I watched my entire country burn, fried on a patriotic pan after some jerk fired a bunch of nukes at the docile fleet of alien ships hovering over us. Who gave this moron such power? I don't know. Everyone involved is most likely dead by now. As for me, I can't die. I feel pain like a normal person would (I think), but no matter how terrible the conditions, I will never die or pass out. Fortunately, a lot of alien technology survived its crash to Earth, so I get to spend some time playing with it until Mr. Author gets bored and decides to screw up my life. Beware, this has a "harem" tag. If you haven't figured it out yet, I'm the main character and am therefore subject to this novel's timeline. While this bars me from the sweet ignorance of Chapter 1's me, it does have other perks... for example, I can tell you that heroine number one is personally responsible for kil-!? H-hey, back off! I'm your character, so if you didn't want me to be like this, then you should've written me differently! Randomguy here! In all seriousness, this novel is meant to explore the concept of nihilism as a post-apocalyptic/supernatural-scifi/satire told from a nihilistic introvert's first-person perspective. As you heard from my unsettled main character, each heroine is going to be a different type of horrifying socio/psychopath with dark motives and dangerous abilities (most of which are psychological). Why would I do something like this? Because I am, in reality, a nihilist who is often frustrated by weird things, like unrealistically dramatic stories, the industrialization of art (specifically music), and people who think swimming in brown creekwater for five hours is a "fun" activity. Don't get me wrong, neither me nor my character are depressed, we're just malcontents who make a lot of nerd references. I feel like the true essence of an "everything is worthless" perspective is lost on most pop-culture figures. The closest character I can think of at the moment is Rick from Rick and Morty, who is a drunk, angry nihilist that experienced tremendous loss. I, personally, find this belligerent state of mind to be very relatable, and have incorperated it into every chapter's introduction. Here, the main character talks directly to the reader (and me), shamelessly complaining about some semi-relevant facet of society, which probably doesn't make much sense... it's not really supposed to, though. These "angry nihilist" moments are just a peak into the main character's everyday existence, and also act as miniature rage-journals for me. It will sometimes take a subjectively 'positive' turn, but not very often. This is because reality isn't good or bad, "it just... is". I will eventually bring it full-circle to optimistic nihilism, since that seems to be a more practical way to live (and by "practical", I mean "doesn't create mental health issues"). It is, of course, a satire. I did this because most unnecessarily emotional moments or people usually make me feel kind of awkward, so I decided to mock them. That is, I plan to mock the characteristics about them I don't like in characters based solely off said characteristics. Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy my story!
