Mekato felt a sudden chill and woke up. He yawned and stretched, slowly walking to the mirror. When he looked his eyes widened up. His kurenai was activated and he had two X marks on his eyes, suddenly he was tearing out blood.
"What is- ?!" He quickly grabbed a towel and when he blinked, his eyes went back to normal.
He stopped tearing up blood too. He looked at the towel.
What was that? Why did that happen? Mekato thought.
He let out a sigh. This is the first time he had that. It looked like his Kurenai was activated, but it was really odd.
Let's hope that doesn't happen again. He thought by himself.
He looked out of the window as he was dressing up. He saw Yuudai and Nobu talking. When he was dressed up someone opened the door. On the other side was Mitsu.
"Ima was asking if you were okay." Mitsu asked.
Mekato thought about what happened this morning.
"N-..No, everything is fine." Mekato replied.
"Sure... When you're ready come downstairs, Sherman asked me to tell you." She replied.
"Good, I'll be there soon." Mekato answered.
Mitsu slowly closed the door and continued walking.
Mekato let out a sigh, again. As he looked through the window. He noticed Yuudai looked up, so he quickly looked away. He turned his way back to the door and faced it.
"Time for some work." He said to himself.
Just as he wanted to open the door, he felt a sudden chill on his spine. He slowly turned and saw the man in the labcoat behind him. Just as Mekato wants to grab his gun the man in the labcoat kicks his weapon out of his hand, slamming it on the wall. He quickly grabbed him and leaned him to the door.
"Thats a bit harsh, isn't it?" He said.
"W-Who are you?" Mekato asked.

The man let out a sigh as he closed his eyes. When his eyes opened he had his kurenai activated. Mekato's eyes widened up. The Kurenai was Red... with X marks on it. Suddenly Mekato's eyes changed to the same Kurenai as his too.
"Oh? So you are a Benz?" The man said.
"A B-Benz?" Mekato asked.
The man let out a sigh.
"Let me show you." He said as he swung his fist.
He could see where his fist was going to swing too and where it would land, the time almost froze. Mekato ducked, doding the fist. The man tried punching him from every side, but Mekato could see it all. Where it came from. Where it would land. What he could do about it. The man stopped trying to punch him. He let go of him and walked to the window, looking outside.
"You have a red Kurenai... That means." Mekato said.
"Yep, we are blood related... Somehow." The man replied.
The man returned his Kurenai back to normal.
"Don't use it too long... The longer you use it, the more it wil make you blind." He said.
Mekato turned his Kurenai back to normal too.
"Wait, so I can become blind if I use it too long?" Mekato asked.
The man turned to him, showing four fingers.
"The normal Kurenai has only four stages..." He explained.
"...The Benz has five." He continued, as he showed five fingers now.
"At the moment, you are at Stage two out of five." He said.
"Every line you have on both of your eyes, is the stage you're at." He continued.
"Long ago it was used a lot by people... But it has been forgotten for centuries." He followed up, letting out a sigh.
"The name is Hitoshi by the way..." He said, smirking to Mekato.
"You were the one with Yamato, weren't you?" Mekato asked. Hitoshi smiled.

"Yeah... I helped him when he was at the brink of death..." Hitoshi said.

Yamato quickly grabs his radio:
"Hello? We need backup rightnow- !!" Suddenly Yamato gets punched far into the wood
"Yamato! YAMATO!" Tumotu quickly wants to run over, but the girl teleports infront of him.
He slowly turns to the girl.
"Oopsie, I wasn't intending to kill him, suffering was enough." The girl smiles, looking at Tumotu.
Yamato's vision went blurry. Suddenly someone appeared behind Tumotu, but Tumotu didn't notice him and continued talking to the girl. The last thing Yamato saw was the man grabbing him and running off, the man had his Kurenai activated too.

Yamato suddenly opened his eyes. He noticed he laid in a bed, his wounds were stitched up.
"You awake?" The man asked, looking to Yamato.
"Y-Yes... Where am I?" Yamato asked as he looked to his stitched wounds.
"The Capital... This is kind of my hidden base... Kuruki doesn't know a thing." He said, smirking.
"I saved you back there, didn't I?" The man said.
"The name is Hitoshi by the way." Hitoshi said, smiling.
Yamato tried to stand up.
"I have to go back-" "No no no no, you can't. They already think you're dead... I need you for something." Hitoshi explained.
"Oh and you wouldn't even be able to dodge the guards, looking away from the fact you can't even stand up." Hitoshi followed up.
Yamato let out a sigh and laid his head back on the bed.
"When you're back at a normal state, I will need you." Hitoshi said.
"If we get this done... No one will end up dead." Hitoshi.
"Well, what if your plan gets messed up? What if you calculated wrong? What if someone dies?" Yamato asked these questions.
The man grinned as he grabbed a cup of coffee.
"Trust me... This is going to be an happy end..." Hitoshi said.
"...I promised the old man for this."

"Now you understand what happened?" Hitoshi asked.
"Yes I do... But your promise...-" "Now is not the time, someone is coming, keep this talk quiet from the others." He said as he suddenly dissapeared.
The door smashes open.
"Mekato when are you coming?!" Sherman asked as he looked frustrated to him.
"I- I am coming right now!" Mekato replied shocked.
Sherman let out a sigh and walked back downstairs.
"Just be quick." Sherman replied exhausted.
Mekato walked out of the room and slowly closed the room door.

Tumotu let out a sigh, looking at a mirror. When he blinked, Hitoshi appeared behind him. Tumotu let out a sigh.
"What do you want?" Tumotu asked.
"I want to know more about..." Hitoshi said, slowly starting to grin.
"...Project C?" He followed up. Tumotu's eyes widened up.
When did he find out- "I already knew that all along..." Hitoshi said, stopping his thoughts.
"H-How?!" Tumotu said as he turned.
"You guys are too easy... I read your minds like a book." Hitoshi followed up, grinning.
Tumotu unholstered his dagger as he swung it directly at Hitoshi. The dagger went through his neck. Hitoshi leaned his head back, but his body wasn't falling to the ground. Suddenly Hitoshi whispered something--
"La vendetta si sente bene." Suddenly he leaned his head back infront of Tumotu,
his eyes were Red, and had an darker red pentagram mark on it.
"This is going to be fun..." Hitoshi said, grinning.

When the modern technology of Earth meets the medieval magic of Vera, which culture will invade the other world first? When the army rangers of the United States collide with the members of the Hunter's Guild, who will win? Updates on Wednesdays/Thursdays Cover is my own creation. Tips to reading: This is my first book, so cliches and tropes are used as the base and then expanded upon. My intention is to make it a casual read but deep if you decide to look closer. I'm not a people person, so my focus and purpose for writing this is to explore the world building and magic system, not necessarily the characters. There won't be a villian until the postgame ;) Author's philosophy: I took an professional personality inventory (through a community college back in 2018) and was categorized as a "double-checker." I'm never satisfied with the work that I complete, and never want to share it with anyone. But this book is a challenge to myself! As a rule of thumb, I will only add to the story. I can't remove elements I've already included (unless absolutely, absolutely necessary). PS, I'm a native English speaker.
