《Bloodline》Chapter - 4

Daemon who was standing at the top of the peak finally decided to move and join his son and grandsons down below after not seeing them for very long time, childhood years were short and he wanted to enjoy watching them grow up as they got stronger. This was one of the privileges of being a grandparent and he enjoyed this to his heart content forgetting the fact he was the Patriarch of house Redding.
“Alright that’s enough for today, I really am getting old seeing how fast you are improving” Raehor laughed.
“Yes father” Both boys said before bowing in respectful tone.
“Haha Raehor, you’ve truly been teaching your sons some good stuff” Daemon stated happily.
“Yes father, they both have the talent what they require at this age isn’t cultivation strength but hard work to improve the skills they have already and to make sure to not neglect them” Raehor stated proudly while puffing his chest out.
“Are you telling me they don’t practice cultivation most of the time but study skills and gain combat experience majority of the time?” Daemon was surprised at what Raehor told him.
“That’s correct father, they also study and learn other things regarding the outside world.” Raehor wanted to educate his sons properly.
“If they don’t cultivate most of the time then how are they at the peak Disciple level so young then?” Daemon was both pleased at this news and a little dissatisfied.
“Raegan and Raegar both have very high talent for martial arts, but their cultivation speed is truly monstrous. Raegan in particular he seems to enter meditation a lot easier and faster than Raegar he is also at 8th Disciple realm which he entered a few days ago, whereas Raegar is at 6th Disciple realm which is still fantastic compared to anyone else in his age group, especially from those ‘Geniuses’ from the main land” Raehor was truly grateful to the heavens for gifting him with such great sons.
“I see, I have been in secluded training for these past 5 years the last time I saw them was on their second birthday which was 7 years ago now, my how time truly flies when one is in secluded training” Daemon was a little upset he didn’t get to see his grandsons grow up.
In this world strength separated everyone, if you were strong then you were respected. If you were weak you were looked down upon by those with strength, they would deprive you of anything and everything from you that took a fancy to. This includes your woman, wealth, family heritage, loved ones and everything else you hold dear to this world.
Each realm in this world of Chaos had 9 levels and the realms are, Apprentice, Disciple, Master, Grandmaster, King, Emperor, and Sovereign. Each realm was harder to break into than the last and very few ever made it to Grandmaster level, the big clans in the mainland their clan masters those awe-inspiring strong and powerful clans and nobles all had Grandmasters behind their backs which protected their clan.
The only exception to this was the imperial family of Rosengard who had an King level ancestor who still lived and stood behind their back with few Grandmasters as elders and protectors of their bloodline to make sure that they would remain in control.

“Grandpa, father says secluded training is for when one is undergoing training to break through to the next level, were you successful?” Raegan asked, he was always curious about the old man who scared him the day he was born he wanted to know how powerful he was.
“Haha yes I recently broke through, grandpa wont have to leave you for a long time now, are you happy?” Daemon smiled gently at his grandson with warm gentle eyes.
Fuck! This old man knows what I want to know yet he doesn’t dare tell me straight away, he is truly and expert.
“Of course, you’ve neglected your grandsons for 5 years. What do you have to make up for it?” Raegan asked straight forwardly.
“Who’s this old man you call grandpa?” Raegar turned to Raegan with puzzled expression.
“This is your grandpa Raegar, he is father’s father, so that means he is your grandfather.” Raegan explained calmly
Raegar eyes sparkled as if he just realised the biggest secret in his life, he was only an ordinary child with no memories from previous life so he didn’t remember when his grandfather left at such a young age.
“Yes grandpa what do you have for us” Raegar as if this was all normal continued with Raegan question.
Daemon was a little startled he hoped they would forget once little Raegar asked ‘this damn grandson of mine is even more cunning than I thought completely different from his innocent little brother who’s always smiling, he is truly corrupting his younger brother.’ he thought to himself.
“Hmmm, can you use lightning element at all?” Daemon wanted to see if he had awoken to both his family’s inherited elements of fire and thunder.
“The baptism is coming up soon and then we will know” Raehor stated calmly while looking at his sons he truly hoped one of them would at least inherit that element which was almost extinct to the clan at the moment.
“I truly hope that you two can awaken to that element I wish to at least leave my legacy to one of you” Daemon looked at his grandsons and sighed.
This element which hasn’t been seen for 3 generation of the kids that were born while he was patriarch truly had him worried that they wouldn’t get new ones for a while, this was the element that made them stand above the rest of the world as if they were looking down at insects from a high mountain range, with the Dragon God flame thunder dragons bloodline flowing through their veins.
They had absolute control over thunder and fire based elements as if it was breathing itself, when they were enraged you could hear the thunder in the skies in rage as if defiance was absolutely and utterly unforgivable. Thunder would rain down from the heavens itself as if it was defiance to their very strength, the blessed children of the heavens the Redding clan which was feared and revered by all under heavens was reduced to a single mountain range.
All those wars they took part in, the slaughter, the annihilation of countless bloodlines. Those enemies waited for thousands of years to take their vengeance against these people that were revered as gods themselves in this world. They swore to take everything they hold dear to them and once those forces allied it was as if the whole world was fighting against a single Clan.

Daemon who was thinking of these events in the past suddenly felt enraged, as if those insects had no right to fight on the same stage as them as if numbers could matter. He knew what happened in that bloody war that was referred to as the war of the divine bloodlines, he was patiently waiting until the strength of the Redding clan was back to its peak all they needed was someone with both elements to awaken and lead the clan alongside himself.
“I won’t let you down father, grandpa, and the rest of the clan” Raegan and Raegar both said with vigorous look in their eyes.
“You can never let me down Raegan, and Raegar, our family is one with ancient history. One you will come to know in the future, I hope you can live up to our standards. The blood flowing through your veins is what differs you from the others. We alone can count on ourselves for protecting our loved ones, the ones we hold dear to us and protecting them. We’ve been away from the worlds view for far too long in the future we shall make our mark again in the history, when that time comes you must be more powerful than your enemies” Daemon spoke with sadness in his tone, he couldn’t bear to place such heavy burdens on his grandsons but at least there were two of them to share the burden.
“We will become strong grandpa, stronger than anyone and anything in this world, I will work hard to achieve these goals with Raegar, isn’t that right Raegar?” Raegan looked at his twin brother while smiling, was fond of his family especially now that he finally had one.
“Yes brother, I’ll follow your instructions” Raegar was carefree, his hair colour was scarlet red, while Raegan was Crimson red both their hair were down to the shoulder but Raegar liked to tie it up into ponytail while Raegan just let it down loose with his sharp sword like eyebrows which resembled his father he looked fierce, heroic, and above average looks which could be considered handsome by most people. Raegar on the other hand looked a lot more handsome than his brother, he was charming smiled warmly and was popular with the ladies with his looks which could drive any woman crazy. He was a lot more popular in the clan than his brother due to this, everyone knew he would grow to become an outrageously good looking man in future. Some even said he got it from his mother which looked like a goddess and Raegan resembled his father.
“Raegar earlier how did you manage to copy Raegan’s attack so perfectly and your father” Daemon finally asked the question he was puzzled with.
“I just know how to do it after seeing it once, my eyes allows me to see and remember every single detail of that attack as long its visible to naked eye grandpa that’s my dragon eyes power” Raegar was proud and confidently stated.
Daemon was startled at first but he sound found his bearing, he then turned around to inspect Raegan and calmly asked “what about you? What abilities do your pure blood eyes give you?”
“I haven’t really discovered anything grandpa, I just see things in slower motion and can see pretty far like everyone else” Raegan was disappointed with himself for not having an ability like his brother.
“You might awaken something during baptism a month from now so work hard in the mean time!” Daemon encouraged after seeing his grandsons dejected look.
Raehor and Aida who was standing to the side looked at their sons with proud expression on their faces, they knew that these two were very special from the rest of the clan members they just didn’t know how special they were until the following years unfolded.
“Alright, that’s enough. Raegan and Raegar go get breakfast. Mommy has made your favourite this time Raegar” Aida finally spoke after watching from the side
Raegar upon hearing this completely lost himself in excitement and dashed away. Raegan just smiled then chased after him.
“Raehor I saw what you did to Raegan earlier throwing him like that against the tree, don’t you think you are getting a little too brave these days?!” Aida threatened while glaring at him.
“Aida you can’t be spoiling them all the time they need to suffer some hardships” Raehor stated while smiling wryly.
“Oh really? They need to suffer some hardships do they?” She suddenly took step towards him letting out a powerful aura which enveloped him completely and he looked pale.
“You think you were the one that night on that bed forcing them out?! What makes you think you can harm my children as you please?” she completely lost it.
“Raehor if I were you I wouldn’t stand there I would run” Daemon joked
“Father please control this daughter of yours she is being unreasonable” Raehor tried to get some reinforcements
“ho you want to involve father in this?” She looked sideways at Daemon while smiling.
“oi oi you good for nothing son of mine are you trying to get me killed at this old age, I still have a lot to live for” Daemon quickly vanished from where he stood.
Raehor seeing this completely astonished at how his father just backed out from this, he then looked at his wife that was walking towards him. He now truly understood how scary a mother was protecting her children.

Giantslayer
Synopsis: Alain is a fledgling Giantslayer, enhanced individuals capable of killing deadly giants. But these giants are not big, they are what ancient humans would refer to as mundane animals or beasts. 'The Final Curse' as many humans call it, was a curse that shrunk down the entire human population to the size of small rodents. When the curse first occurred, the majority of the human population was eaten by beasts who are now of towering heights and sizes. But their abandoned gargantuan structures were not built for naught, the remaining humans retreated back into their now giant buildings and rebuild societies and nations inside of them. Follow Alain in his quest to right the wrongs done to his past and hunt down the elusive and mythical Elder Giants, giants capable of intellects and speech. Are they real? Alain certainly insists so despite no one believing him. But perhaps it did not matter, they were real enough to him for what they did to his family. A/N: I'm pretty new to writing creatively so I hope to improve as we move along the story. The prose I use is still fairly simple and 'plain', but I am also new to literature in general so I am hoping to improve my vocabulary as well. It should also come under no surprise that I am a non-native English speaker and writer as well. With that said, I do appreciate constructive feedback. Please don't be overly mean at least. All the chapters are rough drafts that will be edited in the future. The cover is by this user from pixiv: https://www.pixiv.net/en/users/4545042

An Un-Ideal Eternity
An Un-Ideal Eternity is about a man named Desmond, who is killed, revived, and then finds himself immortal in a post-apocalyptic society. Just because it’s a society doesn’t mean that either he or “they” have to be civilized. And just because a gentleman has become immortal does not mean that he has no dangers to be wary of. The good news is that he’s been afforded some very kind and very generous ministrations from his future-self. The bad news is that all those efforts might still not be enough, to allow our hero, to live in as untroubled and as un-tumultuous a manner as he’d prefer.
