《Twist of fate》Chapter 11 - Fate

After arriving in the hall, I could see some people waiting to enter the underworld. I quickly went into one of the elevators and pressed the button of the floor where I could exchange the body pieces for rewards.
When the door of the elevator opened, I saw various booths where things were available for exchange. You could find from armors to pills in here.
Seeing a signal saying "Point exchange," I walked to it. There was a young woman clerk in there. She had blue eyes and dark hair. Her skin was white while her body was pretty good as well.
Seeing me arrive, she straightened her back and said with a seducing smile on her face. "Welcome. My name is Hannah. How can I serve you?"
I blushed a little after seeing her smile. I grabbed my backpack and said. "Hi. My name is Ullach. I am here to exchange some abyssal parts."
"Oh, good, show it to me."
I opened my backpack and showed the body part to her. Although it has already been two days since some pieces were collected, the abyss energy in them stopped the decay.
She picked the materials with expertise and counted them. I had collected 18 abyssal hearts, and a few other valuable materials.
After counting it, she said. "The hearts are in good condition; you and your teammates did quite a good jog."
"You misunderstood, I have no teammates," I replied.
There was a glint in the clerk's eye, and she said with a smile on her face while coming closer to the counter. "Oh, impressive. You are quite powerful than."
"Thanks..." I was pretty sure that my face was like a tomato by now.
She leaned forward and said. "The items that you have bought are worth 21.400 points. Could you please give me your card so that I can credit it?"
"I don't have a card yet, the booklet with the instructions said that I could get one in here."
"Oh, so you're new here. Let me get you one then." She turned around and entered a door while swaying her butt. My eyes were fixed on it for a moment. I looked around and was relieved when I saw that no one realized where I was looking at.
After a moment, she came back and showed me a black card. "You only have to drip some blood in it for it to recognize you as the owner. The points are already in it."
"Thanks."
She gave me the card and said. "Since you are new here, you don't know the place yet, right?"
"Yeah. I have only been to the Hall and this floor since I arrived."
"Oh, I can show you around if you want..." She looked while blushing, waiting for an answer.
"That would be perfect," I answered shyly.
"My shift ends in 1 hour. You can come back then, and I will show you around."

I smiled and said. "I will come back then. Bye, Hannah." I waved while turning around to leave.
"Bye Ullach."

Hannah looked around and was thankful that nobody saw what she did. She usually treated the clients that came here professionally, after all, she was quite beautiful, and many adventurers tried to woo her.
But… There was something magical in Ullach's red eyes that attracted her. The way he spoke…. his soothing voice….. And he hunted 18 abyssal's alone. He was quite strong for his age, as well. Although he was a bit older than him, his qualities made up for it.
"I hope everything goes well." She thought while blushing.

After leaving the Points exchange, I went toward an armory, to get a new greatsword. I looked around and saw a board, and written on it was "ARMORY" in big letters. Arriving there, I saw many people entering and leaving the store. There were many weapons on display, some of them were cheap, and had low quality, just like my sword. Some of them were way above what I had in my card, and was not even close to affording one of them.
Going to the balcony, I said. "Hello. I am here looking for a greatsword."
The clerk turned to me and answered. "Welcome to our store! What kind of greatsword would you like?"
"Well." I took my old greatsword and showed it to him."I have been using this one for a long time now. If you could get me one that had the same specs as this one, it would be great."
"Hm… This greatsword that you're holding is tierless but is strong. I will look into it for you." He left the balcony and gestured me to follow him to another part of the store.
"Wait." A voice coming from inside the store said. I turned around and saw a burly man coming to our direction. He looked to be in his forties. The mana around him was strong, and there was a warmth surrounding him.
The clerk beside me bowed to the man and said. "Boss…. Is something the matter?"
"No, there is nothing wrong." He answered the clerk. "You can go back. I will attend him personally."
The clerk was stunned for a moment but quickly composed himself. "Ok, I will go back then." The clerk nodded to me and left me with his boss.
"You must be Ullach. I am Ian. It's a pleasure to meet you." The man extended his hand, and I shook it.
"The pleasure is mine," I said while smiling. "Is there something you want to talk to me? To attend me personally…." I asked.
"Yes, young man, there is." He turned around and said. "Follow me."
I followed him into the store and entered the smith. Many weapons were being forged. When Ian passed, the other smiths nodded with their heads in his direction to acknowledge his presence. It seemed that he was well respected here.

Walking to the end of the smith, we entered a door and arrived at his private smith, or so I thought. He walked to a table and said. "Your master requested me to forge this sword for you with some materials that she bought when she arrived here. It took me two days to forge it. You arrived just in time." There was cloth covering the table. He grabbed it and took it off the table.
My eyes shone after seeing the greatsword that was on the table. The weapon was dark purple colored. Its blade shone with a black luster. The handle was forged together with the weapon, as well. Although it didn't have the same size as the previous greatsword, it was still pretty big. It had a length of 1,2 meters and 30 cm of the handle.
It was a magnificent weapon.
"It was forged using the materials of high tiered abyssal's, and using mithril and dragon scale as a base as well some other high tiered materials. I can say with surety that this is my masterpiece." Ian said with pride in his voice. "drip some blood on it, to create a connection. You will be the first one to touch it with hands. I only touched it using tools so that a connection would not form."
Ullach bit his thumb and focused so that it didn't regenerate immediately. He dripped some blood on the blade of the greatsword, and it shone with a purple luster. He grabbed the handle and felt a connection forming between him and the sword.
It felt amazing! The weapon was now like an extension of my body. Swinging, it felt natural. He could reinforce the weapon with his soul force with just a thought. There was no need to focus on it.
"It has recognized you as its owner." He looked at the sword and asked. "Now, you should name it."
I thought for a while and had a name in mind. "It's gonna be called Purbás. The purple death." He said while looking at his reflection on the blade.
"A fitting name. make justice to it." Ian walked toward the door and said. "It's time to leave."

I left the armory and walked around the floor, buying many things. The first thing that I went after was a spacial bag. Carrying a backpack from one place to the other was tiring, and sometimes even got on the way the fights. After buying a spacial bag of 4x4 meters for 15.000 points, I bought some clothes and miscellaneous things that would be necessary for my trips to the underworld.
After getting everything that I needed, I walked to the Point exchange to meet Hannah.
Arriving there, I saw she was waiting for me in front of the store, and another person had taken her place.
She had changed her attire and was wearing a dark green dress that accentuated her curves but still hid her essential places. She was wonderful.
She saw that I was coming and waved to me. "Hey."
"Hey, Hannah, how are you doing?"
"Much better after getting out of this place. Working all day is exhausting, you know."
"Well, at least we are going to get some fresh air now."
"Yeah, I think it's going to be great." She said while blushing.
"Let's get going then." I gestured for her to lead the way.
She grabbed my arm to lead me around. She began by showing me the entertainment floor, the place where the adventurers that came to this place could rest and have some fun. There was everything in there, from restaurants to massage parlors. The place was truly amazing and huge. I wandered if the fortress was enchanted to expand its size. But I focused on the tour after it.
By the end of the night, we were eating at the hotel restaurant where I was going to sleep.
"You are truly a wonder, you know. Someone that came from the capital of the north to find a job in here." I said while looking at her.
"Well, finding a job was not the only motive. I was part of a family of mages in there, but they restricted me too much and wanted to control everything that I did. You know what mage's clans are like." She said after remembering that I was also part of a clan of mages.
"Of course, I know how it's like. They want to control even what you eat! It's not like you are a member of the clan, it's more like you are their possession." I answered honestly.
"That's what I mean. So..." Hannah took a sip of the beverage on the table and continued. "They expected too much of me. So I left the clan. It was not like I wanted to be a chess piece in their political games, living a life that was meant to be what they wanted to. Others were happy in obliging to their will, but I was not."
"I know what it's like. And worse, if you don't attend to their expectations, they treat you like trash. The only person in my clan that truly cared about me was my brother. But even so, I choose to leave, and it was for the best." I said, and took a sip of my drink.
"I know, I know. And you know what? Fate is truly a wonder. Here we are, talking and having fun, far away from the oppression of our clans. If we both didn't decide to leave, we wouldn't have met today." She said while looking into my eyes with passion.
"Thankfully I left the clan. I didn't want to lose the opportunity to meet you," I said while looking at her.
Our faces blushed at the same time.
