《In New Dimensions Everyday》Zombie's POV 11

I must find a way to increase my body temperature. Roderick threw the goggle inside a trash can when nobody was around. He thought there was no better way to do so other than taking help of science. Then he wandered around in search of a laboratory since it was the logical place where he could find something of help. He had not lost the sense of smell, so it was easy for him to follow the fumes. Roderick kept on sniffing everywhere, making a fool out of himself, but he did not care. A while later, he saw the sign above a door: LAB. He got in there. As soon as he went in, he found himself raising his arms in surrender. There was a doctor's assistant who had seen him before. Most of all, he had a shotgun in his grip and Roderick was the one he was targeting. "I did not come here to kill you." Roderick whimpered, "I just want to stabilize my body temperature." "Of course you would want to. Not everyone will let a zombie go." Assistant said. "How do you know I am a zombie?" "It is one of the easiest things for me." Assistant put the gun down, "Come, I will cure you." "Cure?" Roderick was taken aback. He did not lower his hands. Assistant said nothing and moved towards a table. With the gun not staring at him, Roderick decided to look what the assistant was doing. Assistant walked over the fastened lieutenant. Lieutenant's legs were hitting tables near him, which shook the table full of chemicals on them. Here you are, you damn fatso. "Wait, Lieutenant." Assistant said then clutched some tubes, "Roderick, do you know why I am curing you before this Lieutenant?" "Why?" interrogated Roderick. "Because I want you to go. We don’t want violence here." "I can't go like this. I must find captive zombies before midnight!" "Forget about us. We are more than happy here." "You are also a zombie?" "I was. Now I am cured. I am a human again." Assistant smiled, "Will you please pass me the bile with green liquid?" "Sure." Roderick said and brought it to him. "Not dark green. You want me to cause a big fire or what? Bring me light green liquid." "They all look the same." Roderick spoke. This time he gave him the correct chemical. Assistant mixed it with a pink liquid then put all of it in a syringe. "You are lucky. We can make very little amount of this in a week." Assistant said by putting the needle through his skin." "What if this Lieutenant says you cured me? Won't you get in trouble?" "Security guy will get in trouble, not me. It is my job to cure the infected ones wherever I find them. I don’t have the same belief as the head doctor." "What belief does he have?" "He thinks this medicine is still a work in progress. I don’t think so. He just wants to create demand for this medicine so that he can sell it to government in high price after years." Assistant explained, "Cure shouldn’t be kept as investment." "You can make it. Why don’t you make it available for everyone?" "I don’t know how to make these from scratch. Doctor has kept the instructions to himself. I will have to lick Doc's ass to cure this dumb Lieutenant." He took the syringe out, "Now you are good to go. Go right now if you want to remain off the records. If I see you here again, then I will inform Raphael about you." Roderick got out from there. Not even five minutes had passed when a bunch of officers surrounded him. Damn! Why did he tell Raphael this soon? "I know he is a zombie." A sound came from somewhere. Some officers moved aside and Doctor appeared. "Check him." Doctor commanded while Roderick was lying on his chest with a military man on his back. He could see Raphael there in disbelief. Those men did measure his temperature, heartbeat, blood and everything. "Nothing's wrong with him." A medical staff looked at doctor in the end. "Never waste my time again." Raphael frowned at the doctor and commanded him to apologize with Roderick.

The Children of the Divine Limit
A realistic, psychological isekai: What pushes people to rejoice, to torture, to sacrifice, to kill? What gives some the will to survive and thrive in a new land and others the craving for dominance and exploitation? What would those who grew up without power all their lives do when given the approval and blessings of God Himself? How far will someone go to protect those close to them? How far will someone go to exact vengeance against an unjust world? How far can someone go before the abyss looks back at them? "Everything in the world is about sex — except sex. Sex is about power." - Oscar Wilde “Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power.” - Abraham Lincoln Greed is the worst of all the deadly sins; all of human history lays out the evidence to support this thesis. Consider all of the above before reading this story: A 12th-grade high school class is sent to another world; a world of sword and magic called Omicron where other-worlders are revered as heroes given the divine blessing of the Lord God Sapiora, creator of Omicron's human race. It is currently a world at war. The humans of Omicron need these divine heroes as weapons against the Demon Emperor and the demihuman forces of the evil god Azazelin. However, two students within the class, Ajax Leonid and Shaula Seikennith, haven't been given the hero's blessing. They've been given something else, something more curious; the blood of a deity who noticed their specialness. As a result, after escaping the clutches of their summoners who tried to kill them for their lack of heroic potential, Ajax and Shaula enter the new world of Omicron with no one on their side except each other. While wading through rivers of blood, Ajax and Shaula seek a stable life, a life where they can salvage happiness. They have each other above all else. Perhaps the cost will be worth it. Perhaps not.

Plague Doctor
The once-bustling and noisy streets were now filled with an eerie blanket of silence. Hoarse and frenzied whispers lingered high above the heavens, and an indescribable ancient giant lurked in the shadows of the bottomless ocean. A mysterious plague had outbroken, and natural disasters wrought the Earth. Global pandemic and catastrophes had the panicked masses seeking illusory shelters from the devastation, day and night. A bloody shower poured over the land as the streaks of lightning tore across the sky, illuminating the ill-intentioned gathering of ravens above. Nevermore, nevermore, quoth the ravens. “We can see that this malformed creature has twelve pairs of ribs like humans, but also has a “transverse bone” that humans do not possess…” In the medical school, Gu Jun continued bringing down his scalpel, illustrating the abnormal thoracic structure of the malformed cadaver on the dissection table to the surrounding students. Ominous and treacherous times had descended! Truth and logic had crumbled, order warped into a frenzy. Humanity can only forge ahead through the power of intelligence and wisdom.

Reincarnated as a Warlock with zero skill
My previous life was just as boring as yours. I was a marketing manager for a flooring company. The biggest challenge? Would the latest colour be called "Grey Oak" or "Oak Grey". Then, tragedy. I was struck down in the prime of my life by a negligent delivery driver and a pallet of laminate flooring - which is significantly heavier than you think. So there I was, smeared on the floor, absorbed in my own self pity. Where would I go? Heaven? Hell. Did I care? Apparently that was not what fate had in store for me. Reborn in a world of dragons and fantasy, I became a Warlock. A pretty darn important one too. The problem, I had little to no affinity to magic and I spent most of my time doing my best to avoid danger. Danger however, would not avoid me. So, with my new life as an amazing Warlock you'd think it would be easy street right? Wrong. Forces gather to move against the Kingdom I am sworn to protect and, whilst my inward allegiance is to whomever is the victor, outwardly I must lead the resistance against the invaders. With my skilled companions Asha - a mage that can actually do magic and Torg - a swordsman sworn to protect me, I can only hope that they distract the enemy long enough for me to run away.
