"You know you shouldn't listen to him..." The old man said.
"...I think I warned you about that." The old man followed up.
"Who are you?" Mekato asked. The man started to laugh.
"I never expected to forget the face of your own dad..." The old man said.
"F-Father?" Mekato asked.
"...Yes, Mekato..." The beared man followed up.
Mekato fel on his knees and started to sob.
"I... I couldn't save Fudo... I am sorry." Mekato said.
Mekato's dad turned his back on him and let out a sigh.
"I think you're wrong..." Mekato's dad said.
"W-What do you mean?" Mekato asked.
Mekato's dad turned back to him.
"...You should've known by now." Mekato's dad followed up.
"Father I don't get it... What do you mean?" Mekato asked.
Mekato's father started to walk away
"You shall need to find it out yourself... Whatever it is... If it is you defeating Tumotu or you finding out about-" Mekato's dad stopped talking and he stopped walking too.
"...Woops, I almost messed up." His dad said looking at him, he smiled.

His dad didn't answer, walking off.
"Father, Father!!" Mekato shouted as he dissapeared.

Mekato put his hand on his face.
"Honestly, I wish I knew." Mekato said.
Mekato notices the tears on his face.
"Wait... Did I cry?" Mekato asked.
"Ehh... Yes, you were shouting 'father' too." Lio explained.
"But, we have worse news." Lio followed up, grabbing the remote control in the hospital Mekato was laying.
He opened the TV and you saw Tumotu holding a speech.
"Welp, we actually got Kuruki he explained..." Lio said.
"...But now he is the leader." Lio quickly followed up.
Sherman opened the door, behind him was Yuudai and the rest.
"Yo." Mekato said, waving.
Yuudai didn't react for a reason, Mekato noticed he was nervous.
"...Are you all right?" Yuudai asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine." Mekato answered.
Behind Yuudai came Ima running, she hugged Mekato.
"Thank god you're fine." Ima said, almost choking Mekato.
Sherman was laughing.
"So, whats the deal?" Sherman asked.
"I have an idea..." Lio said.
"...But we need Yuudai's Kurenai for it." Lio followed up.
"M- me?" Yuudai said.
"Yeah, but I don't know if you are ready yet... So we need an alternative..." Lio said.
"So? What do we need?" Mekato asked.
"...A suicide attack." Lio explained.
"What are you saying?" Mekato asked.
"You heard me... We can defeat them, but not everyone." Lio explained.
"At least if we get five more of the Black Scorpion." Lio said afterwards.
"Its just an idea." Lio quickly said.

It was quiet for a while.
"Explain..." Mekato said.
"So you are accepting this?" Sherman said.
"If we have no other choice, we have to." Mekato replied.
"Well If everything stays as it is right now, we wont need to do it. Only as an emergency. I thought I should say it like that to make you guys understand." Lio explained.
Lio looked at his bottle of alcohol.
"...No." Yuudai mumbled, everyone turned to him.
"...I wont let that happen." Yuudai said, determined.
"No sacrifice is needed. Not even as emergency." Yuudai followed up.
Mekato looked at him. Yuudai looked back.
"If they swing at us, we will swing twice as hard!" Yuudai shouted, determined.
"Yeah!" Nobu followed up.
"Sure thing!" Tekashi said, the rest looked at them. Mekato laughed.
"What so funny?" Yuudai asked.
"You guys really remind me of squad A-17 and squad B-16." Mekato said.
"You should, because from now on we are..." Yuudai said.
"Squad C-15!" All three of them shouted.
Mekato's eyes lightened up, Yuudai looked just like himself.
"All right, let's get some action started!" Mekato said, standing up.
"H-How?!" Lio said.
"I regenerate too quick, don't I?" Mekato said, smiling.
The others started to laugh. Mekato could definitely see himself in Yuudai.

A man in a labcoat was typing in his computor.
"Sir, are you ready?" The man asked. Tumotu walked inside an capsule.
"Start it whenever you like." Tumotu replied.
"Yes sir... Counting down." The man in the labcoat pressed a button and the door closed.
A machine started counting down.
Three! Two! One! Zero! Iniating Cyberlazer!
Harime could hear Tumotu screaming from inside the capsule.
Charged 100% Done! The capsule slowly opened and Tumotu fell out the capsule.
His kurenai was activated.
"It feels good, no.. it feels great!" Tumotu said.
There were purple lines covering almost his entire body.
"So this is the power of the Stage four Kurenai!" Tumotu shouted determined.
The lines slowly strechted back to his hand, it had a cirle with spikes on it and it looked like a tattoo.
"So everytime you stab yourself on that position, the fourth Stage will occur." The man in the labcoat explained.
Tumotu deactivated his Kurenai.
"Great... Good job." Tumotu said, patting the man on the shoulder.
"Its not a problem, Sir." The man in the labcoat said.
Tumotu noticed the man had sun glasses on.
"So? Why do you always wear sunglasses?" Tumotu asked.
The man took the glasses off, he only had one of his eyes, and that eye was stitched up.
"W-What?" Tumotu's eyes widened up.
"Yeah, its such a drag." The man in the lab coat said.
"So? When did you lose it?" Tumotu asked.
"A long time ago... I sacrificed them for the sake of the world..." The man in the labcoat mumbled.
"What?" Tumotu asked. "A long time ago I said." The man replied.
"Ah, sure." Tumotu said, walking off with Harime.
"La vendetta si sente bene." The man in the labcoat said as he grinned.

Maker of Fire
On a world where magic kept civilization firmly in the bronze age, the Gods dropped an accountant and a mining engineer to start a political and industrial revolution. Dramatis Personae Aylem was a bookkeeping student when she died. The Gods reincarnated her as the greatest mage ever known, born into the ruling class of gigantic, magic-wielding humans. The Gods expect her to conquer the world and introduce double-entry accounting. Though Queen and numerical reformer, world conquest is stalled because everyone is scared of her and she doesn't like war. Emily was a retired engineer when she died. The Gods reincarnated her as one of the enslaved class of small, magicless humans. The Gods expect her to drag the world out of the bronze age. Though she's already recreated matches and wrought iron, introducing technology isn't going well because she was born a slave (oops) and having escaped, wants nothing to do with so-called "civilization." Asgotl was a whale when he died. The Gods reincarnated him as a griffin and expect him to have the same role he played in his previous life: to keep a reluctant prophet from walking off the job. If only they had remembered to tell him about it. Revised update schedule will be once a week on Saturdays, noonish Mountain Time (in North America)

MAZE - The Endless Quest
As all kids do, Hera wanted to be an explorer. Sadly when she turned 18, she discovered that her stats and lack of skills made her fail the requirements to become one, and she went to work on a bookstore. That should have been the end of her story. But when she wins a lottery to have her level up, she discovers a hidden skill and a rare one at that. The system gave her dream back, and this time she is not letting it go. ############################## The story is about a world where game-like systems are the norm. Everyone has a level, status, and even skills are a common thing. If your stats are good, you can also become an explorer, someone that ventures inside a place called MAZE, a dungeon of sorts filled with monsters, creatures, and things that the natural world is missing, such as magic and demi-humans. The story follows Hera, a woman who wanted to be an explorer, but her status were too low to become one. One day she wins a raffle that allows her to level up for the first time giving her the chance to achieve her childhood dream. It's more about how things work and what you can do with them than about power or revenge. The rhythm might be a bit slow for some, but that is the idea. I want to give sort of a slice of life feeling to most of it.
