《Systematic Supremacy》14. Rewards, too many rewards

Selecting the first among the five notifications that did all they could to capture his attention, he received the expected announcement.
[Congratulations!]
[You have visited a new realm and completed the first part of the quest ‘Untapped potential 1/4’!]
[You have formed a new sub-system, Kingdom Building!]
[You have received the following rewards:
- Multilingualism skill
- Skill Crate]
[Do you wish to collect your rewards?]
Theo gave the system his confirmation, excitement clearly visible on his face.
[You have gained the skill Multilingualism]
[You have gained a Skill Crate]
Holding back his curiosity, he decided to open the rest of the notifications before inspecting his gains.
[Congratulations!]
[You have visited a new realm and completed the second part of the quest ‘Untapped potential 2/4’!]
[You have formed a new sub-system, Map!]
[You have received the following rewards:
- Toxin Circulation Physique
- Skill Crate]
[Do you wish to collect your rewards?]
Although he didn’t know how good or useful the rewards actually were, he was happy nonetheless. Giving another conformation he moved on to the next notification.
[Congratulations!]
[You have visited a new realm and completed the third part of the quest ‘Untapped potential 3/4’!]
[You have formed a new sub-system, Alteration!]
[You have received the following rewards:
- Bestial Influence skill
- Skill Crate]
[Do you wish to collect your rewards?]
By this point, Theo began to see a pattern in the rewards. He assumed that the first reward must be something to help him adapt to the new realm, that would also explain the heat and stomachache he felt in the second realm.
[Congratulations!]
[You have visited a new realm and completed the fourth part of the quest ‘Untapped potential 4/4’!]
[You have formed a new sub-system, Avatar Creation!]

[You have received the following rewards:
- Vampiric Virtue Physique
- Skill Crate]
[Do you wish to collect your rewards?]
‘Hurry up and check the last one!’ Unlike now Eileen didn’t show much excitement to the first four notifications.
Although the result of this last notification only further solidified his assumptions, he forgot all about that when he selected the last notification after collecting the rewards.
[Congratulations!]
[You have completed the quest ‘untapped potential’!]
[You have fully unlocked the functions of the system!]
[Your potential has been converted into the following constitutions:
- Constitution Of The First Rising Sun
- Seven Sinful Visions Constitution
- Demonic Throne Of Compulsion Constitution
- Supreme Yin Magnetism Constitution
- Myriad Branches Of Spirit’s Grace Constitution
- Constitution Of The First Orbiting Moon
- Seven Virtuous Visions Constitution
- Angelic Halo Of Liberation Constitution]
[You have received the following rewards:
- 5x Skill Crate
- 5x Ability Card Crate
- 5x Item Crate]
[Do you wish to collect your rewards?]
Theo was stunned. He didn’t know what any of the constitutions did, but they sounded overpowered even if the names were a little cringy.
Eileen on the other hand had disbelief written all over her face. Before Theo opened the notifications, she wasn’t allowed to read into the specifics, but only see the amount of energy and its quality flowing through the system, quite funny since she was allowed to forcefully start a quest though. She showed such excitement towards this notification because even if you compared all the energy of the first four notifications with this one, they wouldn’t even come close. It was like comparing four small ponds to an ocean.
Now that she saw its contents and was able to see its specifics, however, she slightly panicked.

‘Theo, don’t…!’
But it was too late.
Just as Theo collected the rewards, he felt something within him change just before he lost control of his body.
The world started trembling as if suffering under the pressure of something it wasn’t equipped to handle, a force too powerful for a mere lower plain of a realm to contain. The trembling didn’t appear to be intense at first glance, as its power could barely contend with some of the weaker earthquakes on the former Earth. Yet it wasn’t just the earth that trembled, it was everything, literally everything, from the air itself to even the laws of space and time. The only reason a lower plain of a realm could even survive such oppression, was because it shared its burden with not just its upper plains, but also the realm itself.
[Congratulations!]
[Your accomplishments have resulted in a qualitative change of the system]
[Because of the qualitative change of the system, you have unlocked special features of your subsystems!]
[Your Myriad Branches Of Spirit’s Grace Constitution has reacted with your other constitutions, resulting in the formation of branches and their corresponding graces!]
[You have received Flame’s grace]
[You have received Light’s grace]
[You have received Life’s grace]
[You have received Sun’s grace]
[You have received Yang’s grace]
[You have received Yin’s grace]
[You have rece…
The celebratory message couldn’t lift Theo’s mood however and he wasn't even able to read all the notifications, as changes started to appear on his incapacitated body.
His face that still resembled the one he had on Earth yet lost some of its flaws, either from the help of the system or due to his new vampire bloodline, started subtly changing. His features became sharper, and all the imperfections seemed to just disappear. His body grew slightly larger and his frame more defined, but what was even more apparent was the conflicting aura he gave off. It was like his aura didn’t know if it should be graceful, overbearing, serene, holy, or demonic.
But the changes inside his body were even more mindboggling. The interior of his body almost liquefied with the amount of energy that was reshaping his insides or just straight-up destroying what was there and rebuilding it from scratch.
Although Theo panicked at the start since he lost control of his body, he now slowly relaxed. Even as his insides reshaped themselves, it didn’t hurt one bit, in fact, it felt strangely empowering. He tried to call out to Eileen, but his connection to her seemed to be blocked. This process didn’t last long, however, as another notification appeared, one unlike any other before.
[Warning!]
[Due to inadequate quality of the realm and the host's vessel, the system must intervene in order to avoid compromising the vessel's integrity!]

The Cosmic Interloper
Synopsis: A cyborg transhuman escapes her corporate indenture and through unfathomably unlikely circumstances, she ends up in a fantasy world of full of unique magic, angry people with sharp implements, and the whole flavor-spectrum of divine entities. Hilarity ensues. Features: - No blue boxes or cultivation, this is not a LitRPG nor about martial arts - Hard-ish Sci-Fi meets hard-ish magic - Generally trying to keep this "rational" Rationale: My primary goal with The Cosmic Interloper is to write something that I myself would enjoy reading. Of course, that’s not the only motivation, but I think it’s the most important one for me to keep in mind, especially as the author. In fact, this whole story came about because after consuming oodles of fiction, I found myself craving a very specific type of story which I couldn’t find many examples of. Then I asked myself, “why not write it myself?” and here we are. Disclaimer: In general, while I’m not writing a comedy, I do intend for this story to be funny and a bit wacky or absurd. That said though, I am using this story as a vehicle to explore some potentially dark topics including (but not limited to) slavery, speciesism/racism, and existential questions of self, consciousness, and identity. Still, I’m going to leave the “traumatizing content” tags off, because I don’t feel that what I’ve written so far (or plan on writing) exceeds the threshold that would be necessary for me to tag it thusly. Also, [insert your favorite boilerplate “views expressed” disclaimer here]. I shouldn’t need to say this, but the main character can be wrong on occasion (gasp!) and the way she views the world is not the objective truth (if such a thing even exists).
