《In New Dimensions Everyday》Glittering Mess 4

After an hour of walk, they reached to Tafadzwa’s house. The broken door was as it was. Both could smell the dog’s scent and its fur was scattered around the living room. Roderick looked around the house, looking for any person lurking to shoot him. “Everyone must have gone to search us.” Roderick said, “Maybe they took Barry with them too.” Waylon stared at him, telling him to shut up. “What?” Waylon pushed Roderick and fired towards top of stairs. The goon rolled down from stairs. Roderick also held his rifle, then pressed the trigger. He too ended up killing one man, but his kill was ugly. Neither it neither fell down the stairway nor was his shot clean. Roderick’s bullet had exploded his head. The house became calm. “These men must be here to look after Barry.” Waylon said. They started to search for the basement as they thought it was the only inhospitable place in the entire house. Roderick tapped on floor, seeking for the hollow spot. “Waylon.” Roderick said. “Yes.” “Dogs can hear well too.” How could I forget silencer? Waylon lost his concentration. He kept stomping around. But he had an interest in a particular spot. Waylon even tapped it by the butt of his gun. Roderick heard hollowness from underneath. “Count on me for this.” Roderick said, punching a hole in the floor. Waylon pushed Roderick aside and peeked from the gap. Barry, mouth tied, was gazing up at them. Waylon made the enterable space by himself alone, then hopped inside. When Roderick landed, Waylon was cutting the ropes tying Barry to his chair. Roderick saw another captured person inside the room. He was unable to overlook him like Waylon did. Roderick removed cloth from his mouth. “Help me.” The man cried, “Untie me as well. I am also a cryptographer.” Waylon stopped cutting after hearing a dog barking near Tafadzwa’s house. Barry had been untied completely. “Waylon, loosen him too.” Roderick said. “No time. Tafadzwa is coming.” Waylon said, pushing Barry upwards. “But you can’t leave him here like this. Tafadzwa may kill him.” “Come up right now or he will do the same with you.” “PLEASE.” The cryptographer pleaded. “Give me the knife.” Roderick stretched his arm, “I will untie him.” Waylon caught Roderick’s arm and pulled him outside. Barking of the dog became louder. Roderick also understood Waylon was right. He ran out of the room with them, leaving the begging cryptographer behind. The trio ran to their jeep. The same monkey who had stolen his key was trying to start the jeep. The red spot on its back was unmistakable. Waylon’s heart came to his mouth when he realized he had left the key in its slot. The monkey recognized Roderick in a second, but Roderick was well prepared for such a condition. He shot the monkey to death before it could run away with the key. Three of them jumped inside the jeep and drove away.

Grave Digger Gary
Where is the last place you want to be when the zombie apocalypse begins? In a cemetary, digging a grave, of course - which is exactly where Gary finds himself when his world is abruptly initiated into the multiverse. And that's just the start of his problems. Due to a technical error, Gary doesn't get the same character sheet and upgrades as everyone else. Nope. Instead, Gary gets classified as one of the undead. He's a zombie now - except, Gary didn't die. And he doesn't want to, either!A LitRPG/Gamelit story of what happens when one man armed with a shovel takes on the undead hordes threatening to overrun his reality. Combines zombie apocalypse horror with pen and paper style RPG game mechanics. Updates are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at just after 6PM UK time / 11AM PT / 1PM EST . I've set up a Patreon account here: https://www.patreon.com/gravediggergary if you'd like to support the story and read up to 15 chapters ahead. All support is very much appreciated! The underlying system on which the story runs is a work in progress (like the story itself!) so there may be adjustments to character sheets etc as the novel rolls out. Spelling and grammar are British English unless I mess up in which case it's just gobbledygook (please feel free to point out any typographical mistakes or obvious errors, I appreciate it!)Finally, this story is cross-posted on Scribblehub. And I think that's everything! Thanks for reading! All content copyright Robert Thorne 2021

[PUBLISHED] Substation Seven: Condemnation
You can get your hands on the complete novel at https://mybook.to/substation7book1 Claire Aireneth needs to write her entire thesis in one week. As a student of the prestigious Royal Academy, her work on magitech automatons needs to not only hold sway with her professors, but keep in step with her late mother, who practically wrote the book on humanity's mechanized companions. If she fails, she'll have failed in her only self-given purpose: to become as good an engineer as dear ol' ma. Focusing the other half of her energy on keeping herself from keeling over in an anxiety attack, she does her best to weigh in her options. After hours of thought, she's at the verge of giving up hope on it altogether, until she realizes she has a unique edge on her fellow peers when it comes to doing research in a unique environment; A very unique environment. Her father is the kingdom's only magitech substation rounds officer: an incredibly important job that only requires a single person. It's through him that the magic powering the city's tens of thousands of devices operate smoothly from his small weekly adjustments, for it's industrial automatons that do the rest of the work for him. It's illegal to go down there, but Clare feels as though she has no choice. Going undergound into the substation system, she finds much, much more than a few simple androids busy with their menial tasks. She finds the kingdom's true form, a secret buried so, so deep, that it will stop at nothing to remain concealed. She runs dead center into a vast conspiracy that not only brings her walled off country into question, but her very perception of reality. It just so happens that this new reality doesn't like her one bit. On hiatus until someone asks me for some more! PM or email me and I'll make it happen! Kellinkston.com
