《Cultivation Bug Fuyo》Chapter 26 - Little Rug

Tuzai and Fuyo made their way to the magic carpet parking lot. It wasn't very far from the Bone Relic Pavilion and only took them ten minutes to get there.
At the front of the area there was a large gate laced with barb wire. Behind the gates were hundreds of rugs, Fuyo was a bit confused.
"Umm...Tuzai, what are those?"
"They are magic carpets."
"Wait, you mean they are literally carpets? I thought that was a metaphor. How are we supposed to ride those things around?"
"They fly around; I'm not quite sure how they work because I've never been on one. Look up there."
Fuyo changed his gaze to the sky, up ahead was a cultivator just leaving the parking lot. He flew through the air and shot off into the distance.
"Hey, that guy has wings why doesn't he just fly?"
"Because flying gets exhausting, magic carpets are also faster and they can travel long distances."
It was very practical and useful Fuyo thought. They went to the front gate, it was closed. There was a little office on the left side covered by a glass window.
"Um, hey there. How do I get in to get my magic carpet?"
The guy they were talking to was reading a paper when he looked up, he noticed their clothes, looked at their temperament and realized they must be nobles. But he was also a noble along with every other employee here so he didn't have to grovel before them like most people.
Noble families would force their younger generation to get jobs and then cut them off from their inheritance for a few years. This was to teach them discipline and money management skills. If they never did this, then all it took was one bad egg to squander their entire fortune down the drain and the family would be done for.
"Oh, hey sorry about that. I'm the valet here. What's your parking number? I can give you directions."
"We don't know sorry, we have this thing here. We're not quite sure how it works." Tuzai slipped the magic carpet card underneath the glass window.

The guard grabbed it with a face full of smiles, many people would forget where they parked because so many magic carpets were parked here. It was only natural for them to forget. The reason so many park their magic carpets here is thanks to the security. No one would ever dear stealing from here. It was guarded by 12 Spirit Lords and even a Spirit King!
Even the front guard in front of them was a Spirit Warrior.
He glanced over the card and stopped in his tracks.
"M...Mi Lords, I didn't realize it was you. I apologize, I will escort you their personally."
He opened the gates and bowed as they walked through.
"Psst...what's going on?"
"I'm not sure, just play along."
Fuyo and Tuzai didn't know what to make of the situation but they continued on anyway. It can't be anything bad to be treated like a Lord right?
They walked through the front door and a magic carpet landed at their feet.
"Mi Lords, this is a navigation carpet. It will help us reach your carpet sooner."
They stepped on and the carpet lifted up into the air, Fuyo could image that it would feel very strange if he stood on two legs, he might even fall off but he was a caterpillar right now. It was like he was lying down so it was very comfortable.
It was such a beautiful feeling, flying through the air with the wind on your face. They flew through the air at 25 km's an hour. Along the way they saw many Spirit Warriors in suits of armor standing guard in different sections. They were surprised by the large amounts of magic carpets being parked here.
In one section alone there were more than a thousand.
The further they went, the less carpets they saw. Finally they got to an area where the entire ground was burnt black and there was only a single carpet lying on the ground. It was dark black with maroon lining. It almost blended in with the ground.
There were a few animals walking around here and there, it was very different from the other areas where there were no animals at all.

"Why are there so many animals around here?" Fuyo couldn't help but ask.
"Ah, that's for food." The guide replied.
I thought bees didn't eat meat but before he could voice his thoughts Tuzai noticed something was off about the carpet.
Zzz....ZZZZ...zzz..
"Is that carpet snoring?"
"Yes, it's a carpet with spiritual awareness. Didn't you know that?"
"Uh... No, the old man didn't tell us."
"Did he tell you about its homicidal tendencies?"
"It's WHAT?! What do you mean homicidal tendencies? Are you telling me it kills people?"
"Yeah, well... Only when it's hungry."
A chicken walked in front of the carpet, pecked at the ground a few times and then
Pew!
Whoosh!
Psssttt!
CHOMP!
The carpet lifted its head and underneath was a mouth with jagged and ferocious teeth covered in blood. It shot out a fireball, instantly roasting the chicken. The only thing remaining were the bunch of feathers that flew up into the air, the bird was no longer with us. It then swallowed the carcass of the chicken and started chewing.
Crunch...Crunch...
It continued to chew the chicken and crush its bones between its teeth.
Gulp
Burp
The carpet looked at Fuyo, Tuzai and the Guard guide then did an arrogant gesture and turned away like it was saying "Hmph, you're not even worth eating."
Tuzai grew incredibly afraid when she saw this scene; she could feel the nasty aura coming from the carpet, it was almost evil. Fuyo's hands started vibrating and shaking. His eyes looked like he saw a ghost. Tuzai saw his reaction; he was scared to death too. She went to hold and comfort him when he unexpectedly jumped forward.
"Grr....A carpet dears be so haughty in front of me? I will show you."
He wasn't shaking because he was scared; he was shaking because he was too excited.
He jumped onto the carpet's back and held onto its corners. "Arrrghhh!!!" The carpet let out a weird muffled yell and continued to struggle back against Fuyo. It shot out fireballs that flew in every direction.
Its mouth was on the bottom side so it couldn't bite Fuyo who was on top. It kept screaming and yelling trying to turn around and bite Fuyo. It bucked like a wild bull trying to throw him off.
Fuyo couldn't hold on properly. His feet and arms were very sticky but they weren't hands so he couldn't get a powerful grip using his muscles. If he could transform then it would be simple, but that wasn't the case.
He flew into the air and landed on the dirt nearby.
The rug rushed him like a wild lion seeking its prey. It aimed for his jugular.
Fuyo slowly lifted his head but no fear was visible in his eyes. In fact his eyes were so cold they were no different than a freezer. They were the eyes of a stone cold killer.
The carpet stopped its attack when it looked into Fuyos eyes. An overwhelming killing intent burst forth from his body, it was the arrogant aura of a world ruler. Someone who could look down on the world from his pedestal.
"I don't draw my sword often but when I do it taste blood."
He put on the most innocent face he could muster, his teeth curling into a smile and his eye rising slightly. It was the most horrible and horrendous expression anyone could muster, it nearly made the magic carpet jump out of its skin.
"Bow your head, accept me as your new master and I will let you live."
The carpet started shaking and sweating, it"s mind went blank and it froze in place for the next 3 minutes. In the end it couldn't fight against its fears anymore. It bowed its head and a light burst forth from its mouth and shot into Fuyo's forehead. This was a soul imprint, spiritual items can only imprint once in their entire lives.
Now Fuyo was its undisputed master.

A King in the Clouds
Tanlar. A cruel, repulsive, and foul word. It meant untitled, officially, but it also meant ungifted, unable, unworthy, unnecessary, unhuman. It was more a curse than a term, a badge only the damned and condemned wore. To be a tanlar was to know your life, your entire being, was insignificant. Once Kaizer had resigned himself to such a fate, but those times had passed. He may have been untitled, but he was anything but untalented. He refused to scrape by at the bottom of society. Those who stood above him could sneer all they liked, but he wouldn’t suffer being stepped on for long. He’d be better, much better. But of course he would be. ‘Fate’ demanded it so. [Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] What To Expect: The story of a boy becoming a man becoming a king + everything that entails. Largely gamelit, but later arcs could be called litrpg. Also schemes. A lot of schemes. I do love some good ol' fantasy politics and intrigue. Minimum Word Count a Week: TBA after Writathon Release Time(s): Daily for as long as I can/until the end of the Writathon. I also write The Deathseeker [Returning Dec 5th]

This is a Percy Jackson/Elderscrolls Fanfic I came up with in my free time. After writing 16 chapters I had some people DM me about co-posting it to different sites. Currently, I have it up over on Fanficiton.net and Spacebattles but as I saw this site allows fanfiction, and I use this site a lot, I decided to start posting it here as well. Feel free to enjoy it or hate it, I'm just writing to have some fun. If you're wanting to read it on either of those two sites I have the same name on both.
