《I can summon my past lives》35- Cheating the Dao - Part 2/2 -

“Don’t you know already? I found my own way to get stronger.” Black Fang said.
Xerxes appeared to be curious as he asked, “How?”
Black Fang had reminiscent look as he remembered the old days when he hustled his way to the top of the Planeverse with few people being in the know. He said, “You know...when you use domains to comprehend a complete Dao, you’re just taking a shortcut that cripple your future prospects...because after learning that complete Dao, you have no other choice than to comprehend another different Dao to advance in Rank.”
Xerxes expressed his doubts, “Isn’t that how it is supposed to be? How it’s always been?”
“Yes, but I didn’t think like that at the time...I had another concept in my mind and I was hellbent on seeing it come to fruition...I must admit however that I almost went crazy trying to accomplish the impossible.” Black Fang said.
“What kind of concept was it?” It was now Damian’s turn to become curious.
“Well, I once thought that the only reason there had never been a Dao Being above the 12th rank was because they never specialized in a single element. If they put all their sweat and tears to develop a single element, then there would be a way to transcend their rank and reach higher heights in that element.” Black Fang said.
Xerxes said, “But you’d just be a mere rank 1 Dao Being. How can you go from there to reaching the realm above the rank 12 Dao being?”
“Hehe, I turned every domain I could find under the Darkness Dao into its own complete Dao. I told you I went crazy back then.” Black Fang said with a chuckle.
Xerxes felt like his mind had become blank. He couldn’t properly process what the wolf next to him said. He asked, “Can you explain how you did it?”

“Simple. I kept pushing the limit of what a simple domain could do until I reached the end of the road. Ultimately, the Dao Core had no choice but to stop my advance by crowning that domain a complete Dao. For example, ‘Umbral teleportation’ started as a Domain under the Darkness Dao. As I practised it, I went from being able to teleport from the shadows of a single planet to every place that had a shadow in the Planeverse...and the same fact that there’s no limit to the number of domains you can comprehend, there was also no limit to the domains under the Darkness Dao that I could comprehend.” Black Fang said.
“So how strong are you right now?” Xerxes asked.
“Who knows? Hehehe.” Said Black Fang, mysteriously. He then turned to the white lion, Xerxes and said, “Bring us where you guys came from, on the human continent. The heavenly clan can’t take anymore of this little guy’s presence.”
Raphael then said, “You’ll have to excuse me. I won’t be going with you...lest I start a massacre...hehehe...I will however come to visit you when I have some time, Master.”
A flash of violet later, Raphael was nowhere to be seen.
...and the next second, Damian and company appeared in his house.

Pope Pontius Eventus was standing in front of a rundown shop, “The Emerald Beauty.”
He was thinking about how he should introduce himself and how he should convince the mother to give advice to her son, advising him to join the church.
He gathered his courage and then entered the beauty shop under the shocked gazes of the people around.
His mission was an important one, he didn’t care about his image even if he was recognized by someone.

He had completely forgotten that only women could enter this kind of shop. What would a decrepit old man, no matter how saintly he looked, be doing in such a place? It left one going wild with their imagination.
When Diana Kaz saw an old man enter the beauty shop, she was out of words. Nonetheless, she acted professionally, believing that the old man was here to buy something for his wife or daughter and not for himself. People with those kinds of fetishes were heavily punished by the church should you be caught.
“Good day, sir. What can we help you with?” Diana Kaz said in a high pitched voice.
The Pope showed the kindest smile and then said, “Are you Diana Kaz, the mother of Damian Kaz?”
Multiple alarms exploded in Diana’s mind, she said, “Yes. What do you want?”
“Pope Pontius Eventus, at your service. The recent events forced me to make an appearance. I hope you can forgive this intrusion, but I really had no choice.” The Pope said, this time looking as serious as ever.
“Oh my god! Did something happen to Damian?” Her heart was racing, imagining the worst.
“Not at all. You do not have to worry about him. I’m here to talk about his future.” He said.
Diana immediately knew what he was there for, “Get the f*ck out of here! You want to send him to his death in your pointless war? GET OUT!!”
The Pope was so shocked that he forgot his bearing and almost said, “B*Tch, shut the f*ck up! Show some respect, I’m the freakin Pope. I’m the real deal and you talk to me like that?”

Bobby likes Pabst Blue Ribbon, NASCAR races, and throwing fireballs. A through and through Georgia boy, raised down in the sticks but now working with all things mystic. He is, in other words, a magician. Not just any magician- but one bound by the most egregious of terms: business contracts. See, a long time ago, Bobby got himself involved with a dragon whose business was making magicians, and Bobby wanted magic to be his business. Both of them having common interest, Bobby agreed to sign over his services in exchange for phenomenal (draconic) magic. A pretty awesome deal, right? The contract put him at the top percentage of human magicians, on top of having the backing of a dragon patron, and a fantastic set of benefits befitting an esteemed contractor, so it'd be smooth sailing from then on, right? Not so. That kind of power isn't granted without strings attached, and Bobby's practically bound up in them. Following the esoteric laws set forth by magicians , juggling them with the mortal interests he still has to abide by, and finding himself at the beck and call of a fickle and opaque patron makes his life as a magician a rollercoaster of ups and downs. But when his patron sets him on a strange task- with stranger company, no less, even Bobby has to question what his mission really is. Delving into fantastic crimes and cracking open mysteries is just the least he can do, and he'll do it with the help of his gun, his wand, and his trusted allies both large and small. --- Cover art is of the Georgia Guidestones. Directorate: Nationbuilding in Apocalypse
A nation is just a means of survival. Metro Manila fell within 5 months of the first report of cannibalism. Once a hyperurbanized region of 15 million inhabitants, it's been reduced to a dead, greenless shell. Most of the infected had since left to ravage the countryside. The central government was nowhere to be found.
